May your Birthday be as Special as you are.

Christina our wonderful Sunshine creator is having another SNR Challenge and it starts April 11 and it is due April 24. The theme this time is BIRTHDAYS and different kinds of FOLDS. You will have a FREE image to work with it is from Sunshine and it is the "Autumn Wreath" it does not have to be an autumn wreath you can make it a spring or summer one. How beautiful can that be? So just click here and you can pick up the wreath and join us in the challenge and win a FREE image. The SNR Challenge will be posted Sunday April 11 so watch for it. When you get your card done you will post it to the SNR challenge.May your birthday be as special as you are. (part open)

So this is what I did. I call it a Stand up card. I do not have any directions and I'm sure there is some out there but I've never found any. I seen a card that somewhat looked like this and I copied it from a picture and this is my take of the card.My your birthday be as special as you are.

This is what the card looks like when it is open and this is how I made it. The size is 12 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I used my score pal and scored 2 inches and another 2 inches and turned my paper around and scored the other side 2 inches and another 2 inches, then the middle will be 4 inches by 5 1/2. Measure up on both ends 3 1/2 inches and mark the spot with a pencil now draw a line with a ruler from that spot to the score line that is at the 4 inches, do this on both sides, then cut the edges off and you will have your angle. When you start folding your card it will be a mountain folds first and then a valley fold and do the same on both sides. I sure hope you understand how I made the card. Now how you embellishment it is up to you and the different layers you want to put on the card. So have fun with it.May your birthday be as special as you are. (front)

My little guy is called "Happy Chick" it is one of Christina our Miss Sunshine New images and he is so cute!!! So if you would like to see so more of Sunshines new images please click here and take a look. I colored Happy Chick with copic marker I used B91, B93, B95, G21, G24, E13, E15, E17, YR000, YR00, YR01, and BG10. I used Brilliance Mediterranean Blue and sponged the edges. The paper I used for my 3D flowers was glitter paper yellow, green and shades of different blues. I made my brads glittery by heating then up and dipping then in glitter and melting the glitter on the brads. I used several punches to make the flowers, greenery and the music notes. There are bottoms, scrappers floss in green and dark blue, diamond glaze from Judi Kins, Stickles glitter glue waterfall, stardust and lime green. I am so sorry but I do not remember who the words stamps are by. I have unmounted all my stamps and some of then I can remember but I have so many I can not remember then all.May your birthday be as special as you are. (closed)

This is what I did for the card to close. I used ribbon. I tapped the ribbon on the back from one side to the other side and held it down with my finger and tied a bow. It really does not like to be closed, but I guess you need to close it to give it to some one. WOW! I never thought this would be so long. I sure hope you enjoyed it and let me know if you make a card. Also if you have seen directions for a card like this let me know where they are.
