Last one for Scrapy Land challenge #32 for this year but you will see us back in 2016! So come join us again in 2015 and finish the year off right! Our theme for this challenge is all about the Holidays! I wanted to make a picture frame for the kids so they could put a new picture in it each year. Now let me tell you about this picture it is old, it was the only one I could fine right now. Emma (granddaughter) was 3 year and now she is 10 years old and Aiden my (grandson) was 7 years old and now he is 14 years old. One thing you need to remember is you need to use Scrapy Land dies, ones they sell at the store, they sell over 40 different brands and it would be a good idea if you would tell us what die you used. Scrapy Land is a Bi-Weekly challenge and you have a chance to win a gift card to Scrapy Land
Used white foam board. cut it with a rotary cutter to the size of 12” by 8 1/2”. I found a musical sheet of designer paper (wish I could of found more) and it worked out fine, the paper was 12” by 12”. I used Mod Podge matte to glue everything together. I cut out a piece of scrap paper about the size I want the picture to be and that was 3 3/4” by 6” and I used that to decided where I wanted the picture to go. I traced around the scrap paper and the cut the piece out.
I did color the card stock with distress inks for the flowers used was mustard seed, festive berries, barn door and aged mahogany, for the leaves crushed olive and mowed lawn. Have several pictures of the poinsettias. It is Tim Holtz’s tattered poinsettia #658261. Cut several of them out.

This is the poinsettia that is on the right side.
Spellbinder shapeabilities foliage and Impression Obsession Pine Pairs DIE215-E After shaping the flowers sprayed them wit Krylon shimmering silver. Added a few touches of Aleenes snow to the tips of the flowers. Used stickles gold glitter glue for the centers of the poinsettias. You can see here there are several red gems for the berries.
Not sure if you can tell here but added ribbon to the lift and right side to give this a finish look.
Here you can see the pine cones added. A little story about those. This summer The kids and I went to Door Country, it is a scenic area in the thumb area if you look at the state of Wisconsin and we took a boat over to some of the islands and spent the night and had a great time. While we where their we seen all these tiny pine cones so we stared picking some of them up a little reminder of our trip so I wanted to add a few on the frame.
Cherry lynn design Merry Christmas set B186.
One part of my beautiful family
.
This how I did the back. Cut a 12” by 12” heavy card stock to the size of 12” by 8 1/2”. I cut a black mat and a white mat so they will have what ever they need. Traced where the picture would go
I know I will be back with one more posing. I hope you enjoyed my picture frame. Thanks for stopping. Sorry I guess I’m talking too much.
I sure hope this posting turns out... I never use blogger but I could not get my Windows Live Writer to work right. Does anyone know how to get the black lines that around the pictures to go away?
