I’m feeling a little witchy tonight..

feeling a little witchie right side

Who ever thought I would being doing a Halloween card this early! Not me!!!! This is one of Squigglefly’s NEW images, that was released this week. It is called “Witches Moon” if you should look for the image. It is one the Cherly Alger one Squigglefly artists designed. If you would like to read some about Cheryl you can go over to the store and click on Artists and read all about her. She is a very talented lady. Then while you are there you can see more of the NEW images the have been released this week.feeling a little witchie markers

These are the copic markers I used to color the witch. I also used Tim Holtz Distress inks, mustard seed, stormy sky, tumbled glass, and broken china for the background for the witch. Signo Uni-ball White ink. Star beads. Rime stone half moon. Some Suze Weinberg’s Pure Glitz Sequins,  gold, purple, silver, black, and white. I used a friends Spellbinder for part of the background and I can not remember what it was called (sorry!). I punched out some ghosts with a punch I have had forever. Are they not cute or what? I do not know if you can still get the punch. ^..^ sorry said the kitty cat!!! The saying not sure but I think it is a Hero Arts stamp.feeling a little witchie side

Oh! I almost forgot… Did you notice her broom? I had one of those little brooms and I thought it fit perfect behind her butt… The paper I used is from The Angel Company. Were I stamped Happy Halloween I did distress the sides so it would not look like a new sign, I wanted it to look old. So this is my first Halloween card for the year. ^..^ You better watch out there might be another one coming soon or maybe not you will just have to wait and see.

“If God had wanted us to touch our toes, he would have put them on our knees”.

Happy creating everyone!!!

We are doing it again at Donna’s Den?

You may ask what may that be? I bet you know  the answer! This Challenge we are doing is “Something Sweet”, I know I’m sure you could go for something like that right now. Couldn't you? One of my grand daughters favorite things is cupcakes but do not let her fool you it really is the frosting.  I did look to find one with frosting all over her mouth but I could not fine one but tomorrow we are celebrating her cousins  Isaiah birthday and I’m sure she will have frosting all over herself. She is my cupcake girl.

Emma age 4

She is my little artist. She wants to grow up and color just like grandma. So she can make cards for Donna’s Den of Crafts. http://www.donnasdenofcrafts.co.uk Remember Donna is always getting NEW things in the store so it would be nice to stop by some time and check out what is new,

something special

I do not think there is a  name for the kind of card I made. I have never seen a tutorial for making it. Standard size card 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” . So you would cut your card stock 8 1/2”  by 5 1/2”, Next you would score in on each side 4 1/8” and fold to the center. They should somewhat meet. To cut the front, I folded my card backwards and slipped a small cutting matt in between the card stock and measured up and down 1 1/2” and from the sides I measured 1 inch in and then drew a triangle and cut that out.something special a little open

This is how it looks when you start to open it up. Now on the front for the sides you will need to cut two pieces of scrapbook paper 2” by 5 1/4”. To get the right dimensions for your triangle, I took my card and measured the triangle and added 1/2” on to that and cut the middle out. I stamped Happy Birthday all around, I used a Stampendous Stamp. Now remember when you put your scrapbook paper on cut out where your triangle will be. (If you would want the hole in the front of the card to be a little bigger just change the measurements).something special half open

Because of the dark background I put a liner in the back and stamped a cupcake, trying to center it so it will show through the window when the card is closed. Stamped make a wish, these are from Hero arts.Something Special open

This is what the card look like when it is all open. You can do more it you want, it is all up to you. I would love to see what you do……  We need to get back to Donna’s Den of Crafts.  Here is the prize you can win, it is a sheet of rubber stamps.

The Challenge starts August 9 and ends August 22, 2010. So you have time to make “SOMETHING SWEET” is the Theme. Upload your card to Donna’s Den of Crafts Blog. I want to thank all of the girls that have been doing all of the challenge. We sure have some wonderful cards and very talented girls that do the challenge all the time.

As always if you have any problems trying to make my card please let me know and I will try and help you. I know sometime my instructions are not real clear but I do try.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Be safe.

Cherish yesterday, dream tomorrow, live like crazy today!

