Hello Friend

Hello all my wonderful friends and welcome to Scrapy Land challenge #16 and this challenge is all about “adding pearls and/or lace to your card using Scrapy Land die cuts”. The bi-monthly challenge is just starting and will end on May 5th. We cannot wait to see all your stunning projects. The winner get a $15.00 gift certificate from Scrapy Land.

These are the brands of die cuts the Scrapy land has in their store.

Other then cutting out the dies, I stamped the base of the card inside and out randomly with Brilliance ink color beige using a stamp from stampendous called flourishes. I used a cream color card stock.

Using the brilliance ink I sponged around almost everything.

Here is a close up of the southern charm valance, I add some lace with some pearls over the top layer.

Here is a close up of the fancy bloom and the leaves. I added the large pearls that I had. You will also see some smaller ones that I also had.

Tried to take a picture of some of the tiny butterfly's.

I think the Hello Friend work out just fine. I hope you can see the background with the flourishes that are stamped.

I finished off the inside pretty much with the same products adding a little different lace I had. I just love this fancy bow I think it is so cute.

The die cuts used for my card are Memory Box Fancy Bloom and Butterfly delights.

Cherry Lynn designs southern charm valance (B454), Impression Obsession dies bow (DIE063-I), Leaves (DIE066-C). Spellbinders in’spire IN-037 words, Spellbinders Floral Oval die.

It is time for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and the twisted for this week is to “add punches to your card”.

The punches UI used to make my card are Stampin up’s Owl, the branch from Stampin up’s bird, circle 3/4 inch punch, circle 1 inch punch and another circle 1 3/4 inch. Embossing folder called Argyle from Cuttlebug.

I glued the circles on the white card stock and them added my embossing folded and run it though the cuttlebug machine. That embossed all the circles with the white card stock. My sentiments are from The Angel Company from the set “It’s the little things”. Had some left over orange ribbon on my desk so added that to the card.

For the inside just made another Owl. Wanted to use up the hearts that punch out with the Owl so added them to the button with several of the circles.

It is a fun and easy card to make.

Martha Steward butterfly around the corner for my strip and I cut off about 1 inch. I wanted to use a strong spellbinders die the one I picked is lattice rectangles. Paper is from The Paper Studio stack called Country Road. My sentiment is from The Angel Company.

The inside, really did not do much. Under here is what the button of the front look like. I wanted you to see how it looked.

Added a couple flowers and a bow.

These are the copic I used to color my image. I colored the background with copic but I also used Pebbles chalks. Just incase you do not know I wanted to talk about using chalks with copics. One thing you should always remember if you are going to color with copic markers and use chalks also, USED copic first and add you chalks after you are done with the copics. What would happen with your copic markers the chalkes could rune your tips by gumming them with the chalk residue. That would work pretty much the same if you use color pencils. use you copic first then use your pencils. I added the grass with the prisma color pencils over the chalk. I did not want to use my copics on the chalks. If you have any questions let me know and I hope you understand this.
I also used Wink a Stella clear, black and brown. Sky star gelly roll pen.

Fiesta

Welcome to Scrapy Land challenge #15 and for this bi-weekly challenge the theme is “ANYTHING”. The paper used is from DCWV Fiesta forever stack, I love the papers that are in that stack. Some orange ribbon. If you join us you have a chance to win a $1500 gift certificate from Scrapy Land but remember you need to use die that are sold at Scrapy Land store.

Different side views.

I used Vellum. I had the color yellow Vellum but I had to color one sheet with distress ink color ripe persimmon that worked out really well. I added some white with the gelly roll white pen to the flowers and used some yellow buttons for the center.

The butterfly cut out with orange paper and uses stickles tropical tangerine glitter.

On the background I added some Wink a Stella clear to give some sparkle.

This is a sentiment that came in the stack of paper. Added some sparkle dots on the inside and some orange ribbon.

This is spellbinder NEW blooms one. Used this die to make the flowers.

To Dance

Hello all you wonderful people, sorry I late posting my card for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and I do not want to even tell you why. I have been finally feeling very good totally getting over that flu I got in February and thought I would never get rid of it. Last Saturday my grandson Aiden had a concert and it was fantastic, the entire orchestra played tribute to the Sound of Music and it was beautiful. That evening when I went home and to bed I woke up that night so sick and this was a different type of flu. Could hold nothing down, every bone in my body ached, I thought my head was going to blow off. Needless to say all I could do was sleep. I felt so bad I could not even comment on the member that entered their cards in our challenge. So the design team really stepped in for me and help me out and I want to THANK THEM SO MUCH. I do not know what I would of done. Now it has been almost a week now and I’m finally feeling better. I think I want to lock the doors and stay away from everyone.

Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 7

We are giving away a spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 7 to the winner for the month of March.

Our twist for this week is “ANYTHING GOES”, we would love to have you join us. As everyone knows I love silhouettes and when I seen the set at Stitchy Bear, I do have to say they have the beautiful sets of silhouette. This one is called “The Rehearsal”.

The spellbinders elegant ovals and cut 2 different sizes. My edges used We R Memories doily border punch. Added some black ribbon I have in my stash. The tow sentiment are from TLC creations.

Pumpkins For SALE

It is time for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge for this week and the twist is to make a card/project “Your favorite something…. and to tell us what it is” So I will do that now my favorite something is to make scenes. I made this card sometime ago and it was published at Though The Craft Room Door Magazine so I could not put the card on my blog for awhile and it only showed the front of the card. Now I can show you all of my card. The image is from Sandi digital stamp called “pumpkins 4 sale” and I did use some stamps that are from stampendous they are the branch and grease, to finish off the scene. I stamped them with memento rich cocoa. The sentiment is from The Angel Company Co.

I did a watercolor wash for the background and I was real happy how that turned out.

This another side view. I used some brilliance Mediterranean blue on the edges of the finished card and then I cut it down a little. All of my card stock was from my scraps.

For the inside, the haystack is a sticker and the pumpkins are a punch from Fiskars. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

The scarecrow is another sticker. I had some straw and cut some up and added it to the feet. Also found some pine cones in my stash and added 3.

Had some acorns and added 3 to the other side. These are the copic markers I used to color the image.

Bunny

Time for Scrapy Land challenge #14 and for this bi-monthly challenge it is about Easter or Spring.So check out Scrapy lands dies and make a card/project with them.  I only used 2 die cuts and one punch to make my bunny.

Here is a closer look at his head. I do have a picture of what dies I used for his head, ears and so forth. Helps you no where to his eyes, nose, cheeks and month.

Closer look at his feet. The first thing I did was add the Easter candy to the inside of of the plastic bag and then tie a bow around the neck.

I did not use the stampin’up dies that she used but her is where I found the video on how to make this little guy. It is at Spolitcoast stamper so if you go here this might help you a little in make this darling Bunny.
