Birds and Blooms

It is time for Scrapy Land challenge #23 and for this time it is ANYTHING GOES. All you need to do is use dies that Scrapy Land sells at their store.  I used Heartfelt creations stamps.  First I stamped the vintage floret frame on cream cardstock and the leafy branch on green cardstock with Memento Pear Tart. The Birds with Brilliance sky blue on cream cardstock and the flowers with brilliance lavender on cream cardstock. Colored the stamped images with pearlsents chalks by Pebbles.  These are the stamp sets from Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Frame cling stamp set, Heartfelt Creations leafy branch cling stamp set, Birds and Bloom cling stamp set  Placed the dies from Heartfelt Creations over the stamped images and cut everything out and shaped the flowers, leafs and the birds. The paper is from Heartfelt Creations The Birds and Bloom paper collection. I also hope you can see I used Heartfelt Creations clear cardstock. The glue used was from Art glitter Adhesive because it dries so clear you can not see it.

Did not want to write in the inside of the card so what I did was on the back of the card created an area for a sentiment or a message you could write.

Gelli Art

I have been having a lot of fun with something called Gelli Art, maybe you have already heard about it but maybe you have not. I wanted to share with you some of the thing you can do with this Geiil plate.


These are the things I used to create my art papers. Any kind of Acrylic paint and  baby whips and hand sanitizers for cleaning the plate after you are done playing with it. Any kind of templates that give you the design you want or you can us things from around the house that make different designs in the paint.
  
Brayer to apply the paint to the Gelli plate.

This is what the Gelli plate looks like.

You apply your cardstock to the plate. It sticks nicely. I would say you do not need to use any special kind of paper. I used the cardstock you get at Sam’s Club.
 
Just squeeze the paint on to the plate and take the brayer and spread it around.
 
Take a close look (click on the picture and it will get big). I added a plastic plate to the top.

Here I added another color and I used some toilet roll and made some circles on the plate. At this point you would add your cardstock and pull it off.  You need to let the ink dry and that depends on how much paint you added to the plate. These are a couple more designs I made and colors.

This one I added some sparkle paint to the cardstock. It is totally up to you what you add to the paint or what you add to the design.

These sheets I added some drops of Acrylic paint and did not spread the paint around much. I found that you could add more cardstock to the Gelli plate that still had paint on it and just add a little different colors as you can see on the upper right side sheet. You can really go crazy with the colors, I was having so much fun.

I started to make some flowers with one of the sheets of paper. These are some more colors I put together. I was going to try adding some colors with sponging colors around in the white areas that would match the sheets.

I made these little spiders, thought would be fun for a Halloween card by using some of my circle punches. Used the scalloped punch to be able to add the legs out from the body, you can see I mastered it a little better as I got to the last one, went up about 1/4 inch and down about 1/2 inch and added a dot on the end. Tried some different mouths, eyes and noses on each of them.

I used all scraps on my card for the background I used brilliance inks lime and ivy colors and sponged around the color and stamped some lines in white and for the background with the image used some chalk light lime and some Wink of Stella inks colors glitter light green and glitter green.

The Spellbinder used to cut out the image was deckled rectangles large.

The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo. The balloons die is from CC Designs. Need some sparkles used some stickles yellow.

My ribbon was one I got from Joanne’s and added a fancy brad to the front. This is how the inside of the card turned out.

Rain or Shine

Sorry I have been MIA but I just had to take a week off, I think everyone knows how things can be busy summer, grandkids and a lot of other things going on but I feel much better now. I want to welcome a couple of new followers and I hope I can share some new things with them. It is time for the Outlaws Twisted Thursday challenge and for this week we twist is a WATER THEME. The paper I used is from The Paper Studio called Barnwood Pretty from Hobby Lobby store. The Bike is also from The Paper Studio Spare Parts. Used my Score-Pal to make the project. Cut some left over lace and added it to the front of the table cloth.

This is my project flat. I wanted to show you that it lays very nice flat so you could mail it easily. I took extra pictures so you could see my project in all kinds of ways. I found the instructions on Score-Pal blog July 1, 2015 challenge #17 Summer Fun theme. It is called Ice Cream Stand Card and I made mind into a Picnic table. So if you would like to try making one there is the tutorial for you to try any question just ask and I would be happy to help you out.

How I added the food stuff was I cut a slit in the table and slide the bottom of each bag and glued it under so it would stay. I had some of these food things in my stash and they worked perfect. We has fried chicken, corn crisps, baked beans and bread.
Some of the die cuts are Spellbinders in’spire Bird on a wire, umbrella trio. Martha Steward butterflies punch.