Cards we made at The Diva's Stamp Club

Here is Lee's Creation. What is so nice is how everyone's card is so different. I just love that.
This is one of the really strange way to introduce some of my friends cards. At club we had several girls that did not make it this month. So if you are just starting to read this you might want to start at the button of the page. You will understand as you read.

Same here is Created by Kathy P. and we all put the card together and made it our card.

The upper card was created by Kathy K. I have to tell you what a great idea she did she ran out of ribbon so she put the ribbon she had left on her printer and copied it and what looks like ribbon on my card is the paper she copied it on. I think the copied ribbon looked better than the ribbon and was so much easier to work with.
Now the card above was created by Jodi. I colored it and lkayed it out the way I wanted it to be.
The lavender card here was created by Chris. I colored it and layed it out the way I wanted it but Chris created the idea for the card.

Also as I'm adding the cards it looks like I'm doing this backwords, sorry about that. As I load a picture it put it on top not under, so I guess I will be doing it that way for now. Boy, my life has turned upside down.

I really have now Idea how these is going to turn out. I upload on Windows Live Writer and imports everything to my blog after I have everything entered.

At the stamp club we all create a card and bring everything so the other girls can make the card also. We do not color then, we just give idea on how we would do the card and bring the stamps and we do the cards as we would do them. We spend pretty much the hold day together. We all bring something to eat and we eat good. Then we do some things that we have not done before or some of the girls have not done. We have a lot of fun and it is good to get together with friends.

These are the cards I made but I could not decide if I like brown pearls or the white pearls in the middle of the butterflys so I made two and let then decide what they liked. I did not think to take pictures of how the other girls cards turned out.

ARE WE HAVING FUN YET??? I HAVE TO TRY AND LAUGH BECAUSE IT I DO NOT I'M GOING TO GO CRAZY.
The way this turned out is why I like using Windows Live writer. I do not have any of these problems.
Hugs, Patricia ♥ ♥

My guys all they ever want is CARS, What about yours?

Cars

Mostly fast and small. So I thought I would make a card with a car on it. We are now into Challenge #3 at Donna's Den of Crafts challenge blog. The theme of the challenge is "It is a Man's World". It starts July 12 and ends July 25. So it gives you lots of time to come up with an idea and post it on Donna's Den of Crafts challenge Blog. Have you had a chance to stop by Donna's Den of Crafts store lately she has gotten some new things in the store. At some pretty good prices like she got in some Hampton Art fresh flocking in 6 different colors and what I think is cool is you get 4 shades of the colors in each package. The colors are pinks, browns, grays, oranges, greens, and turquoises.

Cars front

You have a chance to win not one but two stamp sets from Jayne Netley Mayhew. Here's a picture of the two stamp sets to show you. That is something I would like to win. You can check these sets out and see what other one she has by just stopping at Donna's Den of Crafts.

As you can see I did several layers of regular card stock black and white. I cut then down about 1/4 inch down each time. The set of stamps I used is from The Angel Company. The ink I used was VersaFine Onyx black. I added a black ribbon with a white line, I thought it symbol a road across the front and put 2 white metal dots on each side. I hope you enjoyed my card. It is still HOT here. I do hope everyone had a wonderful week end. I had one of my stamp clubs on Sunday and I hope to share with you some of the wonderful cards we made.

I have for you a "Cutie Pie" and the Chef's Pie". Soon to be released..

Cutie Pie

Is this just not the cutest image? It is one of the NEW ones coming out at Suqigglefly on July 10. The image is called "Tweet Elephant" created by Revi Paat Devi. It is such a delightful image you could use it for any kind children's card. I did paper piecing with it. I love the paper I used. It has round fuzzy circles on it and is shinny. I layered the card stock. Sponged around the edges with Brilliance ink color Coral. The stamps I used are from The Angel Company and I stamped then with the Coral ink as well. I love the wiggly eyes on both the Elephant and the Bird. Ribbon going across with 3 metal dots.Cutie pie front

Here is a closer look so you can read the little saying. I hope you can see the little fuzzy circles.

