SCACD Digi Day

I am so excited that SCACD now has a digital line of images.  There are some I had in rubber already that I can now resize, flip, etc. as well as a whole bunch of images not available in rubber.  Cute, whimsical, steampunk, holiday, images of all kinds.  There are new ones being added all the time so be certain you check them out. I cut it out with one of Spellbinders die cut called labels twenty seven.

Changing Seasons

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week end. Here in Southern Wisconsin we have some pretty dark cloud today and we are going (the weatherman says) to have rain and that’s fine because we need it. The Color Me Creative challenge #79. You can use any image and the challenge is “ANYTHING GOES” and and you can use any kind of medium. Our sponsor is BUGABOO and the image I used is called “Jar Autumn”.

Spellbinder beaded oval to cut the image out. For the corners used cherry lynn designs lace corners B172 Deco G.

The paper I used was from my scraps. I sponged around the beaded oval with brilliance ink color beige.

My flowers I did not make they where ones I had. I colored them with my copics. I used Martha Steward branch punch for the greens. I want to point out the center of the flower I colored, I added Suze Weinberg’s Beadazzles called Tango. Also check out my lady bug that I made out of pearl pen colors red and black. I’m going to do a tutorial on now to make them for you.

For the inside used Martha Steward laurel leaf border punch. Left it open for a written or stamped sentiment. These are the copic marker used to color the image.

For the jar I added Judi Kins glass micro clear beads. Shimmers to the background in soft blue and sparkle. Not sure if you can see that.

I do have to tell you that the weatherman was right, it is raining out. So this is a great day to be in the craft room. Fantastic NEWS…. I know I had told you that I was in Austin Texas it was not for fun, my sister-in-law had brain surgery. I want to tell you that when she took a shower she was able to FEEL THAT THE WATER WAS WARM. So time will tell but this is a huge step for her getting her feeling back in the button half of her body. She is my HERO!! Hello everyone. Like to share with you The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge for this week. The twist for this week is make a ACTION CARD, this is a card that moves. It can move up, down, side ways any way you want it too. I made a spinner card. I thought I would share with you this video on how to make a penny spinner card.

I created the background with distress ink and several sponges. I did use a template for the sky.

My images is from Charmed design and he is called Tumbled Time and the Sea Grasses are from Great impression.

Outlawz Challenges

I’m sorry I have missed a couple of posting for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge. Had the cards done but did not get a chance to post them to my blog. The twist for this week is a Masculine card. Sorry I have lost my notes for my cards so I will try and remember what I can.

Spellbinders scalloped circle. Pearl pen color cream. Stampin up paper, ribbon and punch for the sentiment.

I sponged the colors on the background.

For this card the challenge the twist was Birthday and I love this little guy, he is so adorable and fun image. This is one of Nice crane vintage cute kids.
