There’s no people like snow people

There's no people like snow people 2013

Happy New Year to everyone. Have you made your new year resolution yet? I have several and so far I’m doing pretty good. I think everyone does the weight loss one but I’m going to start going thru my house and if I fine things we have not used in the last couple of years, out it goes or in the rummage sale. Also last year I did not buy much craft products because I have so much stuff (only things I use every day like tape, glue) so the same goes for this year, I need to use up what I have. I have to admit I did buy one big thing and that was the Silhouette Cameo. So I’m going to be good at least try. Pray for me…. This is my first card for 2013 and we are having our challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and the Twisted for this week challenge is “SNOW PEOPLE”!!! Not much snow here in Wisconsin, I can’t believe I’m saying that. North of us have lots of snow but I live in the south east corner and we have had not much snow so far. So I used one of Karen’s Doodles images called “First Snowfall”. I can see all the kids out side just enjoying the first snow. My granddaughter Emma (age7) was here several days ago and she was all excited and she say grandma it’s snowing  hay….. and about half an hour later it stopped and she was disappointed we did not get any snow.

I used some Cheesecloth. The ribbon is holiday ribbon bow-tique from Michaels.

My sentiment is a stamp from Hampton Stamps. I have had it for many of years. The paper was from a DCWV Christmas winter pack.

There's no people like snow people flat 2013

Snowflakes from the Christmas section. Distress ink Stormy Sky.

The punch was mitten from Punch a Bunch. Inside area left open to add a sentiment or a written message.

There's no people like snow people markers

Copic markers used to color the image. I used white liquid applique on the girl left it white and on the baby colored it YG67 and on the boy colored it BG78. I also used some diamond glaze and just sprinkled some sparkly snow over it.

I sure hope everyone has a wonderful NEW YEAR…  So super big hug to everyone and make it the best year ever. My God bless everyone! Thanks so much for stopping.

Patricia, this is utterly adorable! I love that image--it is darling, and your colored & accented it beautifully! Love that sparkle & texture! The sentiment is really cool--I have never seen it before. Love the design, papers & embellies you added, too! :^)
And, if it were me, I'd be thrilled with no snow--hey, that's why I've lived in the desert for 33 years! ;^)
Hugs, Penny

Happy New Year to you Patricia, last year was my first year crafting so this year I'm only going to buy what I need, Oh dear us crafters need everything so that could go horribly wrong :-)

As always Patricia it is a precious card. I always love your coloring and designs. You always inspire me. I am doing the same thing, no new craft supplies except adhesives etc. I could open a shop and have way too much. Have a great day.

Hi Patricia, I love this sweet card. In fact I've just caught up with your creativity and you never cease to amaze me with it. I have this same paper pack and have yet to use this particular background paper. It looks fantastic and I love the little mittens you've punched out inside!!
I am going to give you a call soon to catch up so I hope you are around. :)S
