Needless to say this is not one of my favorite cards. At the Outlaws Twisted Thursday the twisted for this week is to make a “clean and simple card” (CAS). For a lot of people that is some that is super easy but not for me. You have no idea how much I wanted to do more to this card and I do not like it at all. I added some Speia accents it is a dimensional medium and the color is a soft pink not we need to honest it looks like a blob of jelly. I used distress inks colors aged mahogany, tattered rose and Victorian velvet. Added the ink on a piece of tape and applied it to the card. Sponged around the edges with Victorian velvet. I stamped with versafine onyx black a couple stamps from inkadikado. So this is all I’m going to say about this card.
I wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to be at the Expo in Milwaukee craft fair it is going to be at the state fair this year address 640 S. 84th Street. Stop by and see me I’m going to be demoing for Heartfelt creations on Friday from 9 tell 6. I would love if you live in my area and are going to go to stop by and say Hello, I would love to meet you. I’m going on Saturday also but just to see the craft show because on Friday I will not have time to do that.
Thanks for stopping by, you are all the greatest.

Pat,this is a wonderful CAS! Your sponging and design is fabulous. You made me laugh about the jelly blog. You are too critical. Honest, this is a great card!
Great CAS! I never really thought I was good at CAS but it does take practice. Love the stripes in the background and your embellishments are beautiful! Wonderful job!
I think it's lovely, Pat! It is a wonderful CAS card!
Gorgeous, creative and lovely!
Hugs,
Teresa
Despite the fact that you're not a fan of this card, I have thorougly enjoyed admiring this. Once I enlarged the card I became even more enamored with it! Seeing you putting the brakes on at every turn and stopping yourself from doing your usual, you made the very best choices on this beautiful card. It's the worst and most horrible technique to employ if it's not your 'cup of tea' but seeing what you put together here is honestly wonderful!! It's the best amount of minimalist and I really love that blob of jelly...LOL!! It encourages all of us who are fans of your work to step out of our comfort zones. You should be proud of yourself.
Have a wonderful time this weekend. I'll be there in spirit!
hugs,
Lisa x
I know this was hard for you to do, but I think it is lovely and it does not look like a blob of jelly to me. The colors are nice and soft looking.
I missed commenting most of this week so I also wanted to tell you that your Hello Friend card is just gorgeous also. See I'm a CAS type car maker and yet I loved all those pretty little flowers and lace. Enjoy your weekend Pat.
I think you've done a super job with this CAS style my friend!! It's a bit hard to get used to the idea at first, but I promise, the more you try it out, the more addictive it becomes! ;) Practice is a good thing!! Enjoy the weekend! HUGS
Pat, I've been reading everyone's comments (only because you didn't seem to like your card very much) and I have to agree with everyone else. It is a wonderful card and I really like what you did and think it is stunning!!
I wish I had known ahead about the show in Milwaukee. A long drive but it would have been a fun trip!!
Hugs

Beautiful background Patricia. It gives it a vintage feel. I have a terrible time with CAS too. I always want to add more. Love your color choices on this one too! Beautiful
Honestly, Pat, I think this is a beautiful CAS design! I love the entire design! Really, really cool! :^)
Hugs, Penny
What a gorgeous card Pat! You know it is one of my favorite techniques! Love it and it is so beautiful!
Take care.... I have been ill for the past 8 weeks. Feeling better and will try to give you a call!

You don't like this? Seriously, when I first spotted it I looked forward to read your post, as I was really curious to learn what you did to get the effect of the red detailing that you call jam, lol. I think this is a stunning card. Seriously.
hahaha - well, I like it! LOL Like you, I simply do not know how to do CAS, Pat, but I hope to learn! I love all the fun elements on your card! hugs, de
