Over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our challenge has started and for this week we are doing MASCULINE cards. I do hope you join us. The challenge ends February 15 and you need to tag your card with TT020912 when you enter. I’m looking forward in seeing all the wonderful creations. I have not done scenery card in awhile and I have been wanting to do some. The design of my card is something I created, I was having problems with some of the other fold cards in keeping them to stay standing. I’m happy with the one I created because it stands up real good. I’m not quite done with it because I need to do something for the front and when I have that all figured out I will share the how to make this card with you so until then I will show you what I did in the inside.

My card is kind of flat here. I did mask some things. I created my scene with several brilliance inks (you can use all kinds of dye base inks) This is on matt paper. It is important to make sure all your inks are dry before you add any other inks. I used a lot of different stamps and I did touch the memento tuxedo black ink with some white ink to put in some highlights.

If you apply any ink over the mementos ink MAKE SURE IT IS DRY because if it is not you are going to smear the black ink and you do not want to do that..

Hope everyone is safe and warm. Maybe some new challenge at Color Me Creative Copic challenge will make us a bit warmth. The challenge is "Colors of Love". In the background I used a heart doily. I cut my image out with a Spellbinder called Lucey Circles. Added some pink gems, xmas Red stickles and star dust stickles. I did paper pieced the heart. Martha Steward Chain Trim punch. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. My ribbon is from my scraps.

With Love

I hope you have been having a wonderful week. Things here in Wisconsin have been really nice so far no snow and the temps are going to be in the 40’s and 50’s. Happy Groundhog Day, last year at this time we got 19.5 inches of new snow and I’m really that we did not get any of that kind of snow today. At The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge that starts today our theme is Valentine’s/Love and when you join us you need to tag your card with TT020212 and enter it in the inlinkz. The challenge ends on February 7, 2012.

Here is a side view. The two images are from Mo Manning, they are called With Love Boy and With Love. My sentiment is from Sentiment 4 you. Used Stampin up punch called Pinking Hearts Border. Distress all the edges with Distress ink called Weathered Wood. All the paper I used was from my scrapes. Found some lace, 3 buttons and ribbon.

I did cut the boy out and his scraps of papers so I mounted with foam tape. Also distress most of the edges. Add glitter to each of the hearts boys peach color and the girl pink color.

I add two of Mo Manning images, one is Boy Who me? and the other one is Snowman. I also used the sentiment from Boss Art it is in the set called snowflake seal set. After I colored the images and was looking at them I started to laugh… When my boys where young I could see them standing in the back yard doing this, looking around making sure no one is watching because you see that Cardinal sitting on the branch I could see one of my boys and I have 3 trying to hit that pour bird with the snow ball.. He knows he would get in trouble so he would make sure no one is watching.

I used some of my Styrofoam fluff I make for the snow. Some metal red dots, Twine red, brilliance ink Sky Blue, and the card stock is from DCWV.

We are back at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday with our challenge and for this week we have ANYTHING GOES WITH…THE COLOR RED. Challenge ends on January 31 and you need to tag it TT012612. I colored my image with Prisma Colored Pencils because at the Twisted Thursday we have a mixed medium, so you can use a little of copics and pencils or what ever you want to color with. I also used Shimmerz colors candle light, sunny, angel wings, fire engine red, opal and Carmel. My stamped image is from Sylvia Zet and her name is Loli and Shellie.

The ribbon I used is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The background I sponged with Brilliance sky blue. The button and the ribbon with the flower are from Spare Parts from The Paper Studio that I got at Hobby Lobby. I hope you can join us it would be nice to see your card.

I used my Spellbinder Fleurde Lis Rectangles for cutting out my image. I printed my image out on Neenah classic crest smooth. For the snowflakes I used medium punch from Punch a Bunch. Aleene’s True Snow, Diamond glaze, Diamond dust, Brilliance ink Ice Blue and some snow I add to the ice cube.

Sending Love Across The Miles

It is time for The Outlaws Twisted Thursday Challenge that started today and ends on January 24, 2012. The challenge is all about Birthdays. We would love for you to join us. I made my card for my niece Debbie her birthday is on January 27 so I need to get it sent out right away she lives in California. This is my last birthday this month. The stamp I used is a set of Victoria Case. Birthday Wishes is from Sentiment for U and the Sending love across is a digi from Digital delight. The dies I used are from Memories Box one is called Catalina Border and the other is called Floral Circle. I add some pearls with the Pearl Pen color Gold. Used some Stickles glitter glue color gold and add some blue gems. I sponged around my image with Distress ink color scattered straw.

I did use copic markers but I added some prisma colored pencils also. These are the copic I used. I did not take a picture of the prisma colored pencils I used.

Not such a good week-end.. Green Bay Packers did not do well on the game on Sunday, so sad for them. They had such a great season only loosing 1 game this year and I’m so proud of them. I’m a true Packer Fan, win or lose I will stand behind then. That how we Wisconsin people feel. I do know we have a lot of Fans out their from all over the US and we are happy to have you. We are having our first snow storm for this year today. It sure looks pretty outside with the big snowflakes but I have to be honest I have not missed the snow at all. We normally get snow around the first of December so we have been real lucky this year. Over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge for this week it is FRIENDSHIP. I have had this stamp set for a long time and I finally got a chance to use it, it is called just the two of us by Sheena Dauglass at Crafters Companion. I stamped all the stamps with memento tuxedo black on Crygoen paper and I have to be honest I do not think that is the best paper for using Prisma Colored Pencils because I did have some problems with my pencils on the paper so I think I will keep it for my copics. I can’t wait to color my stamp set with my copics. I punched out the sentiment with 1.75” scalloped punch. Added some distress ink around the edges dusty concord. I did cut out the clouds and added some Styrofoam Fluff. Put diamond glaze on the bottle, added some shells, ribbon. If you should join us you need to tag you card TT011212.

Hot Pink girl

We are up and running with our Color Me Creative Challenge #34 and for the challenge we are doing Retro Fun in Hot Pink/Black/White. Challenge ends January 19th 8:00pm. These are the copic markers I used to color my image. I wanted to try coloring her with a tie dye patterns. This is my first time trying that. Suzanne teaches how to color and make Tie Dye Patterns in her New Color Me Creative Class #5. I used my copic Multiliner SP 0.3 pink and 0.3 wine and the Spica Blossom and Pink. My Peace Sign Stamp is from Raisin Boat. I used Memento Dual Markers and applied the colors to the stamp, colors Rose Bud, Angel Pink and Lilac Posies. Then punches it out with a scalloped I had.

I used my Spellbinder Mega Ovals Large to cut Danni out and used the size up to add a ring around her and then added some Brilliance Coral ink to highlight everything. The large flowers I had in my stash.

She was fun to do and the Tie Dye was fun to learn. Their are other patterns I would like to try. Thanks for stopping by.

Framed in Flowers

Good morning everyone. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday. For some reason I just can’t sleep tonight so I thought I would get this uploaded know and them I would not have to do it in the morning. Over at The Outlawz at Twisted Thursday challenge for this week The challenge is create a card with die cuts and punches. How fun is that?? Stop by and check out all the card the design team made the girls out did themselves again. Then you can read what you have to do when you want to enter your card. I would love to see what you come up with.
The hardest part is trying to think of what to do. I know we all have so many punches and all these wonderful die cuts. Trying to be a little different. First I embossed my top layer of pearl paper color peach with Tim holtz alterations Bricked folder. I used one of the new Distress inks color ripe persimmon and applied it with a sponged all over the brick and it did highlight the the brick area.
Now to make the frame used Spellbinder Fleur De Lis square the largest one. Spellbinders classic squares used the second larges and the next one down and taped with removable tape so they will not move and run them though my Big Shot. After that I had three pieces so I glued down the Fleur De Lis first then added some mounting foam to the small frame and centered it and I though it looked better with the pearl white in the back so I glued that down. I hope you understand that.
For the greens used Cherry lynn Tropic Flourish and Martha Steward Branch.

For the flowers Nellie Snellen flower FLP02, and The mini flower is from Punch a Bunch. For the corner used stamp’in up Ticket corner.

