Christmas in July at Bugaboo

 Bugaboo’s Fifth Annual Christmas in July week long Event has started today. You should check it out all kinds of prizes to be won and lots of fun things.  I choose to use the image Ava and Deacon Christmas- Ho Ho. Besides all of that going on for the entire month of July all of Bugaboo images are 50% off and that is a great deal.

If you stop by you can see the guide is for the entire week,  for Saturday, July 11 – A Theme Challenge - Jingle all the way. My paper was from my scraps. Used Spellbinder ornament die to cut out the image and Memory box die jingle bells for the theme of the challenge. The sentiment is from Digital Delight Christmas tags.

My Cat

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Today at The Outlawz’s Twisted Thursday challenge has started and for this week the twist is to use DIE CUTS. Our sponsor for the month of July is SamiStamps and my choice of image is Strawberry Nap. My paper is from Bacicgrey herb and honey strawberry/hrb-4496, two sided. I did add some stickles to one side of the paper colors Xmas red and Icicle. Used some diamond glaze on the strawberries. The die cuts used are Spellbinders fresh fruit border petites and lacey circles, two sizes.

I love that sentiment it really fits my cat perfect it is from Ginger house was a free sentiment. Add three red gems to each side of the sentiment. Used 1/8 inch yellow ribbon and weaved it in and out of the biggest lacey circle.

These are the copic markers used to color the image. I really need to work on coloring Kitties as you can see I did have some problems coloring this one.

The image I choose to use is called Ice Cream Beauty. My paper is from Graphic 45 from the by the sea collection and Die Cuts with a View Burlap paper stack. Added 3 gem hot pink flower to one corner.

The die cut used is from Spellbinder Nestabilities long classic scalloped rectangles large. Martha Steward butterflies punch and Stampin up’s Artisan label punch for the sentiment. The white back frame was something I had on my work area and I can not remember what punch that was.

The bike and sun glasses are from The Paper Studio’s. Used some Pearl pen color light blue. The sentiment is from TLC.

Sponged around with Brilliance ink sky blue and beige. The is how the inside turned out.

Added these gems to put a little sparkle on the inside.

I hope you are having a wonderful day? It is time for Scrapy Land challenge #21 and the theme for this week is anything goes all you need to do is use the dies cuts that Scrapy Land sells at the store. You have a chance to win a $15.00 gift card to buy something at the store.

Some of the stamps are from Stampscapes man and boy walking, geese, branch. Some of the other stamps are from Art Impression Wheat and Hut and chair.

Down a little I try and tell you how I made the background. These types of backgrounds are to me so easy to make but I have been doing them for years. I hope you understand what I’m trying to tell you. If not just ask.

Added some stickles crushed pineapple and star dust.

These are the die cuts I used on my card Impression Obsession Die184-L and Die198-C and the Sizzix thinlits #660220 and #660224.

Added some of the die cuts to the side.

I think it is kind of hard to read the writing so if you click on any of the pictures they will get big so you can read it better.

I really should of taken more pictures but it is the same over and over.

You can even add some white pen to add ripples in the water.

I normally punch out a half inch circle to use as the sun or moon. Once you remove the paper them start color it. If you color it before your paper does not want to stick. These colors I used in the Brilliance ink moonlight white, Mediterranean blue, ice blue, coral, beige, sky blue, orange and yellow. Now I do like using the distress inks also.

The image I used for this week is called “Cartoon Cowboy Twirling a Lariat”. The papers used are all from my scraps. How are you doing using up your scraps?
