Cold Winter

Cold Winter 2014
Burrrrr, that sounds like a cold title. But it is time for Scrapy Land challenge#7 and the challenge this time is ANYTHING GOES, using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells so stop by and check out all the brands Srapy Land sales. The challenge started today and it ends December 17th. If you want stop by and see all the wonderful cards and projects the designers have created over at the blog. The first thing I did was create by background. I used Brilliance inks pads these are the colors yellow, orchid, beige, orange, 0live, ivy, sky blue, mediterranean blue.

Once I have my colors together I pounced out a 1 inch circle Eclipse paper (it is for masking) and place my sun/moon about where I wanted it to be. Them I always start with my real dark colors for the visional line you would see in the far background, I use a straight piece of paper, using the brilliance ink mediterranean blue for the far sky line and the ivy for the the ground line. You can also make your own sky  templates, just take a piece of paper and tier it across kind of up and down. Using your template you can create all kinds of different shapes in the shy. You do need to remember to take your Eclipse paper off and what I get is a big white spot so I try using some yellow, orange, sky blue to fill that in.

Once I had added enough color to the shy, I picked out a couple of stamps, using them for the edges and I wanted to add some birds. Some times I add some white to the leaves that’s kind of nice because it give the leaves some detail. My stamps are from Stampsscapes, I love Stampscapes stamps they have some amazing ones that can help you create all kinds od scenes. So I want to us these die cuts Impression Obsession die079-U that is the Trees and Impression Obsession die0810-N deer. So if you would like to check at the store you can go here.

I cut the trees out and I added some C01 to the open area on the birch trees and them I added some stickles star dust for some sparkle. No real reason why I cut the deer out in white, I guess I just wanted to. Added Aleene’s true snow on the ground area and some diamond dust from Twinklet’s. As you can see I did not do much with the inside. Just sponged around some of the edges.

I hope you have had a nice day. Here is Wisconsin today it was nice sunny day and we have no snow but I sure we will have some for Christmas. How you doing with you shopping? Did you go out on Black Friday? I stayed home with the grandkids and we made cookies. Found out yesterday Isaiah (grandson) will be coming home for Christmas this year, can you believe he is a junior in high school this year and I just found out that he has just got his 2 degree in black belt, I so proud of him. No girlfriends yet, I tell him keep it that way but he has been asked to some dance they have coming up that the girls ask the guys. Well have a nice evening. Take care and be safe. Oh I wanted to say if you have any questions let me know. I will do a tutorial on the Tent card for you several of you have asked.
