Woof!!!

We are just starting out challenge at Cards for Men it Challenge #7 and it is all about The Great Outdoors. The challenge ends on April 8th. Karen Johnson has been drawing all of her life. She has worked on the feature film, “Fern gully The Last Rainforest” and has created animations for Disney, Fisher Price and Mattel. She has illustrated several children’s books and is currently teaching animation at a college in Wisconsin. She started Karen’s Doodles so she could share her whimsical drawings with crafters from around the world.

My card was so much fun to do. My image I think is just so cute.

I found some buttons I had that so I used them as embellishments. Out of the twine I made a rope toy added some brads that look like shells and a ball. Use some diamond glaze on his drink, lawn chair and glasses. These are the copics I used to color him with.

I finished off the inside of the card and I tried some sewing on my card. Here is the close up of the image.

My life has been crazy busy for these last couple weeks and I thought I had posted my card for Color Me Creative Classroom challenge #39 and I had not, I’m so sorry I’m posting my card so late but that challenge is still going on it ends on March 31, 2012. The theme for the challenge is ANYTHING GOES. The sponsor is Spesch Designer Stamps and my image I used is called Bonnie digital stamp.

 
The designed paper is from DCWV. The ribbon is from stamp’ in up. The grass punch is Martha Steward. The tiny flowers is from Punch a Bunch. I used pearl pen color sunny yellow. These are the copic markers I used. Card size is 5’ by 5’.


I also put a tiny yellow button on the bunny belly. Brilliance sky blue for the sky background. I do hope you can join us. Some wonderful prizes Spesch is giving a ways 4 of their wonderful images.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

It is time for The Outlaws Twisted Thursday challenge and that starts today. The challenge for this week is SPRING COLORS. The challenge ends on March 27th. When you enter your card remember to tag it TT032212. My stamp I used is one of Sylvia Zet’s called Friendship Ties. She was stamped on Cryogen white 89# card stock. The paper I used was from DCWV. On the edges used Martha Steward edger punch called scroll lace. The spellbinder was lacey's square. Ribbon was from Joann's called swirl jac daisy light blue. Pearl Pen little green, diamond glaze, glamour dust from deco art, smooch colors illuminate and tuxedo, three brads, brilliance ink sky blue.

I just love how the three brads shine. I was going to add flowers but the brads where calling my name.

I do hope you enjoy my card it is called a Magic card. I really do like making these card because they all turn out so different. The images I used are from CC Designs and they are called Woodland Daisy and Lady Bug Nora. I used Martha Stewards Lady Bug border punch for the edges. For the small flowers the punch was Carl Carla Crafts and my leafy branch is CC designs die. I did add some stickles glitter glue to the flowers, her wings and the lady bugs colors used are black diamond, cimmamon and star dust.

This is what the inside of the card looks like when it is open. You can put you sentiment on the top or on the bottom it is totally up to you. You can fold it both ways so whatever you want showing is up to you. I did use a little lady bug stamp and added some to the card and I do not know who made that stamp.
 
 My sentiment is from Sentimental Sunday and I’m wishing Suzanne many more Happy Birthday year for her and Color Me Creative Classroom.

Lavender Wishes

Here is another card I finished and I wanted to share with you. Lavenders and purples are my favorite colors but if you ask me on a different day I also love the shares of greens. icopic is having a challenge #73 on using the V family so I’m going to enter my card in their challenge. This is an image from Vivian Lau and she is called Kalia Doll. I used the Pearl Pen color Lilac. I found some paper flowers and some ribbon I had in my stash. The paper I used was some I also found in my scraps. I add some Bubble Caps from Epiphany crafts. Distress ink color dusty concord around the edges.
I created this card for the challenge at icopic and it is to use the V family on your card.

Butterfly Moments

I put this card together for our club. I made one and cute out all the supplies so the all the girls at club could make one of the cards. I got the idea from Kittie Kraft she has some wonderful cards and great ideas at her blog. The girls loved the card and it was so easy to make. The spellbinder was Fleurde Lis Rectangles. Both butterfly punches are from Martha Steward. I embossed the sentiment with detailed silver embossing power, I added the smallest stones I had.

Great News MARCH 19-24 OVER AT COLOR ME CREATIVE WE ARE HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY IT IS OUR 2ND YEAR SO COME AND JOIN US!!!! WE HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND PRIZES.

Fairy Well

For this week at The Outlaws Twisted Thursday challenge we are doing anything with wings. The challenge started today so I do hope you will join us. My image I used is from Squigglefly her name is Fairy Jenna and I just love her.
The paper I used is from stampin’ up sorry I do not know the name of the pack. Dies I used are Breezy wreath and arboscello tree from memory box. The exotic small butterflies are from cheery lynn designs. Add some stickles star dust and sprinkled some blue and purple glitter over that. The roses are from Wild Orchid crafts.
These are the copic markers I used to color my image and I used some of my prisma color pencils.

It has been as far as weather outstanding here (Wisconsin) yesterday it was 78 degrees and we broke the record and it is shows we are still going to have super weather. I’m not sure if I’m liking this???? Weather guy says this is the seconds warmest year on record for us. Make me think what is summer going to be like…. I hate HOT weather. So we will see. I was looking for my picture of the copic I used and I forgot to take a picture as you can tell I did not use a lot of colors. My grandson has been taking Tae Kwon Do (karate) since her was 4 years old and he will be 14 at the end of this month. He will think this card is so funny as I added some of the weapons they would use. He is a black belt now.

With Sympathy

It is The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and it is a Recipe card for this week and it needs to be Green- have at least one brad- a ribbon- and have glitter. So that pretty easy. When you go over to the challenge area you can seeing all the directions. These are not my favorite cards to make so I wanted to get them all done and I hope I will not have to make them for a long time. I normally make a bunch at a time so that is what I was doing and I messed up on this one because I normally do not put a lot of glitter on sympathy cards. The glitter I used is Stickles. I though this one would be great for the challenge so I added glitter and some brads. On all the cards the flower is from Celebrations Paper Flowers by Patloo and I got them at SCACD. The sentiment is from The Angel Company. It was punched out with McGills Word Tags 3” punch. All the paper I used is pearl paper and I embossed them with one of Cuddle bug folder. I cut out the image with spellbinders die called Beaded Circles. Martha Steward punch branch. My image is from Stamping Boutique called praying hands.

I used Viva Pearl Pen light Green for this card. I sponged with Distress Ink color evergreen bough. Copic markers E11, E00, G00 and G000.
 
On both cards I used Viva Pearl Pen color Gold and sponged with Distress Ink color Wild Honey. Copic marker E11, E00, Y26, Y21.

The card one the left Pearl Pen is Ice White and I sponged with distress ink  Weathered Wood. The card on the right Pearl Pen is Ice White and I sponged with Broken China. Copic markers E11, E00, B91, B93, BG000, and BG01.

Pearl Pen is Lilac and the Distress ink is Disty Concord. Copic markers E11, E00, BV 34, BV31.