Added the Pearl pen in the center of the flowers colors Salmon, Sunny Yellow and Lilac. Put some ribbon from my stash on the card was going to put a bow but I really did not think it need it. I do hope you like my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. I do hope you give the framed card a try it really was not had to do and you can use any kind of your Spellbinders that you have as long as you have one that will fit in the middle so you can make a frame and just pop it up.

We are Recycling at Card for Men

Starting 2012 out right, our Challenge #1 at Cards for Men is “RECYCLING”.
These were Frappuccino bottles that you can buy at the store. They look like this after you drink the Frappuccino and most people put them in the garbage. I save mine because you can put so many things in them and give them as gifts.

I really can’t tell you how I cover the carton because I just measure it and cut out what I need and glue the card stock. The Paper I used is from DCWV The at home stack. Cut 1.50 inch strips about 10 inches long to go around the bottles, I used Martha Steward linked trim to go on top of the strips and weaved gold or blue ribbon in and out of each linked trim. The circles punch out 2 for each bottle are Stamp’in up 1.75 inch, and the scalloped punch out 2 for each bottle is 1.50 inch. Used .25 inch ribbon to go a round the bottle caps. I add the Fleur De Lis, I had them in my stash. They both where charms but I filed off the loop on the ones I add to the scalloped circle. I thought they would work nice because our last name is St Martin.

This is what I did to the tops. These work so nice for gifts because you can add different kinds of candy, bath salts, sewing things, put felt in the bottom and use them to hold all kinds of things. Just depends on how you decorate the bottles. If you give them a try let me know I would love to see what you do.

New Colors for COPIC, Have you seen the New Colors?

Winter Wishes

Hello to all my friends. I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and received all kinds of goodies from Santa. I hope everyone is looking forward to a brand New Year in 2012. Have you made your New Year resolutions yet? Starting next year what I want to do is enter my cards in more challenges. That is something I really do not like to do because to me it takes to much time and I never win anything anyways.
We have a new challenge going on at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and it is starting today it is ANYTHING GOES OR MY FAVORITE THING AND STRIPES. The challenge ends on January 3, 2012. We would love to see what you come up with. You should stop by and see what the design team has made, everyone has out done themselves again.
This is a stamp from Heartfelt Creations it is called Cardinal Pine Cone Border stamp. I also have the die cut set of the birds but I love how the birds turned out so I did not use it. I took out my Birds and Blooms Magazine and tried to copy the coloring from that but I do say the female cardinal was the hardest to color. I did use some copic marker and prisma colored pencils. Brilliance sky blue ink I sponged around the birds and over the large snowflakes that is a Martha Steward punch called sky land snowflake. The snowflakes I have on top is a punch from Punch a Bunch. Not sure if you can tell I used Smooch Illuminate color to give the sky land snowflake some shimmer. Added some Pearl Pen color light green around the half circles.
Here is a closer look. I applied diamond glaze by Judi Kin’s, Aleene’s snow and some stickles glitter glue by Ranger color star dust to the needles. Added some stickles glitter glue color cinnamon on the pine cones. Used my Epiphany Craft and the bubble caps size #25 and #14 to add embellishments with some of the strip paper and finished it off with some ribbon.

Snowmen fall from Heaven

Happy First day of winter.. to all my friends. This card is just perfect to post on that day. Do you think??? The Outlawz Twisted Thursday has a challenge going on right now and it is to make a card with a snowmen and have lots of glitter. I made a side step card and here are the directions. I colored my snowmen with Prisma Color Pencils. I also did some paper piecing on him. My paper is from DCWV Winter Collection. The images I used are all from Digital Delight called, Flurry the pattern snowman, North Pole sign, Postcard and Stamp1. The sentiments used are all from The Angel Company. Burnish everything and stamped with Brilliance ink Jade color. I found some snowmen ribbon I had.

I had several of you ask me about the white stuff I used on another card and I used it on this one so I wanted to share it with you. I really like it, you need to use a paint brush to put it on and it does wash out with water and it dries real fast. I did find it on line so here is the link if you are wanting to buy it. You do not need to just use it on Christmas cards you can use it on your winter cards and I could see it being used for a bubble bath. I also put my own sparkles on top if the snow before it dries.

Merry Merry Christmas

I made this card for someone that came into my life sometime around August of 2010. Her name is Suzanne Dean, she is a special lady. I remember when I first met her. I was so excited, I found someone that new about copic markers. I was one of those people that went out and picked out the colors because I liked the color. I new nothing about the letters and the numbers or anything else about copic.

She had talked about starting her classes and at Color Me Creative she started talking about having challenges. The first challenge Suzanne had was “grass”. Now Color Me Creative we are on Challenge #33. To me Suzanne is very special person. All of us girls that are on the DT wanted to something special for Suzanne. Just because she is so special to us and sometimes it is hard to tell someone, so we wanted to show her. So we (all 17 of us) worked together and set up a blog roll starting on the 15th of December and the last posting will be on December 23rd. Each of us then mails our card to her so she should receive something from us each day almost up to Christmas. For all the people that do not know Suzanne is a very loving, kind, caring, way too much fun to be with. I’m so happy to have you as my friend. I know… STOP IT…… Love you my friend.

Santa

This is the last week end before Christmas. We got a little dusting of snow this morning when we got out of bed and it did stay on the grass but by the afternoon it was all ready melting. So not sure if we will have any snow for Christmas. I finished this card the other day and I wrote everything down and now I can’t fine my paper I wrote with on. So I will try my best. The card size is 5 by 5 and used Martha Steward snowflake punch around punches. This is a Prairie Fairy image and is called Santa and the deer. The sentiment is from MMD circle plate digi stamp. I cut out my image using the spellbinder rectangle and them I cut out two more times using the rectangle to make the frame.
Here is a close up of Santa. I did use my copic markers. I also added some of my Styrofoam fluff in white with some glitter in it for Santa’s sleeves, hat and jacket. I also added some crystal snow to the branches and the ground.

Christmas Joy

Hope everyone has had a great week and is almost finish with their Christmas shopping. This is the time of year I like to stay out of the stores. It is really crazy out their. So I lit my fingers do the walking. Time this year has gone by so fast and I say that every year. Remember when you where a child, waiting on a Saturday for something you have planned with your friends and if seam like time took forever. So many things we did not know then. Even waiting for Santa and you thought he was never coming and that was for just one day and now we are talking about years!!!
We are starting a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, I do have to say the DT’s have more then out done themselves for this challenge you need to stop by and see all the wonderful cards and if you do please leave some love for all the girls. The challenge is GATEFOLD/HOLIDAY THEME. Their are all kinds of Gatefold cards here is one from Splitcoast stampers so if you would like to join us we would love to see your card. The challenge ends December 21, 2011.
This is the front of my card. Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents, I used two of the dies from that set. I also used Aleene glitter snow. I’m sorry it looks a little messy but some how when I was gluing the medallion in the middle the glue smeared on the left side and it did not look so good and that was the last thing to do. So what can I do??? But cover it up, so that is why the glitter snow is their. The sentiment stamp is from The Angel Company. The tag is punched out with Stampin’up Large and Extra Large tag punches. Used 1/16” hand punch from McGill’s to make a hold for the thread on the tag.

Here is a picture of it opening. I rounded all the edges wit the Zutter 1/2 inch corner rounder. I really like the Zutter because it will round pretty much any thickness. My paper is from Holiday Collection from DCWV. I used a sticker for the Merry Christmas and that is from Stampendous.

Here is the close up of an image from Mo Manning called Christmas Fairy Holly. I colored her with Prisma Colored Pencils. Burnish around the edges with Brilliance Pearlescent ink color Line. Spellbinder die is Fleurde Lis Rectangles. Add some Pearl Pen in Pearl White and Red.

Golden Christmas brings Holiday Joy

My image is from Leaves of time. It is one of their Vintage images. I cut it out with my spellbinders grand labels #23. I rounded all the corners with Fiskars corner rounder. Ribbon is cream and has gold writing. Distressed the edges with distress ink antique linen. My card stock I used is a Pearl cream. The next two layered are from DWCV Holiday paper Package. I used for the corner the punch from Punch a Bunch called corner star and added the stars to look like they are falling down. What she is standing on is Stampin”up Champagne glass glitter. For the flowers I used the mini and small flower punch and the Branch punch from Martha Steward. Pearl Pen color ice white, spica color gold, gold glitter, beedz glass embellishment gold, ice stickles glitter glue.

