~~~~THE PLAY~~~~
First of all, all of the images are from The Stamping Boutique. This was really a fun card to make. I love doing things like this. The little girls name is Audrey and she has these brothers (triplets) can you think about what her little life woulds be like having these 3 brothers that just love there sister so much and will not leave her alone and of course want to be everywhere there big sister goes and most of all there sister is in this play!!! Would you not think that they would not want to be part of that??? Of course they would... So who do you think gets to the stage first? Now AJ is the one brother that is to be on stage because he has to tell everyone about Audrey but when she comes out what does she see???? Of course who does she call for but "MOM!!! THE BOYS ARE ON THE STAGE!". But it is to late.
Now is this not a fun card?
I colored him with Copic markers, added some liquid applique put a little glitter on it and heated it so it would puff up like bubbles. Used some Glossy Accents to look like water was on the floor. Added some stickers on the background and some ribbon and a bow. Thanks for stopping by.
Happy New Year to my "Best friends"......
This is a Mo Mannings image, the image is new to me. I just love this one. I did cut the wings out twice to give a 3D look. Added a wide ribbon for the background and punched out the corners with a corner punch and the top and bottom edge on one and the side edges on the other. Added a flower and some glitter stickers I had and some snow flakes in silver. I made them for two special friends in my life. You know the one's that are always there when you need to talk to someone or just are always there for you. I colored them with copic markers. With the start of a New Year I hope they bring them happiness.
Teddy with Bells ornament
This is a digi from digital delights. I think it is sooo cute. This is my grand daughters Emma's ornament for this year. She is only 4, she love anything grandma makes. She is my biggest fan... She tells me when she grows up she wants to color just like grandma does. They grow up way to fast.
Tea bag folding Christmas Tree's
This is a fun card to make and if you like folding this is the card for you.
closer view.
3in by 3 in.
I show you each fold. So follow all the steps on the folds.
next fold.
next.
this is what the inside will look like.
will look like this.
and this.
I inside will look like.
next step.
fold to the center.
and again.
this is what the folds is.
another view.
this how you place the layers. Building the tree.
Slide the larger one under the smaller one. Then glue together.
I want to share with everyone how to make these wonderful Tea Bag Christmas Tree's. Last year I made a lot of them, and had to share with everyone, that was a card maker the instruction. I used THIN Christmas 12 by 12 sheets of craft paper. This is what it takes to make just one tree. So you can get a lot of trees out of one sheet of 12 by 12 craft paper. Cut (1) 3 by 3 inches, cut (1) 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches, cut (1) 2 by 2 inches, cut (1) 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches.
Now you are ready to start folding, if you have done tea bag folding this is going to be real easy for you, if you have not done any tea bag folding just take it slow it's really not that hard.
Step (1) OK start out with the 3 by 3, fold in half, turn paper fold in half again, done.
Step (2) fold from one corner to the other, turn paper and fold the other corner to the other, done.
Step (3) This is the tricky step hold you paper in your hand and what I do is push the folds together now it looks like + (kinda). Now if you lay it down and put the sides together you will have a triangle pointing away from you. You will have two layers of paper, take the top layer of paper and fold to the middle, there will be a fold down the middle so bring that fold to that line and do the same on the other side. Now you will have a triangle with two folds toward the middle kind of popping up. YOU DID IT!!!!!
Now do the same thing with the other (3) sizes of paper. I sure hope you understand these instructions. It not leave a message in the comment area and I will answer any question you have. Now putting the tree together. I put the tree together before I put it on the card, I started with the bottom. Remember to tuck the triangle point a little into the above layer of the tree then glue that down just the area that is under the tree add your next layer of tree and so forth. When your tree is all together now you can put it on your card only glue the back layer of the tree you want it to have a full look. Now embellish you tree anyway you want. Use Stickles glitter glue, stickers, punch out small ornaments, make it sparkle, add a tree top. If you want your tree to be bigger just add some more squares by 1/2 inches. It is all up to you.
Now let's do the dance of joy!
Today in Wisconsin it does not look like this... It would be nice. I guess it is the wrong time of the year. This digit is from The Stamping Boutique, Tracey did a wonderful job creating her. She is a little girls that you can do so much with. I could see her dancing all over the world. I colored her with copic markers. Her background I added with so many different stamps and I am sorry but these are stamps I have had for sooo many years (I unmounted almost all my stamps)and I can't remember what the company's are (sorry). I do know the tree branch on the right is from Stampscapes but that's all I know. I punched the corners to frame her in with one of Stampin up punches. Added some flower soft, and lavender glitter for her dress. Colored the hummingbird with Spica glitter pens. Punched out a tiny flower for her hair. Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoy her.
Ella and Peaches.... I have put the direction for making this "Stand Up" Card here........
This is one of Mo Manning Digi. I think this called "The Stand Up Card". It was really easy to make. Take one 12x12 sheet and cut 5 1/2 x 12. Score 2 1/4 & 2 1/4 on one side and 2 1/4 & 2 1/4 on the other side. So your middle is 4 inches. From each of the ends go up 2 1/2 inches mark the back with a pencil. On the back take your pencil and draw a line from your mark to your second score line and do that on both sides. Now you can cut those ends off. When you fold your card, the score line that is next to the front of the card fold back and the next score line folds forward. I hope you understand the instructions.
I used basic card stock and some scraps I had left over. I punched out some flowers with EK Success flower punch and put them together with some brads I had. I colored everything with Copic Markers.
Artist Trading Cards
Sunflowers and Dragonflies creative designs is have a atc challenge. I though I would play along and share a few of my atc's with you. I have been trading atc's for many of years and have a large collection of them.
On the left side my atc is called Dragonfly, to the right that one is called Flower Pot (that is the first atc I ever made) and the to the bottom is called The Cats Meow.
If you would like to check out their blog their email is http://www.sunflower-dragonflies.ca/blog/
They always have some interesting challenges. With this one they give use some information about how atc's started. I also learned from this because I did not know how they got started. First of all you never sell or buy an atc you always trade them. The size for then is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 always. They are miniature works of art. The idea of making atc's was born in 1997 by a Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He wanted to document his work, and the work of others at the conference and discovered that the cost was far to grand to print a catalogue of the 1,200 participants. Stirnemann decided to create 1,200 cards by hand so that he could distribute them to everyone who attended the art show. Everyone was encouraged to do the same and at the end of the show the atc's were traded. This was a very successful idea that rapidly spread across the world.
On the backs of atc's the artist always put their name, contact information, name of the atc and they numbered them. Like if they made 3 of the same atc they would put 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3, this way you new how many of that atc was made.
I hope you enjoyed this bit of information.
