Smile!

Smile 2013

This year is just flying by, it’s almost the middle of June and most of my flowers have not bloomed yet. Sure has been a cool spring. I do not know if you are like me, I like the cooler temps. I’m not one for the 90’s plus temps. I lived in Phoenix for awhile and did not like that at all but my Dad love it, he was their 45 years. Just what??? It’s Delightful Thursday that means all the wonderful designers at Digital Delight have created some inspiring cards for you to look at. My image is called Say Cheese Paul and the sentiment come from summer of smiles sentiment set.

We can’t forget that The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge started today and it is always Anything goes but the twist for this week is MASCULINE card. Nice time to make a Father’s Day card.

Used a spellbinder called romantic rectangle die to cut the image out. The check frame stamp is from Hero Arts. I stamped it with Staz On ink colors olive green and mustard. The papers used are from my scraps. Added two different sizes of metal dots.

The punch is from Fiskars and I have no idea what the name. I want to tell you about these Fiskars border punches, I would not recommend them to anyone, I have had so many of them brake on me.  The handle they have brakes right off or they will not punch. Please do not waist your money…  Just wanted to let you know what I think.  Left it open for a hand written message or a stamped message.

Here are the copic markers used to color the image and the close up.

Oh my goodness. I feel like I've been under a rock the past few weeks. I think I have, but one called life..ick, but it's SO nice to be back in bloggy land and see what all my creative friends have been up to. Having now held one of your cards in my hand, I can say that seeing them on your blog, doesn't do them justice I am certain. I absolutely love your style and each side of the card has so much detail (ornate and tiny especially) and so wonderful. The last 3 posts have just been so much fun. Love the coloring textures of their skin and the detailed embellishments that bring the themes together are perfect. You're keeping my mojo alive and kicking and for that I thank you. :)
hugs to you Pat,
Lisa x
