Welcome everyone, I want to share a card with you that I made for I Brake For Stamps. It is a beautiful day here in Wisconsin sun is shining and the temps are in the 40’s. Although I love all the seasons and my card make me want to go by the ocean. Over at the store you can fine all kinds of stunning scenery stamps. This stamp is called Cape Hatteras North Carolina (large), this stamp is a picture of that light house. These are some of my favorite kinds of cards to do.
The first thing I did was stamp my image on Eclipse printable paper, this paper has a sticky adhesive and it makes it easy to mask you image and you can use the paper more then once. Then I cut the image out. After that I used several inks to color the stamp.
Doing the background I used my sponges and a template. The inks used are Brilliance Mediterranean blue, ice blue, sky blue, orange, coral, yellow and beige. Some opaque white and clear glaze from Sakura. I added the corner, thought it would give a framed look.
The different inks I used to create this scene. The makers you see on the right side are Mementos markers colors bamboo leaves, rich cocoa, cottage ivy, desert sand and lady bug. I applied those inks right to the stamp. Stamped the image on my card stock and after a couple minutes applied the Eclipse paper over the image.
Sentiment is from IBFS it is called footprints in the sand, thought it was perfect for this stamp. I cut the sentiment out with spellbinders deckled rectangles large. Used Versafine majestic blue to stamp the sentiment. I sponged around the edges with Brilliance Mediterranean blue ink, the die cut is from Memory box called lavish branch. Flower centers is pearl pen color black and the dots is pearl pen color blue. Left area open for a written message.