Now for The Chef's Pie

Chief pie

This is another NEWBIE coming out July 10 at Squigglefly. This image is called "Pie Chef" created by Cheryl Alger. It was so much fun to work with. Her little girls are so wonderful in all the craziness she has then getting into. The paper I used is from DCWV it is the Sweet Stack.Chief pie copic

These are The Copic marker I used to color the image. Used Brilliance ink Lime to color around the inside edge of the image. I used the Spellbinder Frameabilities Scalloped Edge Frame to to cut the image out. Used a corner rounder on all the corner. Added some pearls and some ribbon and made several bows and put then together so they would be a little fuller.Chief pie copic front

Here is the close up of the image so you can see how I colored her. I sure can't wait to see all the rest of the NEW images that are coming out on July 10. So if you want to see then stop on by so you will not miss anything. I can't believe this week is almost over and the week end is right around the corner. It has been real HOT here in Wisconsin. The weather man tells us it is going to cool down some but I do not know if I believe him. I'll be back on here on the week end so try and stay cool. We do have an AC and I hope you do also.

Hugs, Patricia, ♥ ♥

A little birdie told me......

A little Birdie told me...

Here is my card for Donna's Den of Crafts challenge. It is a sketch challenge. The challenge starts June 28 tell July 11, 2010. The prize this time will be a £10 gift voucher for Donna's Den of Crafts. I sketch is really easy. If you would like to stop by Donna's Den of Crafts and see what she has in her store you can click here. Now if you would like to join us in the sketch challenge you can click here.

A little bird copic markers

I'm sorry the picture did not turn out real good but these are the copic markers I used to color my stamp, the stamp is from Stamp Happen is called Robin by Carolyn Shores Wright. They have some wonderful stamps. The ink I used to stamp the image was Memento tuxedo black. The word stamp Happy Birthday is from Hero Arts. Stamp A little birdie told me is from CrackerBox Palace. Flower stamp is from CC rubber stamps.

A little birdie told me right

Trying to give you a side view so you can see the flowers. I'm going to try and tell you a little about how I made the flowers. I have a much closer view and they are really easy to make. Used Spellbinders Label 5 to cute out the image. Martha Steward punch called Doily lace trim, cut out two strips to put in the back of the bird. For the words stamped then with Brilliance Coffee Bean ink. For around the flowers and my images I sponged around with Brilliance orange ink. My paper was Die cuts with a view glitter paper was used for the leaves. Used Sizzlits from stampin up little leaves die cut. The bards I added some glossy accents and sprinkled some glitter called popsicle transparent ultra fine from Stamping Jazzy Style.

A little birdie told me saying

I really think the flowers turned out nice.

A little birdie tpld me flowers

I'm going to try and show you how I did then.1 cc stamps

These stamp are from CC rubber stamps and she has a lot more different styles of flowers. This is her Web site if you want to see what she all has http://www.ccrubberstamps.com/ and her phone number is 1-866-659-2354 if you want to call her and her name is Carol.2

This is what I used. They do not make Family Treasures any more. She makes a lot of stamps that match up with punches. I found the best place to fine some of the real old punches you can not fine anymore is called Punch Bunch's and this is there email address so I hope you will be able fine any punch you are looking for. http://www.franticstamper.com/punch_bunch.htm3

Stamped each of the stamps I have so you can see how they stamp.4

I'm sorry my name is on the bottom but I put my name on everything because I take things to friends. The punch matches up to the flower and all you have to do is punch it out. I punched then all out.6

I use The Tool, you can get it at CrackerBox Palace, it is for shaping and it brakes down the fibers in the paper.8

I take the other end of my shaping tool and I press in the middle and it pops the flower up.

9 10

Once the shaping tool brakes down the fibers it makes the paper shiny. I have shaped all of then. The next step is if you want to put something in the middle.14

You can use glitter, stickles, beedz (glass embellishment), It is all up to you. So I hope you enjoyed this and you understand. As always if you did not let me know and I will get back to you with any questions you may have. Have a wonderful week.

Jugging along Tag

Look at me.

A Tag for Karen's Doodles. I have not made a tag in a long time and I thought it would be fun to make one again. This is one of Karen's Doodles images called "jugging", he is so cute. It was a free one. I colored it with copic markers, used some diamond glaze from Judi-kins, added some stickers and fibers and I was all done. Sponged some blue around the edges to give it some color.