Season’s Greeting

I have a few more Christmas cards I made for this year. I want to share with you and about done for the year making my cards. It’s kind of sad because because it sure went by fast and I guess I’m not tired of making my cards yet. This one was a little work but I just love how it turned out. I thought I would use the tree with a image but by the time I was done it fit on a standard card and I didn't want anything to take away from the tree. The paper is from DCWV 12 x 12 pack. I put in the background 1 1/2 inch snowflake ribbon over the paper and I had some more ribbon in my never-ending Christmas stash. I used all kinds of gems and a few glitter snowflakes.

Here is a side view. I used three sizes of punches mini, medium and large. The punch I used is the Sunflower from Punch a Bunch. I a lot of times get my punches from Scrappily Ever After, because she has a lot of punches. I can’t tell you how many times I punched each flower out but it was a lot and I folded them in half and glued the to a triangle I made.

I did add some crystal snow to the front to give it some more sparkle. Yes I would make another one. I do hope you like my tree. Have great week end. Emma is helping me so I can get this done real fast so we can go and make some snowman ornaments. So bye for now.

Make an Ornament Challenge

Over at The Outlawz Thursday Twisted Challenge is “TO MAKE AN ORNAMENT”. These were kind of last minute ones. I found these tiny bags in with some of Christmas stuff. They are only 2.50” by 1.50” of course I thought how cute these would be as an ornament. The stamps are all from Great impressions. Punched out with the pink leaver Marvy Uchida. I found some Christmas tissue paper. Used some Christmas Tree ribbon and some 1/8” red ribbon to hang from the tree. I had some red Merry Christmas sentiments. That is all it took.

This is the one I had planned to make. Angel for this year. I made some last year and my granddaughter loved them so much I was going to make her another one for this year.

I did color my images with copic markers. The first picture is for the stocking with the green bow and the second one is for the stocking with the red bow. I also used Spica Pens colors red, olive, gold, baby blue and melon.

My images are from Leaves of Time, these are free images calls the image Dec98c. I love their images because they have a vintage look and I think they are stunning. I distress the edges with Vintage Photo ink. I also tried to make the background look like a quilt so I sewed around all the blocks. I cut the stocking out with Spellbinders labels #10. Red gems and green gems. My flowers I made with a loom I made for myself.

Sleigh Ornament

I hope everyone is having a great week end. We have another challenge going on at The Outlaws, Paper a la Mode Challenge. So you need to create a Holiday Tree Ornament Project and the challenge ends Dec. 9th. My sleigh is a Sizzix die so all I do is cut it out first with cereal boxes and them I cut it out with Christmas paper and glue them together and assemble. You can fill the sleigh with what ever you would like and they make great ornaments.

Warm and Cozy

Over at The Outlawz for Twisted Thursday we have a new Challenge going on called “All Wrapped Up”, this is a recipe card you need to have bright Christmas paper, a Tag, Ribbon or Bow. Ends December 7th. You need to color you image with mixed medium. I colored my image with Prisma Color Pencils. My image is from Sugar Nellie called “Warm Winter Wishes”. For my shopping bag with the tag that is a die cut from Taylors Expressions, most of their dies you can get stamp set to match their die cuts. Behind the shopping bag I cut out Bangle Chain Trim from Martha Steward. The flowers on the bag I used a petal mini punch and mini snowflake from Bunch a Bunch. The Spellbinders Labels 1 to cut out my image. The tiny Merry Christmas stamp is from The Angel Company. The Christmas trees is ribbon that my wonderful sister in law Georgianna from Texas sent me and I just love them.

Just a side view. I added some snow flakes from tim a tree sections of Hobby Lobby. I almost forgot added some Styrofoam Fluff that I made to the Penguin hat.

Joy of Christmas

Hope everyone had a nice week end. Mine was very nice. Their was 8 of us all girls friends that got together on Sunday at 11:00am and we made Christmas card all day long, I did not get home until about 11:30pm we had a great time. It was a great day and had lots of fun.
This is my card I made for the Card For Man challenge. I used Whimsie Doodles images called “reindeer range” and “deer friend”. The stamped sentiment “Merry Christmas” I used is from Rubbernecker. The challenge is FANCY FOLDS. I did for my card what is called “Stair Step Fold Card” and you can fine the tutorial here.

I cut out a couple of tree’s from my Spellbinder die cut. I was inspired by some of my stickers that I found and thought they are so perfect for this card. The Penguins and the candy canes are from Recollections Dimensional. Diamond Dust for some snow from Flora Craft. Punch is called Linked Trim from Martha Steward. I burnish the edges with Brilliance with Brilliance sky blue and stamped the sentiment with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue.

I did color my images with copic markers. I also found some ribbon I had that had some Penguins on it so I woven it in and out on the punched linked trim and that is how it turned out (Not sure if I said that right).

Cold Outside

We have started our weekly challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and for the week it all about Shapes and Snowflakes. Remember for this challenge you can use prisma pencils and/or other mediums of your choice including alcohol ink markers such as Copics and Promarker. However there is a twist, you are only allowed to have 50 percent alcohol inks on your images.
Other mediums can be anything from dye inks, distress inks, chalks, heat embossing, water colored pencils, crayons, etc. Prisma's can be ANY colored pencil, it doesn't have to be the Prisma color brand. This week we would like you to create a different shaped card (no standard 4.5 x 5.5 sized cards). AND for a twist we want you to include at least one snowflake on your project. Challenge ends on November 23.

Now for my card I really do not know of their is a name for my card. I have been calling it a stand up card. I do not know where I got the pattern but it is very simple. My two images are from Mo Manning and they are called Christmas Lamp and Charlie Caroling. The paper I used is from Die Cuts with a View. Sentiment stamp is from Great Impressions. Snowflakes are from the trim a tree sections of Hobby Lobby.

This is how I close the card up. I punched out a band with Martha Steward punch and slide it up the bottom so it holds the card closed. When the card is closed the size is 6.50 X 4.25. I hope you join us at Twisted Thursday over at the Outlawz. Have a wonderful week end.

A Origami Christmas Tree Tutorial

Before I get into the tutorial I made this card for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge that started yesterday. The challenge is FANCY FOLDS, it ends next Wednesday November 9th so if you can join us we would love to see your card. Some crafters may not know what origami means so I’m going to tell you, The Japanese art of folding paper to form flowers, animals, ect.

Here is a close up of the tree. So I do hope these help for reference if you need to look at something. I have broken it down for each step.
The paper sizes, for 1 tree you only need to cut one of each square, starting from the bottom 3.5” x 3.5”, 3” x 3”, 2.5” x 2.5”, 2” x 2”, 1.5” x 1.5”, 1” x 1”.

At this point you have folded your paper in quarters.

This is the one that is a little tricky and it was hard to take a picture it only one hand. You need to use two hands and push in on the middle, I hope you can see that I’m doing that

until you have a triangle, you want to make sure all the folds match and when you open the paper it will look like the one on the right.

Putting you finger at the tip and fold the one side into the middle then turn and fold the other side into the the middle so the match.

This is the finish bottom layer.

Here I want to show you the placement of the finish layers. You always add the layers under the layer above. So just add a little glue to the top of the bottom tree and insert the tree. Do not glue any other parts of the tree down as you want the tree to be full. You can now glue or tape your tree to your card.

You can make your tree with solid card stock and decorate it with all kinds of small things. Use different patterns or just use one pattern. It is your tree lets see what you can do with it.

Halloween Treats and Christmas Ornaments

This is something I do for all the little Witches and Goblins that come to my door every Halloween, they are easy to make and it is fun to see the little ones faces when they the little ghosts and they get to choose the one they want. Holiday Card and Gift Box

I hope you will enjoy my tutorial on how to make the gift box for your card. Once I figured out the sizes. It is so easy to make, and it give such a nice presentation to your card. So for all my friends and the professional people I always give a Christmas card to I’m going to make a box to give them their Christmas card in.

