A little Basket for Easter
It is time again For Fun Challenges and it starts today April 6th and ends April 12th at 11:59pm. I had this little basket, so I thought one of my grandkids would love it filled with a little bit of candy (Mon and Dad do not let then eat a lot of candy) so I will put some other fun things in the basket. I used two of Whimsie Doodles images called “Got Bunny Boy” and “Easter Greeting”. I used two ribbon around the bottom basket one with purple Polka Dots and I put the Lace on top of the Polka Dots. For the sentiment I used Stampin’ up 3/4x7/8 Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Extra Large. I sponged around the small Oval with Brilliance Pearlescent Purple ink. I colored my images with copic markers. I also flipped the imaged so I had one going each way.

Life is to Short To Sit When you’d Rather Dance
Is that not so? I made this card for a challenge at CMC and it ends Sunday (today). We needed to use Primary colors with any kind of theme. I just love these chicks they are a stamp set that are from The Angel Company Called “Tail Feathers”. This is not all the stamps that come with the set. Are not these ladies Chicks a riot? The sentiments that come with the set are so funny. I colored everything with my copic markers.
It say shake those tail feathers. That is what she is doing.
The middle Chick looks like she is in shock but the Chick on the right is having a ball so I put a guitar on her and she is just rockin, singing and having a great time. So I added some music notes, these are all brads.
This rockin chick is rotten everyone on, Chick Chick Hooray!!! How good does it get.
I also added some ribbon, layered the card with several different layer of color card stock and added a couple green stars, red flowers and blue hearts. I have this silly card done.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have had a nice week end.
Hugs, Patricia

Wow... what credentials! Rick is providing a very generous prize for our challenge winner this week! The prize includes the three images our DT has created magic with, as well as at least three more gorgeous images! Do go visit his blog here, and his Etsy shop here...
My image is called “Dancing Elf” and it you stop by his shop you can see all of his images. I wanted to make him really festive because he is an entertainer, enjoying himself. He needs all kinds of fancy things so I put earring rime stone (yellow) in his ears red ones on his jacket for the berry. Also I wanted to try and color him in rich colors like reds, greens, purple and gold's. He want to fleshy and sparkle. I used the Gelly Roll Pens Line Star, Red Star, Grape Star, and Gold Star. I punched out on the button with the Fiskers border punch “Snowflakes” and added some gold stickles to where the snowflakes came out. Used Spellbinder Labels Ten 2 of the sizes and layered then. Sponged around the inside oval with Brilliance Mineral ink, the gold color one.
This is Spellbinders Fancy tags and the other little swirl you see is from Doodle Parts. I used and stamped happy holidays (sorry do not know where I got the stamp from) as you can see I put some red and gold dots on the cards also. The paper I used was all Pearlized Card Stock from Paper Studio.
I used a Christmas gold ribbon I had here and also some gold snowflakes from Trim a Tree section at Hobby Lobby at Christmas.
Here is the close up of my image. Almost forgot I added stars in gold color to his skirt, they are from Stampendous. I want to tell you what copics I used YR24,Y11,Y15,Y00 and that was to get the gold color. E11,E00 for skin. E13,E19 for hair. R39,R37,R35,R32,R20 for the red. V20,V25,V17 for the jacket and the green G21,G24,G28,G29.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY. I hope you enjoyed my card. I know it is wrong time of year and everyone wants to think of spring but you will have a Christmas done for next year.
Many Hugs, Patricia

Pierre and Ernest take a Ride.
Meet Pierre and Ernest, they are not going to let life just go by they are going to enjoy life so they decided to go for a bike ride and do they look like they are having fun? It is time again for Cards for Men Challenge.
Start Date: 28th March
End Date: 11th April
Theme: Embossing: I do want to point this out my card is embossed but you can not see it. I embossed the grass area with a Quic Kutz folder called “Plants” and you can not see the embossed area. I think it works best if you emboss something that has no design on the paper.

Prize: Clear Stamp
The image that I used is called “Pierre and Ernest” and I do have the link above to Paper Pretties if you would like to check out the images they have. The sentiment I used is a Stamp from The Angel Company. The Paper Shapers Punch is what I punch it out with it is the Scalloped Square. The Butterfly is Martha Steward Punch called Monarch. I punched it out twice, I did use sparkle white and yellow paper but it is hard to see and added some yellow rime stones.
On the handle bars of the bike, I used yard to make the tassels for the handles.Of course their has
to be some flowers in the grass, so I added just a few.
I do think they look like they are having fun. This is the close up of my images. I added some wiggly eyes two both Pierre and Ernest. I added Diamond Glaze from Jude Kinz. I’m sure you can tell I cut the image out, I’m sure you are thinking I can’t believe she even said that. I was trying to think of a background for the image and I thought this would work perfect.
So I hope you had a wonderful week end. I want to thank you for stopping. I do hope you enjoyed my card.

