That just dills my pickle

That just dills my pickle 2013

Our Cards For Men challenge #11 has started and for this challenge it is all about good old DAD, can you believe it is almost that time of the year, that means we are half way though 2013, that is hard to think about… Where does this time go? I do have to say these images are just way too funny, the one I have is called BBQ Bill, that face is worth a thousand words.

The challenge this time is sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the prize is 2 digis of your choice.

Welcome to the brilliantly bizarre brain of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. Here you will find Monsters, Aliens,
Odd balls and Dundertons as well as many many more wonderful digital stamps. Our artist and founder cut
his teeth in the craft world at the company "Just Inklined", where his unique digis made a huge impression.
We're hoping to continue to entertain and amuse, with our growing catalogue of great value digis with
a sense of humour.

My sentiments are from TLC, they where free at one time they are called relish the fact and dill my pickle.  Thought this card was just perfect for them and also TLC had free the iced tea with lemon drink and the condiments 3 but this was a long time ago. For the sentiment used 1 1/4 and 1 1/2  scalloped punched from stampin up.

The paper used for this card is from DCWV stack called nana’s kitchen. Memory box die called savannah border. For this sentiment used decorative label punch from stampin up.

Dolled Up Daisy

Dolled up Daisy 2013

Welcome to Delightful Thursday at Digital Delight. All the designers have created some wonderful cards for you this week. My card I used the image called flower power dolled up daisy and my sentiment is from the keeping in touch sentiment set.

Dolled up Daisy 2013 r

My papers  are from The paper studio. The spellbinder is the basic Oval, colored around it with brilliance ink color sky blue. On the sentiment added some pearl pen color blue.

I used tonic punches called petal pairs to make the flowers and added large red pearls from want to scrap to the centers. Martha Steward frond punch for the leaves. The lace was in my scraps and added that behind the oval and on the side areas. The blue sparkles are not gems, I’m not sure what to call them, they are just plastic but pretty. My girlfriend got these from a online store and sold me some.

Left an area open to add a message or can stamp a sentiment. The tonic border punch is called floral #2.

Daisie 2013

It is time for Delightful Thursday at Digital Delight and I have another one of the NEW images for the month of May and she is called flower power basket of daisies and one of the sentiments from keeping in touch sentiment set.

Daisie 2013 r

It is time for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and as always it is anything goes with a twist and the twist for this week is to add some TEXTURE to your card.  The texture I add to my card is Styrofoam fluff (yellow) for the flowers, tool  and some mesh.

Daisie 2013 l

The spellbinder used to cut the image out is called exquisite circles.  The flourish on the left side is from  Marianne design LR0249. The flowers are from my stash. Martha Steward butterflies punch. Mega rock fern punch is from punch a bunch. Added stickles glitter glue cinnamon, yellow and diamond.

Daisie 2013 i

The paper used is from DWCV, café Mediterranean stack. Martha Steward butterfly border punch.

Daisie 2013 m

The copic markers used to color the image and for the sky I used C0, C1, B60, W1, BG0000, and BG000. One of my blogging friends made a video on how to color the sky and I would like to share that with you. Her name is Alyce and if you would like to thank her here is her blog. It does take practice for the clouds and I’m working on that.

Here is the close up of the image.

The card I made for this challenge is called a Surprise Pop Up Card and if you would like to try one here is the tutorial on how to make A Surprise Pop Up Card. Now there are two different Surprise Pop up cards so here is another one if this one is a little easier for you to try. They are both really awesome.

I tried to give you all the views of the card. I did not do the one that opens like a regular card, mine only slides.

Love you! 2013 r

The paper I used is from Bazzill basic huckle berry pie.

Love you! 2013 l

The slider moves real easy and the image stand up real nice.

Love you! 2013 full front

My heart border is from stampin up it is their pinking heart border. Stampin up scalloped 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 scalloped punch for the sentiment. My hearts and the sentiment is also from stampin up stamp set called sprinkled expressions. The ink was memento bahama blue. The other sentiment I do not know who made that one. Sorry!

Love you! 2013 b

This what it look like from the back.  The punch I used for the corners is from creative memories.

Love you! 2013 flat

I did have my image a little too big but that was ok, the next time I try the card I will make sure it will be the right size.

Love you! 2013 m

Birthday Wishes

Birthday Wishes 2013

The challenge at Cards for Men has started and for this challenge #10 it is all about fancy folds and my card has no special folds. All of the other ones did the fancy folds so you can stop by and see all their wonderful creations. No excuse.. for me! Other them my crazy sciatica nerve. I do have to say my dear friend Marie-Louise gave me the best advice she said to do stretching work out and I do have to thank her so much!!! It worked, I finally am pain free. Ladies if this ever happens to you and I hope not that is what you have to do and no matter how it hurts that is the only way you are going to get it to go away. It lasted for over 2 1/2 weeks and I had such a hard time sitting at my computer and even doing my cards. Thanks so much Marie-Louise, you really helped.
