Enjoy summer (side)

The stamp is from Great Impressions it is wonderful saying and how true that is. The paper is from Heidi Grace designs and that is manufactured for Fiskars and made in the USA. Stamped the saying with Brilliance Sky Blue ink and used a template to sponge the sky on the background on the image. The corner punch used is from Family Treasures. Colored my image with copic markers and also used the copic multiliners 0.3 markers. White Gel Pen- Pastel American Craft. Something a friend told me and I will share it with you because it works but I do it a little different. She told me that she take her white pens and puts it in her hand so it warms up and rolls it back and forth. I have a hard time doing that because of my Arthritis in both my hands so when I go to my craft room I know I will be using my white Pen so I sit on it so when I need it I know where it is and it is all warm and it really works, my inks flows out beautifully. So if you have a hard time getting your white pens to work give it a try, you do not need to sit on your but if you can think of something better, let me know. The ribbon I just love I got it at Joann's and it sure works with the theme. Used Diamond Glaze from Judi Kins on the Penguins to give then a little shine. The embellishments are from Dress it up Mosaics Style #7. I almost forgot I use my Styrofoam Fluff to make it look like sand that everyone is walking on. I hope you like my card. If you do like me know by leaving a comment.

Emma and her butterfly card.

Emma card out side

Emma worked really hard on her card she wanted to make for Mommy, their was no special reason she just wanted to make her Mommy a card.  Personally I would not know where she would ever get that from but I understand. I had some card stock already cut out so she picked the colors she wanted for her card. Now you have to know Emma is 4 years old. After all she is her grandmothers grand daughter and we do this often together. I do have to tell you one of her main goals in life is that she want to be able to color like grandma does. She picked out the stamps she wanted to use. They said Love You, My heart belongs to you and Thinking of you. Of course she could not read then I did have to read what they said to her but those where the ones she wanted. She also wanted the butterfly punch and the two oval punches and she did punch everything out, a little much but that is what she wanted. Oh yes and she wanted ribbon and a bow.Emma card opened outside

Now if you look at the front of the card and she was placing everything where she wanted it to be and I then put tape on the back of the card stock and she put it on the card and I might say she did pretty good.  I did help her with putting the glue on the butterflies. As we where doing this I said to her I thought you wanted to put some ribbon and a bow on the card and she looks up at me and says grandma we will have to put it inside the card. So I told her if that is what you want we will do that. So I hope you can see the ribbon and bow and she picked a little flower and was holding it in her hand because she wanted that to go with the card for mommy. I do have to say I made the bow.Emma Card This is a close up of Emma's card and I did not think to get a close up of the inside.  I feel the butterflies are going to take off with that paper any second now. We had a lot of fun doing her card and we will be doing many more. As my little artist grows up I will be sharing her art work with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy making it with her.

The Wolf

The Wolf

This card is done on Transparencies. You can buy transparencies that you can print on with your computer. You take a picture download and print it. As you can see they make beautiful cards. It is really easy. You just need to matt the back of the transparencies with a matt board. Matt boards come in all different colors, I matted the wolf with a gold matt and I used Vellum tape to tape the transparencies to the matt board. My card stock all had a metallic shine and I added some hinges and a Happy Birthday sticker. I did not want to take away from the picture. This wonderful for a mans card. This summer you could take some great pictures of your flowers and do the same thing and make a card just like this. I hope you enjoyed this.

My kids and there Easter cards

Can you believe how good they are sitting? It did not last for very long, just long enough so grandma could take some pictures and they where gone. They picked out there Easter card. Of course Aiden got the one that says "My butt hurts" and Emma wanted the one that said " I thought I saw a puddy cat". I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I just wanted to share that with you. Have a super week.

Just thought I would share this thought with you today.

Thought for the day:
Women are Angels
And when someone breaks our wings
We simply continue to fly on a broomstick
We're flexible like that ....

HappyBirthdayFlowerwithbutterflycharm

This is a birthday card I made for my sister in law. I just love the way it turned out. That is called "Tag Punch Star" it is a tutorial on splitcoast and if you click here it will bring you right to the tutorial. The star is not easy to make, I found it hard to make sure all the points line up right. I added a flower rime stone and a small rime stone in the middle for the center of the star. The blue flowers on the bottom are rime stones as well. I punched out two Ovals with Stampin' up punches and added a saying that said Happy Birthday. Some ribbon and a charm for a small gift. Have a wonderful Easter everyone!

It's always Spring Time. At the Madison Mingle.

Mingel card 2010

It’s always Spring Time. 5 1/2 by 4 ¼ Card Size Bottom layer is 3 ½ by 3 ½. Middle layer is 3 ¼ by 3 ¼. Top layer is 3 by 3. On the middle layer and the top layer I poked holes all around the card stock. Using Tim Holtz’s ruler and lining it up to the edge of the card stock and poking the holds with the paper pierce. I also have a pad in the kit for you to use to help make the piercing easier for you. The bottom layer is taped on to the card stock in an angle and so is the middle layer of card stock. I used matching card stock and stamped the butterflies on to the different colored card stock and then punched then out with Martha Stewart punch that matched the butterflies. Color inks I used are from Stampin’ up!, More Mustard, Marvelous Magenta, Night of Navy and Garden Green. I raised the top layer with pop dots and added my butterflies, just gluing then in the middle so the wings would come up a little. How to add a little something on the bottom I used two ovals from Stampin’ up! Punches Oval 1 and Oval 2 and layered then and used pop dots to raise it up from the card. The stamp I used was from The Angel Company. I did put in several stamps from other companies so if you want it to say something else it is up to you. The ink I used to stamp the words is Archival VersaFine onyx black.

You need to do directions and send a picture of your card with the directions and the girls make up binders with all the cards in then.

You have no idea how hard this card was for me to make. I find it really hard to make a simple card. I really need to work on that. I just love to put embellishments, lots of ribbon, flowers and layers. I just wanted to do so much more to the card. Like add ribbon, rime stones and much more. My friends and I go every year to the Madison Mingle, it is always in March but this year we are having it in April and we have sooooo much fun. The cost is only $45.00 for the hole week end. You need to pay for you food and room if you come up and stay. We look so much forward to this every year, this is OUR getaway. There is about 60 to 80 girls that get together and we make card all day long and it starts on Friday and lasts tell Sunday, we all make one card and bring it and everyone gets a chance to make your card so it depends on how many people come so if 50 people come you can make 50 cards and so forth. We always go up a day earlier so we do not have to rush ourselves and we stay in a Motel and get rooms that are connected. If there is anyone that lives in are around that area that would like to join us let me know, I hope there is still time to register.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #52 is Scrap it.
