Summer Flowers

Flowers 2013
I’m so happy you stopped by today. My card is somewhat a copy of my friend Pam’s card, I thought it was so darling and it would work perfectly for our challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursdays as you know it is always anything goes with a twist and the twist this week is SUMMER5 FLOWERS. For me it is a clean and simple card and I do find it had to make these kind of cards because I never know where to stop and I love adding all those beautiful embellishments. So I do not have any side view this time. The card is a standard 4 1/4” by 5 1/2 card.  All of the stamps are from the Angel company and they are randomly stamped on a 3”by3” piece of card stock.  The black is a strip cut 1 1/8” by 9” and then I cut it to fit the white card stock 1 1/8” by 3 1/8”. Embossed a little over half of the front turquoise card stock and used some sand paper to take off some of the color. The embossing folder is from Lifestyles crafts, Goose Bumps embossing folder called Lattice. The ribbon is from JoAnn’s.

On the inside, punched out the corners with creative memories corner punch. Added some pearl pen color sunny yellow. Stamped All night media stamp called large sprig on the sides with distress ink color crushed olive. Left open for a stamped sentiment or a written message.

Sorry my picture did not come out so good. These are the copic marker used to color the flowers. Here is the close up. Added some stickles glitter glue color star dust and cinnamon.

This is a beautiful card. I love flowers whether they are real or images. You did a beautiful job on this card. Love how you sanded the embossed paper. Everything about it is beautiful.

This is a lovely design, Pat - I just might copy it myself! I love the effect of the image being divided into 3 sections, and the sanded, distressed look of the paper work so well with this design! Clean and classy, and I love it!!!

Oh you've inspired me again Patricia! I tend to forget how pretty a large stamp can be if I cut it in 3 and frame it this way. I would love to have 3 stamps, but well...hahahaha! I have enuf! Beautiful card!

How pretty, Patricia. It looks like a triptych wall hanging.

Super beautiful card, Patricia! I love the flowers, your coloring, the pretty DP, and wonderful simple design! Every once in a while it's nice to do a card without all the "stuff", isn't it? :^)

Awesome card Patricia, I love the design and your colouring on that beautiful floral image. You stopped in the perfect place, anything else would have taken away from the focal point, that being the flowers. Love the gorgeous colour palette.
Have been away most of July, hopefully I will be able to start tending to my blog and commenting. Hope you are well my friend!
