Ornament 2015
We are going for a record today our temp right now are 58 degrees and in Wisconsin this does not happen so far this has been the warmest December on record. Welcome everyone it is time for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and the twist for this week is to make a Christmas card/project. I decided to make my ornament as I make one every year for the grandkids and I have never made them a shaker ornament. I do have to tell you I had more glitter on me and all over my craft room but everything sparkled. Our Sponsor for this month is Besties and the image I choose to use is Holiday Fun Image 029.

Spellbinder 2011 Heirloom ornament is what I used as the base for the pattern. I cut out several scrap sample to work with.
I used Suze Weinberg’s Beadazzles Disco Ball (silver) and the Christmas mix for the ornament area.
This is Impression Obsession Holly die DIE098-A and I added size 11 red seed beads for the berries.
Adding the snow, stampendous fan-tage crushed glass silver and gold. Then putting on the transparency. I had this Christmas trim in my stash and thought it would make a nice frame.
Cut out the shape of the ornament using a strong designer paper to give it a strong backing. I traced the shape of the ornament on flat Styrofoam and cut it out with an craft knife and the left about 1/4” edge around the ornament to make the frame.
Here is a side view. I added some snow to the edges with glue so you could not see the Styrofoam. I also did that on the inside by adding glue and them adding some snow. The snow I used was from the Christmas department at Michaels.
These are the copic markers I used to color my image. Here is the close up of the Holiday Fun Image 029.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions let me know.

That is a lot of glitter and I can just imagine how much was in your room when you finished. I've had some cases where there was more on me and my desk than the card. It is beautiful and a lot of great work went into crating this ornament. Enjoy your weekend if you don't have to spend it cleaning up glitter. LOL
