I made these Prayer cards for my Mother-in-law. These are images from The Stamping Boutique. I merged the praying hands together with the recipes cards. I was surprise it worked and I was really glad it did because I had promised my mother-in-law I would make her some prayer cards. She visits a lot of sick people and leaves notes of encouragement with them. What I did with the other image is I had a Stampendous stamp for writing in scrapbooks (I'm not a Scrapbook person) so I used the stamp and masked around the image, to give her some place to write her messages. I tried to add just a touch of color (copics). I mailed then to her on Monday so I hope she likes then. I did not know what one I like the best so I thought I would let her choose and I can make her more for her friends.

SHeeee I'm pretening I'm a bummy....... Don't tell anyone.
I did this awhile ago for a Sketch challenge and did not get it uploaded, so I thought I would like to share it with you. It is one of Sassy Cheryl images. I have just found her site and she has the most ADORABLE images. So I had to buy several of them and this was the first one I did, now she released some more new ones and I had to go back and get some more, they are so cute, precious and I could go on and on images. If you have not been to her site you need to check them out here. She is on PCP. To my SURPRISE I went over to Sassy Cheryl's blog and posted my card to share with the girls and they are having a Challenge and the Challenge is GREEN and it ends on Monday. So my card fit right into there challenge. I'm so happy, because you can win more of Sassy Cheryl images and I want some more of them and it would be great if I would win.
My images is called "Pretend Bunny" and I colored it with copic markers. I punched out some flowers and greenery, then added the flowers and layered my card to the sketch challenge I made it for. I also cute out her image with one of my Nestabilities. I hope you enjoy my card. Have a wonderful week end.

Comes in all kinds of colors.....
I did it, I did it! This time I did not wait to upload my card. It might take me a couple of times to learn, but I did it. Just for you Stef... This is for Stef Challenge at Squigglely. It started Feb 25th and ends Mar. 11th, so there is still time if you would like to join us. The colors are RED, PINK AND GREEN. I named my card They come in all colors. I colored everything with copic markers. I layered my card stock. Punched the edges out with one of Martha Steward border punches. I tried one Daisyd's it is like a tape runner for the edges and it looks likes like a zig zag stitch, personal I'm not to sure on that yet. I also tried a rub on by Bling it on made by Basic Grey, that is the two flowers with the rime stones. Cost was not a lot. I thought it turned out really nice. Thanks for stopping by.

Aiden My Engineer...
Happy Monday and March to everyone! I hope everyone had a great week end and are ready to take on the coming week. I had wonderful week end. We took Aiden and Emma Ice Skating for the first time. Of course I took all kind of pictures. Grandma watched. They loved every minute. Now they have what is called a bucket you take with you. This is there first time on skates. They did not have buckets when I was little. I loved to ice skate, we lived right next to the ice rink when I was growning up. My son and my daughter-in-law really did a wonderful job.
The challenge for The Cards for Men this time is Paper Piecing. The sponsor this month is The Stamping Boutique. If you would like to see any of there images click here and check them out. You need to go to Card For Men and sign up with Mr Linky and you can do that by clicking here. Once you do that your card is do March 14. You have a chance to win some of Traceys wonderful (5) images or (3) rubber stamps at The Stamping Boutique. That is a wonderful gift. The images I used is "Train" and "AJ the Engineer". Also ABC Challenges is having a challenge for Paper Piecing. If you would like to check what is going on over there click here.
I used a scrapbook paper I found that looked like an out door scene and lined up my image "train" to print where I wanted it to print. I printed it out several times on different colors of paper and cut the pieces of the track out and the train and glued them over the printed areas. I did the same with the "engineer". I did go over the colored paper with some of my copic markers to give the colors a little shading. I used Gelly Roll Pens and At You Spica Pens to give a little sparkle. I also sprayed some glitter spray from Flora Craft. The punched out the bottom border with Martha Steward train punch. Used a RR Sign, butterfly sticker and the 3D train on the top was a sticker also. I add to really small buttons to Aiden pants. The Raccoon is a button.
I hope you enjoy my card. Have a wonderful week.

Card size is 7 inches long and 4inches wide. I used my Scor-Pal and score 1 inch and 1 inch on each side. Punched out some of my greens with McGill and Marvy Uchida (blue) punch. I did use a few stickers. I colored my foam flowers with copic marker Y11 and added some Stickels yellow, orange, red, green, eucalyptus, copper and cinnamon. Used bubble beads in background. Seed beads for gravel in aquarinm. I also cut Fawn and the egg out and made then 3D. Now after all of that I bet you want to get out of here and that would be to AMBER so click on her name.

Links that form a chain of love. The Beauty that only God knows...
I just love doing cards like these. The ways of nature are endless and the beauty is everywhere and it is in all the way we can express it on paper. I thought I would share then with you. Look at your card and see where you are going to want your focal point, that is going to be you lightest area where your eye will look first. It is a good idea to have your card size a little bigger because when you are all done you will want to trim the edges of your card, gives it a clean finish. I used sponges on these cards. Always start with your lightest colors, blending softly, mostly take your time and get a good blend to the colors and then go on to your next colors just a little darker working toward your darkest color. Add your finishing touches the many different types grasses, tree branch, a silhouette. Any dye base ink works fine. This was done on matte paper. If you have a question let me know.