I used heavy card stock for the box
BOTTOM
Cut 1 piece 6 inches x 11 inches
Score on each side 1/4 inch (Vertical)
Turn cardstock (Horizontal)
Score 5 3/4 inch and 5 5/8 inch
That will give you 1/4 inch at the bottom of the box
TOP
Cut 1 piece 6 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches
Score 1/4 inch on each side (Vertical)
Turn your cardstock (Horizontal)
Score 1 5/8 inch x 1 7/8 inch
That will give you the 1/4 inch for the top of the box
Card size is 5 x 5

Directions Once everything is cut, scored and folded you need to glue or tape (USING A VERY STRONG ADHESIVE) Make sure you only glue the SIDES of the bottom and the SIDES of the top so you can add your card inside the bottom. You can decorate your box any way you want too as it can be used for any kind of Holiday. When you are putting
the box and the top together where it gives you the 1/4 inch you need to cut into the scored 1/4 inch line so the edges fold in.

Let it Snow

Our Cards For Men Challenge #22 is all about Animals. So as you can see I had a hard time choosing my images. Over at Digital Delight as they are our sponsor for this challenge have so many wonderful images and I wanted to make a Christmas card. So the images I used are Jingles the snowman, Snowball the Snowman, North Pole Sign, Tangled lights reindeer, Tis the season to be jolly sentiment, Tree patterned, Sitting reindeer. The card I made is called a Tri Fold Card and here is the tutorial if you would like to try and make one. The card stock I used is from EK Success called Winter Wonderland. I used Liquid Appliqué White heat set it and added some Diamond dust from Flora Craft to make it sparkle. The gem stones are from The Paper Studio. Organdy ribbon and 2 bards to hold the flowers together. I did use some stickers. I made the Christmas Swag last year and added some jingle bells.

Here is a close up. Matte cardstock 6 1/2 x 4 1/2. Brilliance inks, sponges and started with Mediterranean Blue going side to side next adding Sky Blue, Ivy, Olive, Gramma Green, softly adding Orange, Yellow, Coral and finished it off with more of the Mediterranean Blue on the edges. Stamped a Fern stamp from Great Impression on the edges. The sentiment is from The Angel Company and punched it out with Stampin’ up’s word punch. My little ghosts are stamped out with an unknown punch. Bats are punched out with Martha Stewards border punch. For the moon I punch out a 1” circle with Stampin’up punch. Copic Markers I used are:Skin E11, E00, E50. Blouse and Shoes E42, E41. Handel on the Umbrella E31, E30. Hair E19, E18, E08, E02. Pants and Umbrella BV00, BV000, BV0000. On the Umbrella I also used a little G00, Y00 and to give the darker lines or the distressed look I used W3. I sponged around Tilda with Brilliance ink Lavender. I used some Diamond Glaze and added a touch of Deco Art Glamour Dust to give some sparkle to look like rain drops. Corner rounder from Making Memories. Stampin’ up Word Window punch for the sentiment. Three Silver dots I made from The Pearl Pen.

The paper I have in the background is called Parchment Paper. This is what is called a Parchment Craft. I had followed a pattern, you put your parchment paper over the pattern and I traced the flowers with white ink by keeping the pen in an up the upright position to keep the lines as fine as possible. Then you turn over the paper and place it on the soft side of a embossing pad. Very carefully go over the flowers petals and embossing all the flowers. I did add some Stickles Star Dust to give my flowers some sparkle. When you do the entire card it is just stunning.

I made this awhile ago and I wanted to share this with all my friends. It is a sketch I followed from The Stamper’s Quest Magazine. I left about a 1/4 inch space between each square so my card (now it is a picture) size is 81/2 X 81/2, I going to put it in a frame.

It is that time of year again and I’m from Wisconsin and I have 3 grown son’s, a husband and so I guess I had to become a Packer Fan so now I watch all the Packer games. I do not watch any of the other game. My oldest son David went to the Super Bowl last year and he said if we win again he will go again, he had a great time. Harry Potter

My grandson has been reading all of Harry Potter Books and he enjoys the books so I thought I would make his birthday card this year with Harry Potter on it. I found this wonderful drawing in the coloring book section for Harry Potter. Their are a lot of wonderful coloring book pictures so it was hard to choose. I do want to mention that it said the drawing was by Eruadan, what a stunning job. I just love the drawing.
We are having Challenge #27 at Color Me Creative and it ends September 30. The challenge is to color you card with copic markers doing it Sepia or Black/white and having one pop color. For the Sepia colors I used E47, E44, E43, E42, E41, E40.

Happy Monday to everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful week end. In a way it was a sad one remembering all that happened 10 years ago, the things all Americans have lost but then it is good to see that people have moved on with their lives. This will never be forgotten and I personally think they are doing a wonderful job in New York City to preserve everything so for generations to come they w8ill be able to understand what had happen. God bless everyone one of those families and all of our Soldiers.

Have a Magical Day

We are starting Challenge #26 at Color Me Creative Classroom and if you color your images with copic markers you are invited to join in on our challenge. We love to see all levels of work and our theme for our challenge is FALL OR HALLOWEEN. Our challenge will end on September 16, 2011 at 8pm.
Here are some samples for the FALL THEME and for the HALLOWEEN THEME. Our Sponsor for this challenge is THE STAMP FAIRY you can win a $15.00 gift certificate for her store and Suzanne is giving away a Package of Cryogen Cardstock. These are some great prizes.

The type of card I made is called a Spinner card. You can fine the directions here to make one yourself, they are easy to make and the kids just love them. What happens if you have never seen one is the sentiment spins around from side to side when you more the card and spins. The images I used are all from Stamp Fairy the house is called Halloween 2, Tommy Wizard was a Freebie sentiment, Tommy Wizard #1 and Pumpkin was also a Freebie. I had merged all my image together and after I did that The Stamp Fairy came out with the Pumpkins so I cut them out for the card.

To create the area for the spinner.
Stampin’ Up punch called Word Window.
Stampin’ Up 1 1/2 inch to punch out the sentiment.Stampin’ Up.
One Stampin’ Dimensional self adhesive foam mounts, they work really well because of the shape.
I also use one penny that gives a little weight so it moves real easy.

NOW WHEN YOU ARE PUTTING THE SPINNER TOGETHER.

You punch out the area were you want for the spinner to be then you put (I used my sentiment) on the front of the card and the pull the paper off the foam mount and stick that to the sentiment and now pull the foam mount off the other side and stick that to the penny. You are going to have to put foam tape all around your card so it is lifter up so your spinner has room to spin. You can more your card side to side and see the spinner spin. I only made a small area for the spinner you can make your area as big as you want. DONE.

Fairy Land/ Tutorial to make a Triple Easel card

The challenge at Color Me Creative classroom has started today. My card was so much fun to make. I love doing cards like this. New Challenge #25 will run until September 2nd. The Challenge this time will be all about things that have wings. You need to have fairies, butterflies, dragonflies and so forth. We have a wonderful Photo for inspiration.
The tutorial on the Easel card starts on the bottom.

Use YOUR COPICS, COPIC REFILLS OR COPIC AIRBRUSH SYSTEM (Or ProMarkers if you have them) to color any image of your choosing but it must have WINGS!! Use the photo as inspiration if you'd like to! Use any image you want BUT MAKE SURE YOU LINK BACK TO THE CMC CHALLENGE in your blog post!! ALL PROJECTS MUST BE NEW & NOT BACK-LINKED!! Do not forget when you enter you card to enter to inlinkz.com and them upload your card to the gallery and TAG (WINGS) so everyone can see your card.
The Prizes for the winner of the challenge are (randomly chosen) will get: *A pack of Copic Blending Paper * and $15 to spend on digi images at Make It Crafty (both gifts from Zoe of Make It Crafty) My images are from Make it Crafty this is one of my favorite sites to go to. The images I used are called “Sapphire Sitting Fairy Digi Stamp”, “Stairway to Heaven Digi Stamp” and “Timber Top Ridge Digi Stamp”.

Here is a side view of what the Triple Easel card looks like. It is not hard to make. The paper I used for my background is from Stitchy Stamps it is one of their paper pack that they sell called Garden Fairies Meadow Paper. So I printed it out on my computer. I did cut it a little larger them the right size but I did not want to cute the tree down any more.

