Spring into Happiness
Happy Thursday to everyone, it is so pretty out side here in South Eastern Wisconsin, it is snowing and the weather man calls it a Alberta Clipper, it’s the kind of snow that sticks to the trees and when the sun come out it is breath taking because it sparkles. When it is all done the weather man says we should have 6 inches our biggest snow fall for this year. Unbelievable we live in Wisconsin this is like nothing. I do enjoy the snow and my grand kids are so happy they can build a real snowman. Over at Digital Delight we are having a Delightful Spring Release so you can seeing all the new spring images. The images I used for my card are Flower Power Daisy, Egg Tree and Spring Sentiments.
The card I made for this release is called a WHIPPER CARD if you would like to make one here are the directions. It is a fun card to make on the top you can see another sentiment when you move the card that sentiment goes up and down. I cut both images out with The Silhouette Cameo. Created the background with distress inks by sponging the inks. Colors tumbled glass, chipped sapphire, stormy sky, bundled sage, peeled paint and wild honey.
Used some pearl pen light blue and bronze for the middle of the border flowers. The border punch is Martha Steward called flower lace edger. The papers used are from The Paper studio and Bazzil Basic.
This is somewhat of a top view. Added Stickles color waterfalls
The card does lay flat and you can tuck the whipper inside the back. The card is 9 inches by 5 1 /2 long.
These are the copic markers used to color the image.
The egg tree is all done in glitter. The butterfly is from Wild Orchid Crafts, to make it stand up I glued it to a piece of bendable plastic and them applied it to the background so it would stand up. Added some pearl pen color ice pearl.
In the center of the flowers I added Beadazzle by Suze Weinberg’s called tango. I tried to find a link for her beadazzles, I know she worked for Ranger but could not find any thing. These little beadz last forever.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

The paper I used is from A Mused studio and I added a red heart doily. I know this is cards for men but I’m pretty sure this would work for a guys card. Their was all kinds of hearts around the image so I thought I would add some gem hearts but I do think it is a little much but Emma my granddaughter will love it anything that sparkles.
Sorry the sentiment is a digi and I do not know where I got it from.
Added some Liquid Applique (white) to the ice cream to try and give a whip cream look on it.
This is what I did to the inside. The heart is felt.
These are the copic markers used to color the image.

Christmas Tree
As you can see I made a Christmas card this time. A friend and I made a New Year resolutions that we would try and get one Christmas card done each month this year so this is my second one. This card I made for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and the twist for this week is to make a card that has SOMETHING WITH WHEELS. My image is from Teddy Bo and it has a number #148.
This card is pretty simple, nothing really fancy. The papers is from some of the Christmas scraps. I did do some stitching on the card and distressed the edges. The Christmas trees is some ribbon I had left over and added some red metal dots to each of the corners.
Also added a red ribbon and made a bow.
On the inside memory box die called delicate vine and the corners are from dies from SCACD. I did not add any sentiment, thought I would wait tell it is closer to Christmas before I would add something but I could stamp something or write a message.
These are the copic markers I used to color my image.
So glad you stopped by. January sure went by fast. The start of February and about 6 more week and the start of spring, that sure sound good. Have a wonderful week end. If you get a chance have a great week end creating.

We are starting our Card For Men challenge #2 and it is all about ANY KIND OF TRANSPORTANTION so let's see all your ideas. Our sponsor is Meljen's Designs and the prize is 4 digi images. The image I used is called PUPPY PILOT. I do hope you enjoy my card this was a different and fun card to make. I made this for my grandson birthday and her just loved it. He thought it was so much fun and I loved the way he laughed and gave me a hug and said this is awesome grandma.

I found all this stuff together in a box and I wanted to do something a little different so this is what I came up with. Paper pieced the airplane. The paper is from Paper Studio. The buttons, round fabric brads and ribbon paper clips are from spare parts from Hobby Lobby.
Used spellbinder lattice rectangles to cut out the image. Punch out some silver paper with Marvy Uchida star punch. Used a corner rounder on the edges.
Used some scrappers floss color sky blue. Had some ribbon that looked like fur from Michaels. Burnish around the edges with brilliance ink color sky blue. Added some diamond glaze and liquid pearls.
Found a mini airplane from Fiskars and added this to the inside of the card. Area left open for a message or a sentiment.
These are the copic markers used to color the image. Close up of the image.
Thanks for stopping by. It really means a lot to me and I love all the wonderful comments.
