Quiet times

Quite times 2013

I’m back with the Cards for Men challenge #8 and it is anything goes but has to be for a man or a boy card. I have not made a scenic card in a long time, I love to make them.

I first cut out my card stock with spellbinders die labels 5. I left the die on the front of the cut, on the front I used removal tape on the edges so it would stay in place and add the inks to the sky and the ground area. For stamping the stamps I added post it notes on the white area so I would not stamp in that area. Punched out a 1 inch circle from the post it notes. Using different sponges for each color of ink. The inks used for the sky are memento cantaloupe ink add a little and now put the 1 inch circle on add some more of the cantaloupe trying not to let the circle move now add the tangelo memento ink to the top edges. The grass area used memento bamboo leaves ink. I finished it off with some memento tuxedo black only on the bottom. After I got all the stamps done I removed the post it notes papers and the circle and this is what I got…

The stamps I used are from stampscapes man with boy, birds, and cows. The scenic background is from The angel company from the set mountain scene. Rounded all the corners with the zutter round it all.

Inside add another spellbinders label 5, sponged the edges with memento cantaloupe ink. Magnolia doohickeys leaf and memory box pepita border. No copic markers this time. close up.

Pat, this is so beautiful! I love these type cards and they amaze me when I see the finished card. You did a beautiful job on the sponging. I've got to try it one of these days when I find time.