I did end up cutting my images out. I colored with copic markers Tree G28, G24, G21, G20. Trunk E25, E23, E21, Birds R27,R24, R22. Ground YG95, YG93, YG91. Rocks E43, E42, 441, E40. Flowers Y15, Y13, Y11. I went around the tree with BG10.
The Stairway I tried to make it look like water was running down so I used colors BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10. I add some White Liquid Appliqué and heated it so it would puff up a little. I also put some Diamond Glaze to give it some shine. For the Ivy on the gates the color I used G85, G82, G21. I added some stickles glitter glue star dust and yellow. I wanted something to make the gate a little stronger so I cut a small piece of Transparency and glued it to the back.
Now for Sapphire I used R85, R83, R81. Skin E50 E00. Belt and Trim Y15, Y13, Y11, Hair C9, C7, C5. Eyes E35, Wings BG10 and some Stickles glitter glue Star dust. I add a strip for the front area doe her to sit on because I made to just a little to big for the front panel and I do not remember what the name and who makes that strip :( sorry. I used some glitter brads and also some Stampendous stickles for the middle of the flowers. To finish my card off I added a bow. I do how you like my card. This is for my grand daughter her birthday is in September she will be turning 6, so now I have to hide it from her so she will not see it.

How to make a Triple Easel Card. I used Martha Stewart score it.

Here are the measurements, I used tin paper but you would want to used a good card stock for your frame.

Cut 1- 5 1/2 x 11
Cut 3- 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
Score 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 Yellow large easel
Score 2 3/4 and 1 3/8 pink, purple small easel
The 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 you will set a side.

I did them in colors so you will be able to see each layer. The larger I did in yellow so that is my 5 1/2 by 11 so now you are going to score it at 5 1/2 and at one side score it at 2 3/4.

You will fold toward the inside of the card. Make sure you score your paper very well. Your first part will look like this. If you do not have any kind of way to score your card this part is to show you that you do not need to have one. All you need to do is fold it in half and then fold only one side in half again. So you will do this.

Now I will do it so you have the measurements. Score at 2 3/4 and score again at 1 3/8 only one side. The sizes you used for score the purple are the same sizes you would use for the pink.

Now you have your back piece to apply.

When you make your Triple Easel card and as you apply all your goodies you will be putting your card together. I found the middle (pink) part I glued or taped about 1 inch from the front bottom (yellow) and then I put down the front (purple) on to the bottom (yellow). Your 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 (green) you would glue or tape to the bottom (yellow). I hope you understand. If you have any question just let me know.

Tree that stands alone, Something different for me

I'm a SAHM with three young children. I trained in Textile Design at the Glasgw School of Art and I love all things handmade, but especially papercrafts. I love to doodle ... and my doodles are available to purchase as digital images through Stitchy Bear Stamps.

This is how I did my card. I did a little tutorial for you to sow you how I made the frame around the tree.

I used my brayers to created the colors on my card. I used Kaleidacolor and the ink color I use is Melon Melody, if you have never used this ink it is an ink that you can slide a part after you open the top and it is raised it come in so many different shades of colors it is by Tsukineko.

I punched the edges with Carl Carla Craft corner punch. When you start with your thread you need to start on the back and tape it close to the edge. Very thin Metallic thread when I wrapped it around several times on one side to give it a thicker look.

Go to the next punched area and wrap it around several times for the thickness, and so fourth.

Autumn Blessings

I needed to do a fall card for a friend. This image is from Sititchy Stamps, I think she is so cute so I thought I would use her on a card. Stitchy is also having a challenge all you have to do is use one of the images they sell in the store. So the is challenge #74 for them. I also used her for one of Splitcoast Stamper challenges called Dare to get Dirty and that is how I got the sketch for my card.. This is the first time I have enter a card in one of Splitcoast Stamper challenges so that was fun. The sentiment I used is from Digi Doodles.

I used several punches one from Punch a Bunch called small maple leaf and the other one from McGill’s called flourishes. I used my Spellbinder Scalloped Oval to cut out the image, Stampin up circle punch to cut out the sentiment. Pearl Pen and added some Sunny Yellow dots. My paper is DCWV (Die Cut With a View). I printed my image out on Neenah solar white. Sponged around the top with Brilliance ink Sky Blue.

Copic markers are Shorts YG67, YG63, YG61. Shirt Y15, Y13, Y11. Skin E50, E00. Shoes C00, C1. Hair E35, E31, YR21, YR24. Leaves and Grass E07, E25, E31, YR12, YR09, YR04, Y35, Y32, Y38, G24, G21.

In my garden

Can you believe this I’m still working on getting better. I do not like this. My sore throat is better but I’m still horse when I talk so I try not to talk but still pretty weak. I take a medication for my arthritis that make it hard for me to fight off any kind of infections but this is the first time I have been sick since I have been on this medication. I’m not sure this is the right thing for me. I’m going to have to have a talk with my Rheumatologists. Enough about that.

Over at Color Me Creative we have a new Challenge #24 starting August 7 and ending August 19, 8:00pm EST. The challenge is FRIENDSHIP, we would like you to color you embellishments to match your card with your copic markers. My butterflies, they are called Exotic Butterfly (small) set of 3dies, Frangipani (Plumeria) with leaves die, English Tea Party Doily die, are all from Cherry Lynn Designs. I have a circle cutter I used to cut out my image, sorry I do not know who makes it. The gems I used I colored them with B37 copic marker.

The ribbon I colored with B37 copic marker. I also made a pin using 1-10mm, and a pearl 1-5mm pearl with a 1-3mm Swarovski Crystal. My top bead is called a coin bead but I can’t remember what the name of that bead is. I do not have any of the cheep beads. I thought they looked nice together. This is a nice way to use some of my beads also.

The pearls I colored that are around her neck and on her ears, I used copic marker B37 and these are just cheep beads. These are the copic I used to color my stamped image. First I stamped her on Cryogen paper. The other paper is from Stampin’ up. Dress B37, B34, B32, E40,E41, E42, E43., Hair E31, E25, E50, E51. Skin E00, E000, E51. Floor E87, E81. I sponged around with distress ink color Tea Dye.

My grandson and even Mommy did it, come see what

Remember this handsome young man. This is my grandson Aiden he has been doing something very special for a real long time. He has been growing his hair out. He wanted to donate his hair when it is long enough to locks of love so he can help all the children that do not have any hair. I took this picture in March 2011.

This picture was taken just before they cut their hair. Now another good thing came of Aiden’s idea Mommy said that she would grow her hair out as well. So Aiden is on the left and Mommy is on the right.

They both look like they did something wrong, put it was the other way.

This is the cut after it is all done. WOW!!! Look how long Jessica’s hair is and look how think Aiden’s hair is. Aiden’s was 12 inches long and Jessica’s was 24 inches long plus they cut a couple more inches off to make a style for their hair.

So mother and son look really good after it is all done and grandma is so proud. I could not ask for two more beautiful people to be in my life. I do have the most wonderful family anyone could ever want and bless then all. So proud to be a grandma♥♥♥

Hello to all my friends. I do hope your week is going better than mine. I was hoping I would be feeling much better but I’m a little better today but not much. I did go back to the doctors yesterday and she give me a stronger medication and I can feel it is working a little so I do hope I will feel better tomorrow. I made this card, not for any reason and I wanted to share it with you. It is an image from Tiffany Doodles, if you look under flowers you will fine “Dogwood Branch Digital Stamp”. Tiffany has many wonderful flower images. I printed my images out on Neenah Solar white 80#. I really like Neenah paper.

The other paper is from K&G Company. It is called Purple Butterfly Glitter paper. This one of my favorite colors but I also know someone else that loves these colors so I might surprise her with a card for no reason. I know she love my cards. I hope you can tell I have Deco Art/Glamour Dust Crystals and I put some very lightly on the flowers, I wanted then to match the paper. If you would see the card it looks so much prettier then the picture. The embellishments I used I cut out of the paper I could not through any of it away. Around the frame of the flowers I put some Inka Gold color I used is purple. My pearl dots are from Pearl Pen,color “Ice White” and I make then myself.

Copic marker are V95, V93, V91, V25, V20, BV0000, YG67, YG63, YG61, Y15, B0000. I hope you enjoyed my card. It is going to get cooler here at least that is what the weather man says. I sure hope so. I would love to turn off the AC and let in some fresh air and take a nice walk but it has been so HOT a person can not catch one’s breath outside.

