Fishing

Fishing 2012
It is time again for the challenge at The Outlawz at Twisted Thursday and for this week the challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH THE TWIST OF SPORTS.  The challenge ends on May 30th so we would love to see what you can come up with. The stamp I used is from Northwood's stamps , the fishing pole is from Lasting impression and the birds are from Stampscapes. I did mask my image I used Eclipse sticky adhesive. Stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo black. I distressed the edges and I used 4 of each color on the corners and 2 blue ones of brads. I have found I never use brads anymore so I’m trying to use then more as I have so many. Created the background with distress inks and  sponge's, the colors I use are mustard seed, wild honey, scattered straw, bundled sage, forest moss, stormy sky's, tumbled glass and chipped sapphire.
Fishing markers These are the copic markers that was used to color the image. Tried some twinkling H2o’s iridescent blue to give the fish a fishy look not sure if it even helped. Added some white liquid applique and heated it a little so it would bubble up some to give the look of some waves. Used some diamond glaze from Jude kins to give a shinny look on the water and the fish.
Fishing side 2012 You can see the fish a little better now with the close up but I’m not sure if I like it or not and I tipped with a little white on the branches to give them a little highlight.

I hope you can join us at Twisted Thursday if you can’t stop by and see the DT’s cards, the girls all did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Memorial Day week end everyone.

Congratulations! 2012
Hello to all my wonderful followers! We had a fantastic week end here in Wisconsin beautiful sun shine and nice warm to a little too warm for me but the garden is all planted but still have some flowers I want to change and add. I put my Hummingbird feeder out yesterday and had some little visitor come by, I was so excited. I feed my birds all year around, I love seeing them come around. I wish I could keep the black bird away but I guess they have to eat also. Can you believe May is almost over. I sure hope things start slowing down.

Rainy Day right 2012

I had some problems putting my watermark on my first card as you can see but I did figure it out. I’m still having some problem trying to get everything to work right. I uploaded a image and I still can not find where it went. I had Window XP and now I have Windows 7 and so far I’m not to happy with Window 7. It takes me forever to do anything. Sorry you did not want to read this. But I know you will understand.
Rainy Day markers

These are the copic markers I used to color my image. This is a pretty simple card. Add Diamond Glaze to give a wet look. The clip I added to the card is called Classic Clips I have had them for a long time. I have 4 different one’s 2 in gold and 2 in silver each has a different look. I do not know if you can even order them. Added glitter dots and a strip that had sticky on the back over the ribbon. Here is the close up of the image.
Rainy Day close up

Nature

Nature 2012
So happy to be back. My computer died on me so that is why I have been so quiet. Now it is all fixed and ready to go again. So we have over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge is  ANYTHING GOES WITH BINGO here is the chart and I hope you have fun with it. On my card I did distress inks, brads and sentiment. Challenge ends May 16, 2012.
Bingo Game
Nature 2012 left

I used crygoen white paper and I love the way it sparkles so after I was all done I did add just a little more glitter spray and I love how that turned out. Start with a card front that is bigger then you want so after you can trim off the edges. I used all distressed inks and I sponged the background first. I colored a little of the sun area with mustard seed and after a few minutes (so it can dye) I punched out 1.75 inch round circle out of Eclipes delicately sticky adhesive paper (great for masking) and placed it on the inked mustard seed ink as I did not want that area to get anymore different colors. As I’m adding the colors I always work from off the paper, I added some mustard seed out of the circle now wild honey, tumbled glass, bundled sage and old paper. These colors I used mostly for the edges chipped sapphired and forest moss remember to blend color as you are adding them.
 Nature 2012 close up
The stamp set I used is called Inspired by Nature from Stampin up. What I used for coloring the stamps is Marvy Brush Markers, if you have not used them these have a large brush you ink your stamps with the markers and I just sprits a little water on them so they do not dry and apply the stamp to the paper. The colors I used are rosewood, ochre, brown, pine green and butter yellow.
I hope you understand this if you have any questions PLEASE ask. We would love to see your card at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and stop by and see what the other DT members have done their cards are wonderful.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I have missed everyone. Sorry if I have not stopped by your blog. I’m sure I will be their soon.

Were doing a hop, were doing a Birthday Hop!!!

Suzanne picture

The Color Me Creative Design Team has a secret!!!  Today we are hopping along to wish our fearless leader, Suzanne Dean, a VERY happy birthday!!!  Suzanne is the owner/creator of the Color Me Creative site and, as many of you know, teaches her Copic classes online and on the road!  She is one busy momma and we thought we'd take time to wish her a happy day and hope she gets to sit with her Cherry Coke and donuts (ya, a fav combination of hers!) and relax a bit today and enjoy the hop!
Each of us decided it would be fun to remember Suzanne today in "typical Suzanne" style!  Our creations will either help remember a "funny travel moment" with Suzanne or... share a secret about Suzanne.  Ha!!!  Bet she didn't see this coming!!! LOL
Here is what I created today....

I hope you are having a great time in Vegas. I went with the theme BOOKS, I know how much you love to read so I used Tiddly Inks images “school girl”, “boy old book” and “book”. I know Red is favorite color and you also like yellow. Beside reading you are also a teacher, you love the beach (South Carolina), love Zebra's, airplanes you a traveler, you love your family with all your heart, fantastic mother and wife, you have lots of true friends, you love to dance and you really love to dance at your Copic classes, right???

I love to read 2012

So to follow the theme I added some more books.

I love to read inside 2012
I like to tell some people a little something more about you. Suzanne is in love with Luke Bryan. Suzanne’s own words are..Love's her Luke-y....sigh....drool....lol.. So I added this for your enjoyment. Happy Birthday .

Now if you would like to see what the other girls have created for Suzanne you can stop on over.