Dahlia are so Beautiful
I just love this Dahlia it was a FREE image from Glitterbabe Greetings at one time. Right now Stef has a FREE image on her blog if you want to stop by. I guess I was in left field when I picked up the Dahlia image because I was sure she was going to have a challenge. So I left her a comment on her blog that I finally got her card done and it was before the challenge ended and it was going to end March 15. So Stef comments back to me and tells me that she has NO CHALLENGE GOING ON. Oh well!!! I was always late for her challenges anyway. You should stop by Stef store and see what she has just
Here is a close up of the butterfly it is a sticker from Jalee’s Boutique EK Success. The little lady bug is also a sticker from Busy Kids, Kids Camp. I added some rime stones, pearls, ribbon, designer paper from DCWV, Die Cuts with a View.

A PARTY AT GILLI’S HOUSE AND EVERYONE IS INVITED.
I’m so EXCITED! and let me tell you why? I was asked to be the GUEST DESIGNER AT THE HOUSE OF GILLI CHALLENGE BLOG!! Everyone is unbelievably nice and so helpful. So if you would like to join in on the challenge just click on the link and it will bring your right over to the blog. The Challenge is GREEN. You do not need to use a Gilli girl stamp but if you do, you get extra points. Their is even more great news they have a store, you can find almost anything but most of all you can find Gilli’s Girls Stamps and they are the best. So if you click right here it will bring you to the store and you can see All Gilli’s Girls Stamps designed by Anary, She even has some NEW ones since the last time I was their, Cowgirl Gilli Stamp, Duty Gilli Stamp and Celtic Gilli Stamp their is even more NEW ones. So I put my order in and if you put your order in you will have a Gilli Girl Stamp and get double points. I’m really happy with the way the Stamps are made. They are red rubber and deeply etched so you get a nice clear image every time. For the door handle, lock and mail slot I used Smooch color Silver.
Here we go, I’m going to try and tell you about my card. It is 5 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. The doors are the same. I made 2 strips for each side 5 1/4 inches long and 3/4 inches wide, then scored each 1/4 inch 3 times. It kind of makes like a hinge so the doors can open and close. I hope you understand. I do have to tell you the doors are a stamp that I found on line and I copied and paste it in Microsoft word so I was able to enlarge the door to the size I wanted then to be. Now if you want to try to make the card, no promises, you need to let me know you want the door so if you leave a comment leave your email address and I will send the doors to you, remember it is in Microsoft word so if you will have a problem with that then it will not open. Also the windows are not cut out I cut the windows out and used Acetate and glued it to the back of the doors and to my surprise the glue did not show after it dried. The glue I used was Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive.
See how nice the Acetate held and you see no glue. You also can so a little of the hinge of the door so you can get an idea.
Here is a picture with the doors wide open so you can see how everything looks. The 2 stamps I used are called Victorian Gilli Stamp she is on the left and Fairy Gilli Stamp is on the right. I did cut Fairy Gilli Stamp wings off because this is a party for just regular people. Copic Markers I used on the doors are E99, E53, E59, E25 and E33.
I do want to tell you about the wreath I have on this door. My really good friend Holly crochets and she will send me some flowers and last time she sent me these shamrocks. What a perfect place to put then. So I made a little wreath and put a little metal bow on the front with some scrappers floss colors line and green to tie everything together. I do want to say a BIG THANK YOU AGAIN TO HOLLY BECAUSE I LOVE ALL THE THINGS SHE SENDS. I have Arthritis in my hands and I can not crochet anymore. That why I say Thank God for Copics.
Her Wallpaper is from Made by Memory Box paper called Brioche. I think Gilli did a wonderful job fixing up her house for her party. I did use copic markers. On Victorian Gilli she is the one on the left for her dress the copic I used are G20, YG63 and YG67. Her hair E35, YR20 and YR21 and skin E11,E02, E00 and R21. Then for Fairy Gilli Her dress G00, G02 and G05. Her hair E11, E15 and E17. I added some dots on her dress with At You Spica Pen color Olive.
This is a button I found. I thought it would look nice as a wall ornament. I punched out a small shamrock and put it on the button and added some Stickles glitter glue color green. Sorry I do not know who made the punch, no name on the punch.
Here is the table of course. I punched out two Color Crayons it is a punch from Emagination for the legs of the table. Cut some card stock in half at an angle and added some 1/4 inch Christmas ribbon for the edge. Punched out another shamrock on the tablecloth to help it look festive.
Yes we have to have something on the table. What better then flowers. I made then with Flower Soft. Colors yellow/orange, yellow, light blue and purple. The leaves are from Martha Steward punch called Frond.
Here are the close ups of the girls. I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone has a wonderful week end.
