I stand in awe….

I stand in awe 2013

I’m so sorry I’ve been so quiet but I’m starting to feel much better. Went to the doctor got some meds, she did lots of tests and the results was pneumonia and how fun is that?? So now it has been 3 and half weeks and I’m finally feeling like I’m a person. That was not fun at all. I did what the doctor said lots of rest, sleep, drink water and take my meds. That really takes everything out of a person. No more about this for the rest of the year…. Over at The Outlawz Twisted  Thursday challenge has started and the twist for this week is to make a Circle card. So I made a circle easel card.

My beautiful Goldfinch is from I Brake For Stamps. What I did was look up the Goldfinch on line so I would get a good picture of the Goldfinch and this is what I came up with. I love birds, I have six feeders in my backyard and I keep them full all year long. Remember if you stop by I Brake For Stamps I have a coupon code for you at will give you 10% off your order, it is SAVE10PAT
The lace and chipboard I had in my scraps.

The bottom of the easel card I added a sentiment it is one you can pick up at I Brake For Stamps, love the words and how true they are. My rose is from Hobby Lobby in the bridle department. Added some pearl pen color pearl white.

These are the copic markers used to color the image. Here is the close up of the pretty Goldfinch.

Thanks so much for stopping. Have a wonderful week, hope all is well on your end. I’m so behind on everything. Someday over the rainbow… I Have no idea why I said that… Take care everyone!!

Pat, First off, I'm glad you are feeling better, but please don't overdo it. This is a striking card. Not only a circle card, but an easel to boot. Gorgeous job coloring the gold finch and the background is beautifully done. Those pearl drops make a great final touch. Love, love, love the lace and I'm not usually a lace person. I too, love birds and was just thinking when I first got up this morning that I need to start making some ornaments for my outdoor Christmas tree. I put up a tree on the back deck for the birds. I have 4 other feeders in the back yard and the birds seems to empty them as soon as I fill them. In fact that is on our list of things to do today, buy more bird feed. It's gong to be extremely windy here today so I hope none of the feeders fall down. I'll have to keep a close eye on them. Have a great day and take care. Whew you'll need a nap after reading this long comment.

Oh no Pat! I'm so sorry to hear about your pneumonia! Thank Heavens you are on the mend now! I'm so sorry I couldn't meet up with you when I was over there last week. I spent most of the time in Missouri for a wedding and only had a couple of days back at Peachy Keen HQ before coming home! What a shame! Maybe next year eh? Your card btw, is amazing! LOVE the lace edges to bits and your little bird looks so serene against all those beautiful colours. Please get well soon. xxx

This circular design is stunning, Pat, so soft and delicate! The bright yellow bird stands out beautifully from the beautiful pale purple background, and the green die cut details work so well with this bird scene!