Sorry I have not been around much but I have not been feeling very well. I made time to get my card dome for our challenge at Cards for Men we are at Challenge #16. I used an image from Make it Crafty and my image is called “Alf and Dylan fly a Kite digi stamp”. They have so many wonderful digi stamps you really need to stop by and check then out. This was hard for me you need to keep your card “Clean and Simple” but this image helped because their is so much going on in it. The sentiment I found at TLC creations it was one of their free sentiments, they have so many wonderful images and sentiment they give out free every day, always remember to give then a big thank you when you take the free images.. I guess you do not have much to say when it is “Clean and Simple” card. The paper I used is from Die Cuts with a View. The ink is from my printer. Buttons and I cut the backs and shaved then to make sure they would lay flat.

Copic markers for the boy his Shirt and the Flower YR68, YR65, YR61. Shorts, socks and undershirt B24, B23, B21. Hair E37, E35, E31. All Skin E51, E00, E000. Kite R39, R37, R35. Both Shoes C00, C1, C3, C5. Elder gentleman suite YG67, YG63, YG61, I also added some white from the Gelly Roll Pen and I have a hard time with that… I really do not know if I like it. I have tried before and I’m just not sure so I stopped. Ground G28, G24, G21. For the background I just sponged softy some Brilliance “sky blue”.

Got some medication from the doctor today so I hope it helps me feel better. This has been around way to long. Have to go tomorrow for some blood work hope they find out what this is. The image that I used is from The Paper Shelter it is called “Steam Punk Girl”. They have many wonderful images in the store so if you get a chance stop by and take a look. These are from Prima flowers, Champagne Rose color Teal. I won these at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store. They come in many different beautiful colors. I also punched out some Rock Fern with my Punch Bunch punch to add some greens.

The two Butterflies are stickers from EK Success, they are Vellum. They have some really pretty butterflies out their.Red Ribbon, Gems and a square stone I found among some of my embellishments, Stickles glitter glue “Star Dust”.

Sharing Things.

First I wanted to share with all my friends that I had a chance to meet Marianne Walker at CHA in Chicago on Friday. I stopped at the Splitcoast booth and was talking to one of the ladies. They where at sharing with everyone the copic makers and Marianne NEW Beginners Book. I have hoping that they had her one on Shadows and and Shapes but they did not because I would of gotten that one. I was telling her how much I liked Marianne work and if it was not for her I would of not learned the beginning things because where I live their is no one that teaches copic classes. So I had read all her blogs called I Like Markers. On her blog she tells you where the next Certification class is going to be, so she keep you up to date on that. As I looked up and I see the name on the girl standing right in front of me it is Marianne Walker. All I could think of is I hoped I had said everything nice about her and I’m sure I had. One of my favorite images she did was this guitar, I loved how she did the shadow on it and her coloring is outstanding. Then she also had her books with her with many picture of her work. She is a very talented person.Besides that very nice, friendly, and easy to talk too. I would of loved to of Spent more time with her but we had to get going. I really did enjoy my time with you Marianne and thanks for sharing things with me.

The sentiment is something Roberta wrote and I just love it. I sponged around it with Brilliance ink Shy Blue.

The say Boys and Their Toys my girlfriend Kathy makes these at her work with the scrapes pieces of whatever this is and she can make then with any kind of saying and they just stick to your paper, I just love then. I’m asking her for more. Here is my Key, it is one I had. The round clear disk #25 is from Epiphany Crafts. I really like that you can put the same color of the paper you are using on the back and it just sticks.

I used Diamond Glaze on his helmet, eye glasses and his bike. I made some dots with my Pearl Pen by Viva Decor color Bronze and I can’t say enough how much I love those Pearl Pens and they make a lot of dots. If you remember you can get then at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store in all kinds of beautiful colors. I have been working on getting all of then. The paper I have used is from Stampin’ up. The corner punch is from Carl's crafts.

Here is the close up. Now the copics I used are Bike YR 24, Y15,Y11, Y00. C7, C5, C3, C1. Shoes E37, E35, E34. Tires C9, C7, C5, C3, C1. Helmet, Mets and under shirt R17, R14, R12. His Outfit BG 18, BG13, BG11, BG10. Skin E21, E00, E000. R21. Spica clear, red and yellow.

I hope you all have had a wonderful week end. It was VERY HOT here in the upper 90’s. I’m sure some of you think that is not bad but the dew point is in the 70’s and that make it feel like it is 110 so it you do not have an AC at lot of people get really sick and even die around here because it dose not get that hot around here. I have to tell you I had a fantastic week end. I went down to Downers Grove, Illinois to a store called Memories and Beyond and had a chance to meet Suzanne Dean. She was teaching some classes that started at 9:00am and ended at 7:30pm with a couple of brakes. I learned so much more and she is a wonderful teacher and person.

Their is something else I want to say I have some Feed Blitz girls that have signed up to receive my posts and want to THANK YOU so much for being so faithful to me. I went in to check on my Feed Blitz account and these girls signed up to follow me right after I put it on my blog and they are STILL with me. I do not know who you are. I only know two of the people and that is Sandy and Kym but I really love each and everyone of you. These are the girls that started right after I put Feed Blitz that is a girl named Kathy, Lorie, Vbuck, Kbee, Trish, Karen and you are still with me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Looking out my window

This is a card I made. It is a stamp set from the Angel Company called “Window Box”. It is a fun set of stamps. I have an embossed cuddlebug “bricks” for the front and colored over the bricks with some Memento Desert Sand ink. I used Martha Steward grass punch, her fern punch, branch and a flower punch. I added flower soft to the window box flowers. Stickles glitter glue for the center of the flowers.

This is what the inside of the card looks like and I did not use all the stamps that come with the set.

First of all I want to tell you what my favorite technique is and that is feathering and flicking. This is a card I created. Card above is with the doors closed. The doors do open.

This is just the middle of the card. This is a Tiffany Doodle digital set, it is called “Dahlia in full Bloom”'. The copic markers I used are YR00, YR02, YR01, YR04, YR07, YR09, YR20, YR24, Y30, B0000, YG91, YG93. Copic MultiLiner SP Yellow, Spica Lemon and Baby Blue.

The doors I are colored with copic markers E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E39, C1, C3, C5. Transparency for the inside of the doors.

I added Diamond Glaze to the flowers and the jar, This time I did not make the flowers, these are some paper ones I had so I added then to the card.

I’m having a hootin tootin fun summer….

This was a fun card to make. Sorry I’m a little late in getting it up. With the the holidays things have been a little crazy here but now we are back to normal, if that is what anyone what to call it. I think summer time is a little crazy for everyone. We took everyone to the Milwaukee Zoo on Sunday (HOT). Most exciting thing was the Elephant he was putting dirt all over himself and putting it up in the air. It was really cool to watch him. Then their was a Bear that was playing around and jumping up and down like he was doing some tricks. Then their was the Peacocks all over the place, found out at the Zoo has 64 Peacocks and they do not bother people. They just walk around, the kids really enjoyed watching then but of course we could not get one to open up it’s feathers so we could get a nice picture. In all I think we all had a good time watching the animals and learn some sad things about the animals also. I need to get back to my card.

The Image I used is called ‘LIL RODE O BOY’.

To make the Easel card I used my Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Grand Scalloped Circle. For the image I used the smallest one and cut him out. Next size up I cut out once. Then the third size in I cut out three times for the top and the bottom and back. You could of cut out more if you would of wanted more layers on the bottom but it would of been up to you. I really like these Spellbinders Grand’s. I do not have very many of then but I’m going to try and get good use out of then. The paper I used is from Die Cuts with a View.

