Why do they call it Beauty?

 

Another card for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge with the twist “All Dress up”. Of course this this another Bugaboo image and the image I choose for this one is called Morning Troll. Sometimes I feel like this in the morning. The paper I used was from my scraps.

My granddaughter (Emma) stopped by and she asked me “How does the ocean greet the beach?” See below for answer.

Spellbinder to cut the image is called floral assortment. I sponged the edges with Brilliance ink color coral.

This is the sentiment that comes with the image.

I made a small string of sixe 11 beads of course in pink.

Here I add some of the nail art for some earrings.

Made some Pearl pen dots color pink. On the inside and outside. Some pink ribbon

Inside sentiment is from Ginger house. The shoe and purse punch are from Marvy Uchida. The punch used for the sentiment is decorative labels from Stampin up.

Just like my Mom

I have 2 cards for you today so I going to try and keep this short but with all the pictures. Spellbinder die is called decorative elements.

The blue plastic glitz on the sides. The paper used was from my scrapes.

In the center added some of the bling squares and added some size 11 beads to the floor so it looked like they feel.

Stampin up oval scalloped punch and this is the sentiment that comes with the image. Sponged around the edges with Brilliance ink sky blue. Added a heart gem.


The inside sentiment from Ginger House and a few red hearts. Stampin up oval punch.

These are the copic marker used to color the image.

Added glossy accents in different areas. Pearl pen ice white. I hope you like this card.

Have a couple thing to share

I do not know if I ever shared these with you but thought it would be a good time with fall coming and school here. It might be fun to add some pencils to your cards. posted this card last year or so. But did not share how to make the pencils.

How to make Tiny Pencils to add to your cards for an embellishment

Notice the little pencils on the card. I did a tutorial on how to make them.

These are the copic colors I used to color the tooth picks. YR15, R05, black and E39, You need round tooth picks, cut in half,  and a silver pen if you have one. I have a pencil here so you can see one.

I used a clipper to cut them in half.

Then colored the just the middle with YR15.

Carefully make the led by adding just a little black to the pointed tip of the tooth pick. Making sure you leave some tooth pick not colored between the led (black) and the YR15.

On the other end file it down a little so it is smooth and now add the R05 for the eraser end. If you want to add some silver ink between the R05 and YR15 as you can see the silver on the pencil. All done! Small embellishment to add to your card.

Life is like a Butterfly

Hello to all my wonderful followers, it is a steamy hot day in Southeastern  Wisconsin and that is unreal for this time of year, it’s in the 90’s. So good time to make card. It’s time for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and the twisted for this week is to add layers to your card/project. Our wonderful sponsor for the month of September is Bugaboo. Stop by and see all the designers cards they did a beautiful job. The Spellbinder used to cut out image is Lacy Square. I know it is hard to tell but I did add some Wind of Stella ink glitter, it sure is pretty when you look at the card. I used mostly clear a little green. On the corners put some orange ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Sponged the outer areas with Brilliance ink color sky blue.

The sentiment is from TLcreations. They have so many free sentiments. The paper used is from Heidi’s flower/strips décor flocked cardstock. This fancy font is a little hard to read it say “Life is like a Butterfly it goes where it please and pleases where it goes”.

Nothing fancy on the inside. Used a corner punch called flower decorations 3 D/5. Left the inside open for a sentiment or a written message.

Here is the close up of the image. Used a couple sequins and some glossy accents on her eyes and shoes.

My card is 6” by 6”.

The dies I used are Cherry Lynn designs Italian flourish doily DL103, Spellbinders Bird S2-156, Spellbinders D-Lites S2-005 flourish trim die.

Added some lace I got from Hobby Lobby in the sewing department.  The bling squares I got at Joann’s store. Some metal stars that I had and some Stickles star dust. My paper is from my scrapes.

This is where I add the flourish trim die cut and that is why I made the card 6”. The sentiment is from Endless Creations. I stamped it with Brilliance ink color crimson.

close up of the square bling and the lace. The Bird die cuts is so beautiful but I should of use a doily that was more solid in the background, this way the bird would of stood out more.
