Of all good things upon the earth a faithful friend is best

Of all good things inside 2012
It is time for our new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and for this week the challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH A TWIST WITH A GATEFOLD CARD. I made my card for a friend that was in the hospital, glad to say she came home today. If you do not know how to make a Gatefold card here is a link so you can join us.
Of all good things

In the front I added a sentiment I just love, some ribbon and used a couple of Martha Steward punches classic butterfly  and the monarch butterfly. The paper is from Die Cuts with a View.
Of all good things inside open 2012
I cut out my image with spellbinder die cut floral oval. My image is from Nicecane it is from his collage sheet of Little Magic Girls.  As you can see I went inside with the ribbon also it looked so pretty as well as the butterflies. Martha Steward butterfly edger.

Sponged around the image with brilliance coral ink, added some pink pearls to the frame, used some deco art glamour dust and added some stickles star dust for some more sparkle. Thanks for stopping by. I can’t believe it is almost the week end already. Say goodbye to May and welcome to June.

Summer Days

Summer Days 2012
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Memorial Day week end spending time with your family’s. I had a wonderful time with family and working out in the yard. It was somewhat HOT but it did feel pretty good. I have not seen this shape of card around much but I received a card from a dear friend like this for my birthday and I had to make one so I email her and found out some information about the card so this is what I found out it is designed by Peerless and called Stubby Diamond card. I do have to tell you it is very important to have your measurements exacts because if you don’t it will not fold together right. I know because I had to redo it several times, but I got it.  The image I have here is from Nicecrane Designs, he has created a couple sets of these wonderful Little Magic Girls  and Little Magic Girls 2, if you would like to check them out. He also has some incredible collage sheets of The Wizard of Oz.
I did take several pictures of the finished card just incase in wanted to make it this way you can see how it looks done in different angles. The spellbinder I used is called lacey circles, Brilliance ink Victorian violet and sky blue. Diamond glaze, ribbon, Ice Stickles grape ice, mint ice and star dust. The little pearls and stuff I got in the bridle department at Hobby Lobby.

Fishing 2012
It is time again for the challenge at The Outlawz at Twisted Thursday and for this week the challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH THE TWIST OF SPORTS.  The challenge ends on May 30th so we would love to see what you can come up with. The stamp I used is from Northwood's stamps , the fishing pole is from Lasting impression and the birds are from Stampscapes. I did mask my image I used Eclipse sticky adhesive. Stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo black. I distressed the edges and I used 4 of each color on the corners and 2 blue ones of brads. I have found I never use brads anymore so I’m trying to use then more as I have so many. Created the background with distress inks and  sponge's, the colors I use are mustard seed, wild honey, scattered straw, bundled sage, forest moss, stormy sky's, tumbled glass and chipped sapphire.
Fishing markers These are the copic markers that was used to color the image. Tried some twinkling H2o’s iridescent blue to give the fish a fishy look not sure if it even helped. Added some white liquid applique and heated it a little so it would bubble up some to give the look of some waves. Used some diamond glaze from Jude kins to give a shinny look on the water and the fish.
Fishing side 2012 You can see the fish a little better now with the close up but I’m not sure if I like it or not and I tipped with a little white on the branches to give them a little highlight.

I hope you can join us at Twisted Thursday if you can’t stop by and see the DT’s cards, the girls all did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Memorial Day week end everyone.

Congratulations! 2012
Hello to all my wonderful followers! We had a fantastic week end here in Wisconsin beautiful sun shine and nice warm to a little too warm for me but the garden is all planted but still have some flowers I want to change and add. I put my Hummingbird feeder out yesterday and had some little visitor come by, I was so excited. I feed my birds all year around, I love seeing them come around. I had some problems putting my watermark on my first card as you can see but I did figure it out. I’m still having some problem trying to get everything to work right. I uploaded a image and I still can not find where it went. I had Window XP and now I have Windows 7 and so far I’m not to happy with Window 7. It takes me forever to do anything. Sorry you did not want to read this. But I know you will understand.

The clip I added to the card is called Classic Clips I have had them for a long time. I have 4 different one’s 2 in gold and 2 in silver each has a different look. I do not know if you can even order them. Added glitter dots and a strip that had sticky on the back over the ribbon. Here is the close up of the image.