The sentiment I used is something I made up and I’m not sure if it is even spelled right. I punched it out with Stampin up Oval punch and sponged around it with some ink that was on a sponge and I have no idea was color it was all I know it was blue. (Sorry) But it worked! I never know what I’m going to do… The embellishments are just some things I had. The saddle and hat are buttons and I clipped off the back and made that smooth and glued then on. The little Banjo (I think) and the copper ribbon buckle. I know I talk too much…. But I try to get everything in for you. I can do like a lot of girls do and say just a few words. IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO DO IS MAKE MY BLOG POST MUCH SHORTER I WILL DO THAT BUT IF YOU DO NOT MIND READING I WILL KEEPING TELLING YOU HOW I DID MY CARD, THINGS I USED AND ANY OTHER THINGS THAT GO ALONG WITH WITH. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

These are the Copic Markers I used. Hat E33, E35, E37, R24, R27. Face E21, E00, E000, R20. Shirt YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97. Jeans B91, B95, B99. Belt E33,E35, E37. Gun C00, C1, C3. Boots E23, E25, E27, R24, R27. Rope and Ground E42, E43, E44. Teddy E31,E33, E35. Grass G21, G85, G94, G99. Sky B0000, B91, C00, C1 after add a little of those colors and going over every thing with 00, I used my template and add a little Brilliance Ink Sky Blue. I also added some twine I had and I found this silver star.

I do have to tell you as I was coloring my card it did bring back memories from when I was a little girl. My youngest brother (I wont say his name but it is Bill) at that time we called him Billy loved to play cowboys and this reminds me of him. He would have his gun in his holster but he would be riding his 3 wheel tricycle and he would go around shooting everyone. I have seen pictures of him opening Christmas gifts now we are going back to the 1950’s we might of been 5 years or 6 years old Bill is a year younger then I am and I can remember him having a gun and holster set on so her was a cowboy for a long time. He was a lot of fun having as a younger brother even as we got older we always stayed close as brother and sister and even now he is my little brother and I love him so.

and I very sorry to say that, for all my life I have only heard the first verse. So I wanted to share this with you just in case you did not know we have a second verse. I would love to thank that Marine for doing what he did because I would of never of heard the second verse. I want to wish everyone a HAPPY 4TH OF JULY. Be safe and celebrate America their is no other country like our country that has the freedom like we do. GOD BLESS each and every one of our SOLDIERS for what they had done so we can have the freedom that we do have.

Just a little note….

I have my card done for the challenge at SCACD Friends with heart Challenge #13. This week it is CLEAN AND SIMPLE and the challenge ends on July 4th before 11:59am. So their is still time to make a card. This was really hard for me as you know I like to put all kinds of embellishments on my card so I had to stop myself. The stamp I used is one of Elisabeth Bells it is one of The Peekers called Day Dreaming Peeker. The little sentiment is from The Angel Company.

I used a ribbon and I made my ribbon using a Bow Easy. I love the Bow Easy it make making a bow so easy. Is that not twisting my words ha ha. At the end of each ribbon I put a Epiphany Crafty round 14 Pieces and I made then with their machine that makes it so easy to make. The three Pearl Pen yellow dots on the right side I made. I do not know if you can see but it does look a little gray but it is SILVER on the punched out flowers and I also put INKA GOLD around my card. This is something new for me, I got it at the convention and to my surprise they also have it at Susana’s Store. It comes in all colors. I got it in pink, red, blue, silver and purple. Stop over at the store and see what you can do with it. The punch is called Baby Breath by Easy Cut Craft.

I put this sentiment on the inside of the card. I think is sentiment say a lot for friendship. It is from The Angel Company. I think I had to much ink on the stamp.

My image that I used from Tiddly Inks is called “Bride and Groom”. The image is just beautiful. I made a step card, they are so easy to make and also look so nice. I used the Spellbinders Pata Set, I used the corner and the border from the set and Martha Steward Large Wild Flowers Border and Corner. The flower, dragonfly and flourishes are from Magnolia Dies.

There are also pearls, soft peach gems, soft blue gems. I did sponged around the flower, dragonfly and the flourishes with some distress ink aged mahogany.

At the bottom of there feet, it is like a tinsel silver in color, very small but I do not know what it is called and I put some bunched up ribbon in peach.

The shy B0000, B91, C00, C1 after I put those colors around I applied 00 all over the background so those colors would blend some and then I went over lightly with my template and brilliance ink sky blue. Her Hair E57, E55, E53, E51, E50. His hair E33, E30, YR23, Y20. Jacket C00, C1, C3. C3, C5, C7, C9. Shirt C00, C1, Pants C1, Shoes C1, C3, Floor E43, E44. Her dress R20, R22. I added some peach glitter and some black glitter.

I wish for you…

I first want to say this was one of the hardest cards I have done in a long time. All the little details in the fence and everything else or maybe I’m just too picky. I’m very happy how the card turned out but it sure took me awhile to put it all together. These are two stamps from Make it Crafty and I masked then. I do not know if you have used Eclipse Paper it is wonderful for masking. You just stamp on it and cut the stamp out and lay it over the stamp you want to mask and it sticks and is removable so you can use it over and over again. The stamps are made by Make it Crafty and are called Petals and Palings and the girl is called Summer Dreams and you can get these stamps and a lot more of Make it Crafty stamps at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store. I did this card for my daughter Jessica (I do not like calling her in law) it is her Birthday so I wanted to do a special one that I know she has not seen. She always looks at my all my cards. Also for SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge #12 and it is for this week “ANYTHING GOES”.

For the flowers I used 6 petal EK Success punch, Birch leaf is from Punch Bunch, and the Classic Butterflies are from Martha Steward. The ticket is from Digital Delight images and the sentiment is from The Angel Company. Added some pink gems. My Pearls on the right side are from Viva this color is ICE WHITE, it comes in all kinds of colors. You really need to see what this product is.

Here I am again with another card for the SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge #11 and this week it is “SUMMER FUN”. This is one of Elisabeth Bell stamps called “New Friend”. I used Cryogen Heavenly White #89 from Paper Temptress. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp my stamp. I did some sewing around my image so I tried my Sew Easy Stitch Piercer, I used the one that comes with the handle. It is the first time I tried mine. I think it turned out pretty nice. I also used Smooch color Azure on her buttons, flowers on her blouse, bird feathers and on her hair band. With my Epiphany craft Machine I made a cap round #14 with the Die Cuts With a View Paper I used. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. They also have a blog. I used Brilliance Ink color Sky Blue for the sky and some templates I have.

I think she has created such a cute friendship with the Baby Blue Bird. I would love to be able to do that.

Here are a couple side views of my card. The size of my card is 5 inches by 5 inches. The little ticket is from Digital Delight. I love that they have one that says nothing. So I stamped a Happy Birthday sorry I do not know who made the stamp. The ink I used I bet you know is Brilliance Sky Blue.

This is a Blue Bird. I get Birds and Bloom Magazine (one of my favorite) so I look up all the birds and I copy then from the magazine. The is a Stampin’ up Punch and I love making birds with it. So that is way I made the little girl holding a Blue Bird. I tried to make it look like a nest as mom is watching her baby bird. The nest is punched with Martha Steward Autumn Branch.

Here are the little summer flowers these are Daisy the punch is by EK Success, the middles I had already punched with some glitter paper and they where punched with some mini flower, corner flower, snowflakes. Martha Steward Branch punch.

For her Hair I used E50, YR21, YR23, YR24, YR31. Blouse- Y11, Y13, Y15, Y18. Skin- E21, E00, E000, R20. Blue Bird- B32, B34, YR21. Jeans- B0000, B01, B02, B06. Grass- YG03, YG95, YG97, YG99. I think I got it all. At Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store they do sell copic markers in sets.

Send Good Wishes, I made two different cards.

Sorry I have not been around much. Not been feeling very good but I’m fine and get back on track again. I made these cards for one of my clubs I belong to and I wanted to share then with you. We had to make a Birthday card. Of course nothing simple for me but this was not that hard at all and all the girls really like it in fact most of then made two. They thought it turned out so nice it would make a great Wedding card. Here is the second one I made also.

As you can tell they are pretty much the same, I just used different punches and die cuts on then. I used my favorite color Brilliance Ink Sky Blue. Sponged around most everything tried to do it lightly. The sentiment was one I wrote using my word program.The embellishments are the same on both cards blue gems and pearls. I used a Pearl card stock and my sentiment would not go though my printer with that card stock so I had to use just my regular card stock that is why I used the Brilliance Ink Sky Blue it helps to hide the two different papers. Everything else is cut or punched out with the Pearl card stock.

Here are two side views of each of the cards so you can see what they look like from both ends. The first card I called Send good wishes and the second one I called Special Day. Now I will try and tell you what dies and punches I used on each card.

