Where have all the BUGS gone?

Where have all the bugs gone 2015 f
Sorry have not been around been having problems with my Arthritis (all over) but bad in my hands. So had to go in and have some steroid injections in my hands (ouch), so the medication is finally working and I can type and make some cards again. Why does life do this us? I suffered with (really bad) migraines most of my life when I was younger and then they seam to kind of go away and now I suffer with Arthritis and it is both kinds. I have to remember to tell myself it could be worse, right?
Okay this card was for last weeks Twisted Thursday challenge and the twisted was to make a gatefold card. Now my wonderful quilling you see, I did these a long time ago when my hands worked really good. I thought the bugs would go nice with the boot. Our sponsor for this month is Bugaboo. My images is called “Rain Boot”.

Okay, I have somehow lost my notes on this card, so I will do my best.

All the pearls bare from All that Bling.

Cold Outside 2015 i

This what I did to the inside. I used a 6x6 stencil from crafters workshop called mini mod circles and used brilliance moonlight white. Add some rick rack, more pearls and brads.

The flowers I used Nellie Swellen punches. I used a foil to punch out the flowers, another long lost something I found. I also put the foil behind  the die cut.  You can see the ribbon a little more in this picture.

Here are my brads, can you tell they are fuzzy?

I hope you can tell… One of my blogging friends did this and I thought this was pretty neat. Cut the Spellbinder die out 2 times and moved one a little to the side. I think that looks pretty cool.

Both cards are gorgeous. I love the quilling and the fur on your little girl's hat.

I am so sorry to hear about your arthritis. It sounds terrible. :(

Blessing hugs,

Hi Patricia. Both are fantastic cards. Sorry about your pains. I have arthritis also in my hands but I also have it in my knees - this getting old is no fun at all.

Wonderful cards, Pat! I love your coloring. So sorry to hear that your arthritis is acting up. I get that too but so far it hasn't affected my hands so badly. My back is more the problem. Love that Bugaboo image. Great job! Hope you are feeling better very soon!

Patricia, so sorry to hear about how you are suffering with arthritis. My mom has a terrible time with it too.
Your cards are stunning. I love the quilling!!! Your design is out of this world beautiful!!!xx

First off I am so sorry you are suffering with both kinds of Arthritis. One of them is bad enough. It has just starting to hit my hands within the past few months but not too bad yet. The worse is my back. Well onto your beautiful cards. I love the both. The colors in your second card just scream out to me because I love them so much. Your first card is as sweet as can be and you did a fantastic quilling job. Here's hoping your shots last a while. Mine usually last about 4 weeks but then I have to wait 2 more months till the next shot. It is tough but as you said, we are pretty lucky compared to some people. Have a good day.

Both of these are amazing looking. Love the added quilling on the first one and the way you created the fur on the second one looks fantastic. Sorry to hear about the arthritis. I have it in both thumbs.

I really like the wooden and worn look of the DPs on your first card, and those quilled flowers are really beautiful.
As for your second I think the 'shadow effect' of the die cut frame, great idea! And that image is do sweet and your card has plenty of gorgeous derails.

Oh, my, sorry your arthritis is so bad that you needed shots! Ouch is right, although I know that they will help. Hope that you are getting your flexibility back in your hands. It's always something when we get older isn't it? ;^)
These are two beautiful cards! Love your coloring on both of them. The bugs are too cute--great gate-fold design and love all the quilling! And your die cuts and pearls on your second card are just stunning! Love, love, love them! :^)

You made two amazing cards here Pat.
So much more precious because you struggled with pain to make them. I'm so sorry that you hear you are in so much pain. Life isn't fair is it! Yes we do have to remember there is always someone worse than us, but that doesn't always help when things are bad. I hope the injections continue to ease your joints. xxx

Yucky, Pat! I'm sad to hear about the pain, but grateful that some treatment is beginning to alleviate the pain and disability. Our bodies are not very nice sometimes. I hope that as the months warm up, you will be feeling improved. Pat, both of your cards are wonderful!

Love the bugs card fold - I have not made one of those yet, and the colors are so fun! My heart really REALLY fell in love with the little girl and all her frilly purple flowers and pearls. Beautifully colored and arranged, it's a winner!

Sending warm, loving feel-better wishes to you. xo

This getting old gets annoying after while, doesn't it? I developed trigger finger from doing too much Zentangle and knitting. I needed a couple of those shots too. Coloring doesn't seem to hurt as much, and I can see that it certainly hasn't slowed you down. Your cards are always so beautifully colored and I love the layouts you come up with. Do take care.

Glad your hands are feeling a little better, Pat!! Oh, where do I begin with your two lovely projects!! Wow, they are so gorgeous, the both of them!! I love the bug card and your quilling. The barnwood paper is so perfect for this card. And now for the purple card...it is just remarkable!! Have always loved purple and green together and this is so beautiful and such a great design. Love those flowers too. Well, I could go on and on but I'll wrap it up by saying that you have made two gorgeous cards and the recipients are indeed lucky!!
Hugs
