Here is my card for For Fun Challenge Blog this week and the theme is Christmas. Our Sponsor is Rich St Dennis. The challenge started today and ends on March 29th at 11:59pm. Remember you need to add your card to the For Fun Challenge Blog.

We have a fantastic sponsor this week, Rick St Dennis.... Here is just a little about Rick St. Dennis MFA

He has taught design at the college level as well as seminars and classes across the USA and Canada. He is one of a handful of designers to have designed TWO productions of AIDA, Verdi's massive Egyptian opera spectacle. Currently living in the quiet beach community of Seal Beach, California he writes restaurant reviews and theatre reviews between assignments for web designs, logos and creating art for local shows. Rick has appeared on such TV shows as Home Matters with Susan Powell, Aileen's Crafts and others. He was Crafts editor for Country Folk Art Magazine and sells his artwork nationally through galleries and shows. Among numerous awards he won a presidential commendation in 1976 for his contributions to the bicentennial year including the design of the west coast premier of William Grant Still's opera BAYOU LEGEND. His drawings and paintings are in the collections of Diana Ross, Sandy Duncan, Sammy Davis Jr. and Jacqueline Onnasis amongst others.

Wow... what credentials!  Rick is providing a very generous prize for our challenge winner this week! The prize includes the three images our DT has created magic with, as well as at least three more gorgeous images!  Do go visit his blog here, and his Etsy shop here...

My image is called “Dancing Elf” and it you stop by his shop you can see all of his images. I wanted to make him really festive because he is an entertainer, enjoying himself. He needs all kinds of fancy things so I put earring rime stone (yellow) in his ears red ones on his jacket for the berry. Also I wanted to try and color him in rich colors like reds, greens, purple and gold's. He want to fleshy and sparkle. I used the Gelly Roll Pens Line Star, Red Star, Grape Star, and Gold Star. I punched out on the button with the Fiskers border punch “Snowflakes” and added some gold stickles to where the snowflakes came out. Used Spellbinder Labels Ten 2 of the sizes and layered then. Sponged around the inside oval with Brilliance Mineral ink, the gold color one.

This is Spellbinders Fancy tags and the other little swirl you see is from Doodle Parts.  I used and stamped happy holidays (sorry do not know where I got the stamp from) as you can see I put some red and gold dots on the cards also. The paper I used was all Pearlized Card Stock from Paper Studio.

I used a Christmas gold ribbon I had here and also some gold snowflakes from Trim a Tree section at Hobby Lobby at Christmas.

Here is the close up of my image. Almost forgot I added stars in gold color to his skirt, they are from Stampendous. I want to tell you what copics I used YR24,Y11,Y15,Y00 and that was to get the gold color. E11,E00 for skin. E13,E19 for hair. R39,R37,R35,R32,R20 for the red. V20,V25,V17 for the jacket and the green G21,G24,G28,G29.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY. I hope you enjoyed my card. I know it is wrong time of year and everyone wants to think of spring but you will have a Christmas done for next year.

Many Hugs, Patricia
