You are my Sunshine

Good morning everyone! Hope you have lots of sunshine. The sun is shining beautiful today her in Wisconsin. We have another challenge for you over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and for this week the twist is show some love. Our sponsor for the month of February is Make it Crafty and the image I choose to use is call Aleisha.

 Cut out a 5” circle with black card stock, cut out in white card stock the Cherry Lyn designs Doily English tea party die then cut the image out with spellbinders exquisite circles.  Adding some Pearl pen color yellow.

  The lace is from Wild Orchid crafts. The pearls I have had. I sponged around the exquisite circle die cut with brilliance sunflower yellow ink. My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

The Orchid is from Cherry Lyn designs B280. I tried to add some color to the Orchid somewhat like my real ones I had in the yellows but it did not turn out quite the same.

For the inside used a EK success punch called Swiss cheese. Applied  some 1/2”  scor-tape behind the circles then applied some clear glitter so it would become sparkly. With the clear glitter it would pick up the color of the  paper behind it.

As the winds blow

 

 The start of a new month at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and we have a new sponsor for the month of February. The twist for this week is “ADD A SENTIMENT” to your card or project. I colored the background with brilliance inks colors sky blue, coral and yellow. The butterflies are from Martha Steward classic butterflies punch. Add some pink gems to the center.

You can see some Gellyroll pen (white). On Summer dreams hat I also added some Pearl pen color pink. 

For the flowers I used 6 petal EK Success punch, Birch leaf is from Punch Bunch. The center of the flowers is Pearl pen by Viva color Ice White. The ticket is from Digital Delight images and the sentiment is from The Angel Company. The Pearl pen on the right side are from Viva this color is ice white, it comes in all kinds of colors.

This is a side view. Trying to show you that everything is dimensional. There is a small story behind this piece of wood and I do have several pieces to work with and as anything else found it in my stash and found some other stuff. Hey!!! My son Kurt when he was around 17 years old (now he is in his 40’s) he worked at a place that made all kinds of things with different woods ANYWAY he would bring home some really interesting pieces of wood and this is one of the woods. It is about 3/4” thick. I left it the color it was did not stain it.

The paper I used is called X-Press it blending paper. I stamped all the images with Memento tuxedo black ink.
The die set is from Sizzix framelits Tim Holtz Alterations #660954.
The stamp set is called  Tim Holtz Collection Stamper Anonymous Bird Crazy CMS212.

These are the copic markers I used to color the images.

I want to show you how different the sides are on the wood. It is so amazing how the shape of the wood formed thought out the years. What it looks like to me is a slice off of a stump.

These birds are so much fun, I really can not wait to do some more things with them. I cut them out with the die cuts and I hope you can tell I cut their eyes, wings and beaks also and raise them up.

The clay words LOVE, JOY and FUN are some clay I played around with. I can not tell you how many years ago. I did use some distress ink color vintage photo to bring the letters out more. Added some diamond Glaze from Judi Kins.

Howdy partners! Welcome to my part of the country. It’s that time again for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and for this week it is my favorite one “ANYTHING GOES”. We always have anything goes the last week of the month and we would love for you all to join in.

 I have had this stamp set from Stampin up for years and I’m going to try and use some of these stamps I have not used in a long time. It is called Bronc Buster and to be honest I do not know if they still have it. All the stamps used are from that set.

I used some distress ink and some chalks (Pebbles) to color the background. The corners are from Stampin up punch called photo corner extra large.

Die Versions DV-548 Southwest desert die.

This is what I did to the inside. Still stamps from the stamp set.

In’spire Spellbinder Cowgirl Stomp die. I had hoped that you would see how pretty the dies are for the hat and boots. They have some fancy embossed flowers on them.

In’spire Spellbinder Cowgirl Style die. Maybe you can see the embossed flowers if you click on the pictures. This makes a nice masculine card also but I would not use girly boots and hat on the inside.

It's all about ME!

Sorry I so late posting my card. My son spilt a cup of coffee on my card yesterday before I had a chance to take my pictures, so you know what that means.. I had to do another card and it was in the early evening and had some other things I had to do. Life does get crazy like this, this is the first time for me never had coffee spilt on my card before. So the challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday has began and the twist for this is is all about Baby/Toddlers. The image I choose is called Uh oh.
