My kids and there Easter cards

Can you believe how good they are sitting? It did not last for very long, just long enough so grandma could take some pictures and they where gone. They picked out there Easter card. Of course Aiden got the one that says "My butt hurts" and Emma wanted the one that said " I thought I saw a puddy cat". I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I just wanted to share that with you. Have a super week.

Just thought I would share this thought with you today.

Thought for the day:
Women are Angels
And when someone breaks our wings
We simply continue to fly on a broomstick
We're flexible like that ....

HappyBirthdayFlowerwithbutterflycharm

This is a birthday card I made for my sister in law. I just love the way it turned out. That is called "Tag Punch Star" it is a tutorial on splitcoast and if you click here it will bring you right to the tutorial. The star is not easy to make, I found it hard to make sure all the points line up right. I added a flower rime stone and a small rime stone in the middle for the center of the star. The blue flowers on the bottom are rime stones as well. I punched out two Ovals with Stampin' up punches and added a saying that said Happy Birthday. Some ribbon and a charm for a small gift. Have a wonderful Easter everyone!

It's always Spring Time. At the Madison Mingle.

Mingel card 2010

It’s always Spring Time. 5 1/2 by 4 ¼ Card Size Bottom layer is 3 ½ by 3 ½. Middle layer is 3 ¼ by 3 ¼. Top layer is 3 by 3. On the middle layer and the top layer I poked holes all around the card stock. Using Tim Holtz’s ruler and lining it up to the edge of the card stock and poking the holds with the paper pierce. I also have a pad in the kit for you to use to help make the piercing easier for you. The bottom layer is taped on to the card stock in an angle and so is the middle layer of card stock. I used matching card stock and stamped the butterflies on to the different colored card stock and then punched then out with Martha Stewart punch that matched the butterflies. Color inks I used are from Stampin’ up!, More Mustard, Marvelous Magenta, Night of Navy and Garden Green. I raised the top layer with pop dots and added my butterflies, just gluing then in the middle so the wings would come up a little. How to add a little something on the bottom I used two ovals from Stampin’ up! Punches Oval 1 and Oval 2 and layered then and used pop dots to raise it up from the card. The stamp I used was from The Angel Company. I did put in several stamps from other companies so if you want it to say something else it is up to you. The ink I used to stamp the words is Archival VersaFine onyx black.

You need to do directions and send a picture of your card with the directions and the girls make up binders with all the cards in then.

You have no idea how hard this card was for me to make. I find it really hard to make a simple card. I really need to work on that. I just love to put embellishments, lots of ribbon, flowers and layers. I just wanted to do so much more to the card. Like add ribbon, rime stones and much more. My friends and I go every year to the Madison Mingle, it is always in March but this year we are having it in April and we have sooooo much fun. The cost is only $45.00 for the hole week end. You need to pay for you food and room if you come up and stay. We look so much forward to this every year, this is OUR getaway. There is about 60 to 80 girls that get together and we make card all day long and it starts on Friday and lasts tell Sunday, we all make one card and bring it and everyone gets a chance to make your card so it depends on how many people come so if 50 people come you can make 50 cards and so forth. We always go up a day earlier so we do not have to rush ourselves and we stay in a Motel and get rooms that are connected. If there is anyone that lives in are around that area that would like to join us let me know, I hope there is still time to register.

I want to Play!

Come play with me.

This is an image from Meljen Designs. She has so many wonderful images. I needed to created a card for a stamping club I belong to, so this is it. When I copied it I flipped the image so I would has him going both ways so when I did the card I did not like him the other way I flipped him with the card going this way so I did the another card just a little different.Play.

I did them pretty much the same, just a little different. I colored them with my copic markers. Added a flower I made and a couple embellishment and I was done.

Imagine.

Imagine.

I thought I should make a card for fun challenges also. I pretty much did as I did my tutorial. I do hope everyone learned something from the tutorial or I was able to help some to learn how to do this. If you did not try it, really it is not that hard and the cards turn out so beautiful. My time to Craft is having a challenge for a manly card and these make beautiful men cards.

I think I will just sit back and relax.

I reaaly was not sure how I was going to do this little guy but he is so cute and I really wanted to give him a try. So at first I started to just color him and I have been making my own I guess you would call it Styrofoam Fluff in all kinds of colors and I added glitter to all the colors I made. I got thinking how about trying the back I made, I bet it would work great for the Panda so I used my C07 copic and colored most places I thought would be dark and then added the black Fluff. I used Glossy Accents to hold it on and it worked good. I also have some real Flower Soft and it like a mix of wild flowers and I used that for the ground. I even put wiggle eyes on the Panda. The images I used is from Maljen. She is has a new site on PCP and I love her images if you would like to see more of her images just click here. I'm sure you would be glad you did. The image I used is called "Happy Panda". The Happy Birthday stamp is from The Angel Company. I added some black ribbon and some black dots. I hope you had a wonderful week end. Cute Card Thursday is having a chellange and it for CELEBRATIONS and Kaboodle doodles is having a HAPPY BIRTHDAY challenge.

Off I go...I'm going to a Birthday!

I am going to a birthday. This is one of Sassy Cheryl images. She has so many wonderful images to choose from. The one I have here is called "Patsy Birthday". This week is a sketch challenge. Sometimes I have a hard time sticking to the sketch because I think of this and that, I tried real hard this time.

If you would like to check out Sassy Cheryl's Challenges you can click here and if you would like to check out all her wonderful images you can click here.

My card is 6 1/2 by 5 and in next layer is 6 1/4 by 4 3/4 and in the back I put ribbon. My under layer is 2 3/4 by 5 and the next layer is 4 3/4 by 2 1/2 and my top layer is 3 3/4 by 3 and that worked for the card sketch. I made the flowers and put rime stone on them, used them for where they showed the stars. I colored Patsy with copic markers. For the field of flowers she is walking in the is Flower Soft. At the top I really wanted to add something so I put some butterflies. I hope you enjoy my card.

After I was reading and found out that Charisma Cards had a challenge going and it had to have a butterfly, also flutterby had a challenge, your card had to have a butterfly, fairies or angels. Cup Cake Challenges your card had to have flowers. So that was a added plus.

Gardener 1 I did color my images with Copic markers and I sponged around the edges with Brilliance Ink "orange".  I was really having so much fun with this card and with him holding the carrots, I had to embellish it with some of the carrots I had, added some buttons, different kinds of ribbon, several kinds of brads. I even found some pineapples.Gardener 2 Gardener 3

I had to think of something to put on the outside of the card. One the left side I added some more ribbon and brads and a green pineapple. One the right side, the stamp I used for the saying came from The Angel Company. I made the flowers and put a rime stone in the middle and added some more ribbon and yellow pineapple on the one side. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. I just found out that

Paper Sundaes
