By the Sea the beautiful Sea…

By the sea the beautiful sea 2013

The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge for this week has started and the TWISTED for this week is all about “SHAPED CARDS”. Our sponsor for the month of November is Oak Pond creations and the images I used to create my shaped card are “FANCY FISH” and “ANCHO UNDERWATER”. Stop by Oak Pond creations and see the many wonderful images Kimberly has in her shop. For the shape of my card I used some shaped chipboard book from Studio 18, I love the shape and thought it would make a nice card.

I've been an artist since the day I was born I just never knew it. As a child I always loved arts and crafts but as an adult I let real life take over and forgot about the important things like scissors, paper and glue.  I dabbled in jewelry making for a while then my friend Jeni introduced me to papercrafting in 2011 and later that year  I started sketching my own greeting card images.  In April of 2012 I opened Oak Pond Creations Digital Illustration Studio on Etsy. I hope my images provide inspiration and smiles. Hugs and happy crafting!

The spellbinder I used is called gold labels four. Added some cheese cloth and some shells, rocks, fish from my stash.

Used Martha Steward shell border punch.

My papers are also from my stash. These are the copic markers used to color the images.

Added some diamond glaze from Judi kins for the bubbles. For the background I mostly used the B’s and added some W’s but also added shimmerz color sea foam and tattered angels glimmers pearl and twilight, what I did was brush them on lightly with a fanned out brush. So many sparkles in all colors but hard to see in pictures.

What a fabulous card that seascape is Pat! LOVE that cheesecloth. It really does remind you of fishing net. Love your little fishy too. She's a cutie! Your acorn card is smashing too. Thanks for the template. I' will copy it, and try to turn it into an svg so I can get me Cameo to do all the work!
I'm sorry I didn't get chance to meet up with you last month. Time ran away with us too fast. 10 days just isn't long enough! xxx

Patricia,
I love your little shaped card. You have created your own marine aquarium. At first I thought it was an altered canvas. This is fantastic.
Thank you for the acorn card template. My, you are some clever.
