Over at Color Me Creative the NEW CHALLENGE #54 will run until Oct 26th! The challenge has “A Touch of Red”,color ANY image ANY way you like but it must have some RED in the image somewhere!!We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!! I made this card for Kurt and Jessica (my kids) it was their 12th anniversary. I just love the sentiment and I’m sorry I can’t remember who it is from but I thought it was perfect for this image. Punched it out with the Marvy Uchida (pink) rectangle punch and sponged around it with distress ink color festive berries. The pearls (flourishes) are from say it with bling, The heart pearl on the top are from Hobby Lobby. Lace and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.

Spellbinder die is called floral oval. Memory box die pepita border outside & inside of the card. The rose paper was in the stash.

Took a close picture of the buttons because you can not see them in the upper picture they blend in so well with the paper but add the white roses to the top of the buttons.

Here is the close up. I also sponged around here with the distress ink. Jessica’s favorite color is red and she has long beautiful black hair. They both loved the card. We sure got some really needed rain this week end it rained both days, the last time we has and rain it was August 9th and then it was a very small amount but we still are so behind on rain.

Twisted Thursday has a pumpkin challenge

The images I used for the Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge are from Anne Fenton, she is a very talented artist and she has donated the images so we would have them for our challenge. Not all of the design team remembered she was going to do that but all of the girls created some fantastic cards that all have pumpkins on them so if you can stop by and check them out. Our twist for this challenge is to make a card with pumpkins. On my first card I used the die cut from Memory Box called Twirling Frame.  My sentiment is from Digital Delight. As far as the ski used a template and brilliance ink color sky blue. Added some cheese cloth to the background.  I finally got to use my acorns I got at Hobby Lobby in clearance. I do have to say this image is one of my favorites ones. The sentiment is from Digital Delight. Ribbon is from my stash. The paper is from Cloud 9 designs. Add 3 lime green metal dots.

Together we are Magic

Our challenge #21 at Cards for Men has started this week and for the theme for this challenge it is all about BLACK AND ORANGE. The sentiment is from Ginger house it was a Free one. Punched that out with 1 1/2 scalloped square punch and sponged the edges with distress ink color dried marigold. The paper and ribbon was from my stash. Spellbinders die labels 8 add to the inside of the card. Added some dots to some of the areas with the copic opaque white. Black metal dots and the orange round thingy's are from Hobby Lobby and they came from the Halloween sections  at 75% off. Also added some glossy accents to the bottle.

But things are looking up… I do not know how all these amazing bloggers do it when they get so many wonderful comments on their blog, I could never keep up with it. They make these stunning cards and then comment back, personally where do they get the time? I love so much seeing their creations. So if you can tell me how they do it I would appreciate it.

Because of this October being Breast Cancer Month I wanted to share this Pink Glove Dance with everyone. I hope you enjoy it. It is only a little over 3 minutes. The hospital staff really did a lot to put this video together to have everyone of their workers from the doctors to the Janitors.

Paper is DCWV it was last years and I do not remember what the name of it was (sorry). Created the background for Jamie by using vera mark and embossing power and heat setting it so it would look wet, them adding some liquid applique (white) and heat setting that and puffing that up and adding stickles glitter glue star dust. The white on Jamie shoes is from copic opaque white. Using glossy accents adding Styrofoam fluff so the snow looks a little fluffy. Punch out the circle for Jamie with the marvy uchida purple punch. Add a bell to Jamie hat.

I’m still here… I’m so sorry I have been kind of lost. I have had my mother-in-law here since Sunday and I have had no time to myself. She left this morning to fly back to Kansas so the first thing I want to do is upload my cards.  I made this for Color Me Creative challenge # 52  and the challenge is all about BRIGHT, FUN COLORS. The stamp I used is from Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design and it is called THE ODDLY SWEET CURIOSITIES SOME DAYS AND THE SENTIMENT COMES WITH THE STAMP. The challenge ends on October 12, 2012.
