Hello

Two weeks just fly's by… Welcome to the Scrapy Land Challenge #37. The theme for this challenge is our favorite one “Any Thing Goes”. Need to use brand of low profile or steel ruled die Scrapy Land sells. Scrapy Land has over 40 brands of dies.  You can see them all here. Please link your project back to this Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  It would also be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your project. The challenge closes on Sunday March 13, giving the Designers time to choose the Winner and the Top Three.  The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Scrapy Land store. Please limit the number of entries to five.

The embossing folder is from Sizzix called flowers and bows string set. The paper used was all pearl paper colors cream and a light peach. I had a hard time cropping these pictures as the lighting was hard to work with. It kept turning the cream color to a light green but I finally got it to work right.
Sentiment on the outside is from Hero Arts. Here is a close up of one of the arrangements. This is made with all corners and the tag in the center.
Here you can see one of the corners. Sue Wilson dies cut out really well. Here you can see I add a large cream pearl and a medium size deeper peach pearl. Sue Wilson has a lot of dies and if you would like to check then out you can look here.
The die set I used to make my card is called Sue Wilson French Collection border, corner and tag. By playing with the pieces from the set you can do so many different layout. Viva peal pen to add some pearls colors salmon and cream.
The inside I used the border die and that die is 7 1/2 inches long the corners. For the sentiment and the is from Stampin up Feel Good stamp set and it is only one of the stamps. Used white embossing power with Versa Mark ink and heat set the power to add the sentiment, do you know if they make a cream embossing power? Never thought about it tell now. Used Creative Memories punch for the corners on the sentiment.
I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by, love to hear your comments on the card. Have a wonderful week. Have to tell you as of yesterday the temp here was 63 degrees and we had had no snow and today we got 5 inches of snow, really pretty all beautiful white but by the week end it is going to be near 50 degrees again. This is why we live in Wisconsin you can wake up in the morning and it can be 70 degrees and by night you can get snow. You never know what the weather is going to be. Only in Wisconsin you can have 3 seasons in one day.

A Life's Journey

Hello, Our challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge has started and the theme for this week is Anything Goes with the twist of Anything Goes. Stop by and see what the girls have created, everyone did an awesome job with their card. The images I used are from make it crafty they are called sailing leaf and Notti. I merged the two images together. My papers are from my scraps box.  Burnished around the edges using Brilliance ink color Mediterranean blue and lavender.
http://www.makeitcrafty.com/
I colored the background with pearlesent and shimmer chalks, I used one set was jewel tones and the other was shimmers. Made by pebblesinc. After I was done with the chalks I sprayed my art paper with blair fix #105 very low odor matte fixative to make sure I would have no smudging. Stickles glitter glue color firefly. Diamond glaze to give a water effect. Sprayed extra silver spray glitter from flora crafts. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.
The die cuts I used are spellbinders nestabilities labels 10.

Add some glass colored leafs  on a string of green pearls. This was a fun card to make and the fantasy of the card even made it more fun.
Cherry Lynn designs exotic butterfly small.

Memory box delicate vine. Punch was from punch a bunch called flower #2 for the mini flowers used yellow and lilac sparkle paper then added pearl pen ink color lilac.

These are the copic markers I used to color the images. Here is a close up of the images.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Hope you enjoyed my card.

Little bIt of Magic

The challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday has started today. My card was so much fun to make. I love doing cards like this. The twist for this week is to add Lace, Ribbon or Twine to your card or project. Stop by and check out the other designer cards. Our sponsor for the month of February Is
 Make it Crafty
The images I choose to use for my card are Sapphire Sitting Fairy image and Stairway to Heaven
image. My images are from Make it Crafty.
Here is a side view of what the Triple Easel card looks like. It is not hard to make. The paper I used for my background is from Stitchy Stamps it is one of their paper pack that they sell called Garden Fairies Meadow Paper. So I printed it out on my computer. I did cut it a little larger them the right size but I did not want to cute the tree down any more.
The Stairway I tried to make it look like water was running down so I used colors BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10. I add some White Liquid Appliqué and heated it so it would puff up a little. I also put some Diamond Glaze to give it some shine. For the Ivy on the gates the color I used G85, G82, G21. I added some stickles glitter glue star dust and yellow. I wanted something to make the gate a little stronger so I cut a small piece of Transparency and glued it to the back.

Here is a little closer look.

Now for Sapphire I used R85, R83, R81. Skin E50 E00. Belt and Trim Y15, Y13, Y11, Hair C9, C7, C5. Eyes E35, Wings BG10 and some Sticklers glitter glue Star dust. I add a strip for the front area for her to sit on because I made to just a little to big for the front panel and I do not remember what the name and who makes that strip :( sorry. I used some glitter brads and also some Stampendous sticklers for the middle of the flowers. To finish my card off I added a bow.
How to make a Triple Easel Card. I used Martha Stewart score it. Here are the measurements, I used tin paper but you would want to used a good card stock for your frame.
Cut 1- 5 1/2 x 11
Cut 3- 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
Score 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 Yellow large easel
Score 2 3/4 and 1 3/8 pink, purple small easel
The 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 you will set a side.

I did them in colors so you will be able to see each layer.

The yellow larger of the papers, CUT 5 1/2 by 11 now score it at 5 1/2 and score it at 2 3/4.

Now the pink paper.
Measurements for the pink paper are score at 2 3/4 and score again at 1 3/8. Fold toward the inside of the card.

This is how the yellow and pink look as far as size.
Measurements for the purple are score 2 3/4 and score again at 1 3/8. Fold toward the inside of the card.

Green paper is for the back of the card.
I hope this helps with the different papers. It is just a matter of cutting your papers and scoring them at the right spot. This is how the placement of the papers will go.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Any questions let me know.

You are my Sunshine

Good morning everyone! Hope you have lots of sunshine. The sun is shining beautiful today her in Wisconsin. We have another challenge for you over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and for this week the twist is show some love. Our sponsor for the month of February is Make it Crafty and the image I choose to use is call Aleisha.
Cut out a 5” circle with black card stock, cut out in white card stock the Cherry Lyn designs Doily English tea party die then cut the image out with spellbinders exquisite circles.  Adding some Pearl pen color yellow.
The lace is from Wild Orchid crafts. The pearls I have had. I sponged around the exquisite circle die cut with brilliance sunflower yellow ink. My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.
The Orchid is from Cherry Lyn designs B280. I tried to add some color to the Orchid somewhat like my real ones I had in the yellows but it did not turn out quite the same.
For the inside used a EK success punch called Swiss cheese. Applied  some 1/2”  scor-tape behind the circles then applied some clear glitter so it would become sparkly. With the clear glitter it would pick up the color of the  paper behind it.
These are the copic markers I used to color the image. Here is a close up of the image.
I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by.
