Come to the Circus

Good morning everyone. My heart is a pounding…. I could not find my card this morning and all my notes where with the card. Yes I do have the pictures but I do not think I would remember all the things I have used, I know I would forget something. OK so now I’m ready, we are starting our challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and the twist for this week is Let go to the Circus. So as it always is anything goes with the twist of Let go to the Circus, if you have not been by you really need to stop by and see all the cards the design team has created, I do have to say they have dome an awesome job for the challenge.

The images used are from Mo Manning they are called Jo Jo and Cotton Candy girl. I merged the two images together. Printed the images out on X-Press it paper, I do have to say this paper is becoming my most favorite paper to use with my copic markers. The other papers are from Die Cuts with a View and I get that at Hobby Lobby or Joann’s and the name is All About Boys Stack.

The ribbon used is from Reasonable ribbon moss olive/white, blue/white, red/white,orange/white. 3 star brads, 5 glitter dots color yellow. I made my own Styrofoam fluff (flower soft) for Jo Jo flowers. Added a small amount of soft pink glitter to the cotton candy.
For the sky used brilliance sky blue and ice blue. Added a small amount of soft pink glitter to the cotton candy. What you think of her red hair? Never done that before. 5 glitter dots color yellow. I made my own Styrofoam fluff (flower soft) for Jo Jo flowers.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Monday. Here at Color Me Creative we have challenge # 51  going on and it is all about the LOTS OF YELLOW, BROWNS AND WHITE COLORS WITH THE OPTIONAL TWIST OF KRAFT CARD STOCK. The challenge ends on Sept 14.  The image I used is from Patties Creations and it is called “Vintage Dress” she is sponsoring our challenge this time.

The paper I used is X-press it and used Die Cuts with a View At home stack. Sponged around the image with distress ink scattered straw. Pearl Pen color sunny yellow.

 

 

Now for the die cuts Memory Box pepita border and madera corder.

This is Poppy stamps die gentle leaf and Punch a Bunch flower #2. Added stickles glitter glue color cinnamon. 

 

These are the copic markers used to color the image. I do have to say this card has the least colors on it them any other card I have ever done.

The close up. Used Ranger Perfect Medium brush along with clear embossing power. Just went around some of the edges of the dress wanting to highlight some area’s. You can see it here but it is hard to see in the other pictures. Have a wonderful week.

For Me?

Hello to everyone. We are having our challenge for the Outlawz Twisted Thursdays challenge and our twist for this week is all about TEDDY BEARS. The image I used is from Squigglefly and the image is called Love’s healing hands boy. I can just see this with any one of my boy when they where little wanting to bring home this sweet teddy that needs a little repair. My boys all had some kind of stuffed animal or blanket that they had to have when they where sleeping. Did some faux stitching with a white uni-ball signo medium size and a black pilot precise extra fine pen. The paper is from Die Cuts with a View called the home spun stack  and the crafty stack.

 

 

The little decorative trim in blue with the bears and hearts is from Hobby Lobby. Added buttons, cheese cloth and scrappers floss colors orange, yellow, cream and green.

 

This what the inside of the card look like, added the spellbinders labels 8, so you can add a sentiment or a message.

Missy and Sassy

Happy Sunday to everyone and I hope everyone has had a great week end. Mine was nice and quiet so I had some time to play in my craft room and enjoy my birds outside. Here is one of Nicecrane designs and it come in a set called Vintage Cute Kids II and the little girl is #4 and you also can get them colored or not colored. I just love all the adorable children.




This is what the set look like if you would like to check them out. These are so adorable. They are so much fun!


The dies are arboscello tree & woodland branch from memory box. Lovely fence from magnolia. Punches Tulip and flower from punch a bunch.


Used x press it card stock ( That has become my favorite paper to use with my copics).  Other papers are from paper studio. Pearls made with viva pearl pen color cream. Added spica ink color chocolate to the mini flowers centers.

Found this little hat in my stash and I had to use it so added some ribbon , button and pearls. How fun is this?

Here is the inside. Added the woodland branch from memory box and spellbinders curved rectangle and a little ribbon. These are the copic markers used to color the image. I also used soft blue chalk to do the background.

I want to share my Texas Rose house plant with you it is doing so wonderful this year, I’m sure it has to do with all that hot weather we have been having this summer. It has never had so many leaves and flowers on it.

Friendship

Hello all my wonderful friends! You know that nice cool weather I was talking about it is gone, today it is 88 degrees right now so it is back again. One thing that is really nice about living in Wisconsin is wait a little while and the weather will change. Here in Wisconsin we can have all 4 seasons in one day. I have experienced it, several time. I would go to work and it would be in the 80’s and I would get out of work and we would have 3 inches of snow and the temp would be  20 degrees. So anyway it is time for our challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and for this week the twist is all about Friendship, I thought I would use my Art impression stamp #UMT4136 and the sentiment is also from Art impression. I think these girls are so much fun.

 

Stamped the stamps with memento tuxedo black on crygoen card stock. The paper used is from my scraps. Sponged around the sentiment with distressed ink color dusty concord. One of Martha Steward border punches sorry I tried to find the name and I could not find the punch on line????

Used the rest of the purple ribbon and had some purple flowers in my stash. This the inside of the card.

Summer Fun

First I want to say I’m so sorry I have been gone for awhile. I have had computer problems so I have not been able to do much but everything is all fixed now so I’m all good to go now. I sure have missed everyone. I do have a lot of emails to try and get caught up on. So I have missed last weeks challenge at The Outlawz’s Twisted Thursday but I have my card done and I will share it with you after I share this weeks challenge with you. So the twisted for this week is all about BOATS, SAILBOATS AND CANOES. The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday August 21, 2012.

The stamps I used is from Northwood's stamps and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. Used X-Press it blending card stock. Used Memento Tuxedo black ink to stamp everything. Twine colors are orange, green and lemondrop. I found a couple of stickers for the inside and front, flip flops and the inter tube (ok help me, can’t think of what they are called)!!!

 

Die cuts with a view is the paper and it is the summer series. Inside is Memory box delicate vine and Spellbinders labels 8.

These are the copic’s markers used to color my image. I also used Diamond glaze from Judi Kins, liquid Applique from Marvy Uchida and Glamour dust from deco art. Here is the close up and I hope you can see all the different affects.

 

So last week our challenge at the Outlawz was all about ribbon or lace and a birthday sentiment. This is what I created. The sentiment is a little bit of a joke around here and the images is from Squigglefly called doubled kissed. The card shape is from Spellbinders grand labels 23.

 I sponged around with distressed ink dried marigold. Added a charm. Was some lace I already had and added some pearl in front of the lace.

 

 

As you can tell I also add just a little more pearls (ya right!) with the pearl pen color salmon.
