Winter Time

Winter time 2014
It is that time of year and most of us look outside and this is what we see. Over at Color Me Creative the challenge #84 is “ANYTHING GOES”. The challenge ends January 17 at 8;00pm so lots of time to enter your card. The image I used is from Stitchy Bear and it is called snowy postbox
Winter time 2014 r
The paper I used is DCVW it is their Winter Solstice stack.
Winter time 2014 l
Used a couple of die cuts from Memory Box called Frostyville border and Frosty border.  Add a small piece of lace in the background.
Winter time 2014 i
For the inside I used Martha Steward aspen snowflake border and corner punch. Left the inside open for a sentiment or a written message.

Here is a close up and these are the copic markers I used to color my image. What I added to my card for the snow, I make it myself. I call it Styrofoam fluff snow.

I’m sure you have seen my video on How to make Styrofoam fluff snow but I though just in case someone new stops in I would share it again. If you have seen it you can just pass by it.

I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love....this is the most creative thing I've seen in some time. I absolutely am drawn in to your creation and the realism of it. The driven on snow is fabulous!!! And you've added color too. That just makes me smile. One of my favorite places is the $1 store. I will definitely give this a go.
Hugs to you!

Well my friend, I think this is one of my very favourite cards of yours. I LOVE that scene and will be hot footing it to the store to buy it after I've left this comment. I LOVE our post boxes, the Georgian and Victorian ones especially. This is a Georgian one, hence the GR on the front. Brilliantly coloured and your styrofoam snow is amazing! Gotta go Patricia, I've got a digi stamp to buy! xxx

Like the one you made previously your hand made snow is actually the best I've seen in all of the crafting world. Funny enough, I tried doing that once and didn't like the result, but thanks to you I know why. I shaved it twice, thanks for the tip I will definitely be trying this again.
It is so realistic and gives your beautiful creations that WOW factor. Gorgeous work as always, love the red mailbox :)S

In love with the snow, I tried to create some tonight, did not turn out well. So is so perfect, especially with the Polar vortex this week. Awesome beauty, my friend.

That is such a lovely snowy scene. It is good to see a proper Georgian postbox, there are not enough of them about. They just have the right character for a scene like this. Your special snow is amazing. Thank you for joining us on Craft A Scene this month. xx Maggie

Your card is absolutely beautiful--great scene and beautifully colored. But I am soooo glad that is not what I see when I look out my windows, lol!!! Love the texture you added for snow, too. And your design, DP, and die cuts are fabulous! Love this! But, brrrrr, not in my neighborhood! ;^)
