Holidays are Magical

Holidays are Magical 2013

Hello to everyone and hope you are having a dry cool week. All my friends in the south please stay dry and away from those rains, my heart goes out to everyone. Hot here today but they say it is going to cool off for the next week and I will be happy to take that. It is time again for Cards For Men challenge #15 and it is all about making a card for a guy or young man that is a Christmas card. Our sponsor for this challenge is Meljen and the image I’m using is called ornament mouse and the sentiment holidays are magical. We would love for you to join us. The challenge ends August 4 2013.

Sentiment and image is punched out with marvy unhida scalloped oval and 3 inch circle. Cut out several sizes of the spellbinders scalloped circle. Embossing folders are stampin up petals a plenty and cuttlebug snowflake. The paper is from paper studio Christmas traditions.

On the embossing folders I hope you can see, I added metallic rub on to the embossed area gold and green. Ribbon was from the Christmas department at Hobby Lobby.

I wanted to try this. I seen it on pinterest. This is Maryann Tree die and to make it look snowy they added some of Martha Steward branch punch. I do like it but next time I will add less branches.

Holidays are Magical 2013 i

Martha Steward aspen snowflake border for the inside. Left open for a sentiment or a hand written message. These are the copic markers used to color the image.

Lots of glitter…. Colors forest green, red and gold. Krylon gold leafing pen around the image and a few other places. To the hat added some white liquid applique and some stickles glitter glue star dust. The pom pom cut in half and glued it on.

Thanks for stopping. Have a wonderful week.

I just love how you made those trees! It's such a great idea to add punched branches to make them so white and snowy! I also think the metallic rub on adds that little something special to your embossed background, and what would a Christmas card be without a little bit (or loads) of glitter!