Start with Send Good Wishes. The card are center step cards (Both) Very easy to make. The center sentiment I cut out with Large Floral Doily Motifs Spellbinders Shapeabilities. I used mostly punches on this card Martha Stewards Monarch Butterfly. Garden Trellis, Doily Lace Trim, Double Pop Up Water Lily, Rock Fern that is from Punch Bunch.

Special Day. This is the main Spellbinders sets I used. So you can see what pieces. The sets are called Floral Doily Motifs and Floral Doily Accent and you can get both these sets ay Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store.

I also used on the Special Day card Magnolia Doohickeys dies the Flowers, Dragonfly and the flourishes. No punches.

His mother will not let him fly he is 13 years old and he would like to fly, boy it would sure save a lot of time because we have to bring him back and she will not meet us half way. I’m back again with my card for the SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge card this week We are doing Challenge #10 and it is a sketch. It ends Monday June 14 12:00pm.

My stamp I’m using is one of Victoria Case’s it is called “Spa Time” and I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo black on Cryogen Heavenly White card stock. The Pearls are Bella Baubles string of Pearls. Used the Epiphany Craft Shape Studio Tool Solid Round 14 and I have the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps. You can get all these thing right at Susan’s Customs Art and Card Design Store and a hold lot more. I cut out my stamp with The Spellbinder Scalloped Oval and sponged around it with Brilliance ink “Sky Blue”. The Paper I used is from Affinity by The Paper Studio. Used Diamond Glaze and Stickles Glitter glue “Star Dust”. The three things I have punched out are from Martha Steward, that is her “Vintage Doily” punch.

The Copic markers I used are Cup B02, B00, B04. Water B0000, B01. Towel YR20, YR21, YR23, Flower Y02, Y06, Y08, Skin E11, E00, Hair E33, E31, Bee’s Y02, Y06, YR23 and the leaves YG93, YG95. You also can buy copic and refills from Susan’s store.

This is my first card being on the design team and the NEW CHALLENGE #20 will run until June 24th BY 8:00PM EST. It is a BI-MONTHLY CHALLENGE. Your challenge this time is all about BRUNETTES!!! You have to use COPIC MARKERS TO JOIN IN ON THE CHALLENGE.

We have a challenge going on at Cards for Men and the challenge is to make a card with the colors BLACK AND BLUE. So this is what I did to my card. I put several of the same image on the same card stock and made then all sizes. My image is called Hot Air Balloon, I bet you did not know that. ha ha The black and white dots are metal dots. My Journey stamp is from The Angel Company. I punched the photo corners out with one of Stampin up punches.

It is a little late but This challenge is in Honor of Memorial Day.

With Memorial Day already over with all I could think of was Happy Birthday America. Memorial Day or July 4th I’m so proud of our Soldiers each and every one of then. So I created this card. Theme of the challenge is they want to see STARS in Honor of Memorial Day, This is for the Challenge #9 at SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge Blog. You need to use one of the stamps that they sell at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store, I love the stamps she sells you should stop by and see all the wonderful ones she has in the store and she also has a lot of other things also. The stamp I used is from Victoria Case and is called “CELEBRATE”. The paper I used was Cryogen Heavenly white that is my favorite. I stamped the stamp with Memento ink tuxedo black. I used a Spellbinder Big Scalloped Ovals Large to cut the cake out. The paper I used in the background is from Die Cuts with a View.

I punched the stars out with the Funky foam. That foam has so much glitter and it looks so pretty. I cut the sentiment out of paper.

I tried to make one of those banners that people hang in front of their house.

I’m playing with my new toy. I just got Tim Holtz Alterations sizzix Decorative strip Rosettes it has 2 sizes. The upper one is the larger one and this one is the small one. I did not want to big of ones because then I can not put then on my cards, this size is perfect.

This is it, the stamped image. The copic colors I used are R21, R22, R24, R27, R29, B21, B23, B24, B26. I used the Gellie Roll Clear star. Spica colors sky blue, orange, chocolate, yellow, red, melon and olive. i-Rock come in crystal or studs. I think they are made by imaginisce called hot rocks. i-Rock has a melting tool and what you do is put these little studs where you want then and then you use the heat tool and the top of the studs or crystals and maybe count to 5 seconds and the heat tool melts the glue that is under the studs and they are on your project. I got then at Michaels. I have had mine for awhile but I have not used then so I better get then out and use then. Trying to use all my things I have.

SMALL WONDERS

I made my card for a challenge at CMC Copic Challenge. So if you work with copics stop by and join our challenges we have some wonderful prizes and most of all GREAT people. You need to upload your card to the link and to the gallery and TAD it “FLUFF” Challenge ends June 10th 11.59pm. The Theme is FEATHERS.

That is what these Ruby-Throated (Anna’s) Hummingbirds are. They can do magical things. When I’m at my brothers house in Austin Texas her has then in early spring tell they leave. He get quite a few of then every year and I just love watching then one year we even got then one video, they are fast. I used my Birds and Bloom Magazine to get a good picture of then. I found a really awesome one it is called Rufous sometimes called Bully hummingbird because it is very serious territory it lives mostly in the north Alaska area and makes a trip back to Mexico it is over 4,000 miles. These images are from Tiffany Doodle Store. These are the Hummingbirds image and the flowers are called Petals Up image. I sponged the sky with Brilliance ink color Sky blue. Green ribbon and metal dots. The Small Wonder stamp is from Stampin up.

Here is the close up and I used copic. These are the ones I used R14, R17, R81, R83, R85, R89. E30, E31, E33, C00, C01, YG21, YG23, YG25, YG91, YG93, YG95. Spica Pens Red, Melon, Pitch Black.

Graduation Day 2011

I just finish this drawer card for one of my best friend who just Graduated from Collage. I’m so proud of her. I was with her when she first started and believe me it has been years and she has gone though a lot of ups and downs and I’m still here for her. I wanted to make her something really special and I know she will treasure for the rest of her life. I thought she could put some special things in the drawer. I also reinforced everything with cardboard so it should last a long time. Blue is her favorite color so I did a lot in blues. The Graduation girl and the class of 2011I found is from Digital Delight shop. The Congrats image I found at Stamp Fairy. I did used Spellbinder Labels #8 the large one to cut out the the cardboards and cut out the paper I wanted on top. The blue the is behind the girl is the labels #8 it is the second on in and I cut her out with labels #8 3rd one in. I hope you understand that. I created the bottom myself. I can give you a pattern from Splitcoast stampers, it is different then mine but I’m sure you all know me, I do it my way.

Here is with the drawer open. I did line the inside of the drawer. I also took a picture before I put the watermark on so you can see what the front of the drawer looks like. I had a little piece of wood that swirled so I put that on the front and I had this little knob and I colored it with Copic E49 because it was unpainted.

These are some of the flowers I made. The one on the right side is the flowers from the top of the card on the right side. The ones on the left are the ones on the lower left left hand corner. I used Nellie Snellen Flower Medium Punch and the Medium Embosser FLP02 and the punch bunch mini snowflake for the center of the flower. For the leaves McGills Cedar Sprig. Punch Bunch large fern, medium twig. Sponged the edges of the flowers with Brilliance ink Mediterranean Blue.

Several of my friends we are going to take her out to dinner on Friday and spend some time together, we always have a good time together.

I added a charm to her card, I thought she would like that. Something she could keep.

This is from the New release called The Natural Beauty collection from Carmen Medlin. This stamp is called “The Traveler”. I did for the challenge at SCACD Friends Challenge Blog with Heart and for this week it is anything but it ends on Monday May 27th at 12:00pm and you can tell I’m really late with my card. If I was not this late I would do my dog over again. I’m not happy with how her turned out. I just love this stamp and I’m going to do it again. The dog is so beautiful but I did not do him right. I’m happy with how my lady turned out. The girls on the Design Team did a wonderful job this week on their cards you should stop over and check out their cards. The paper I used id from K & Co. the set is called Winter Wonderland. I did cut out The Traveler and used pop dots to raise her up. I added some yellow ribbon. Also some gem stones.

Now you can really see what I mean about the dog. Here is the close up of the stamped image. I used copic markers. Her dress BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78. Shall YG23, YG25, YG21. I do want to thank everyone that has commented on my cards. I have had a problem commenting on peoples blogs and from what I understand other people are having the same problem. Personally I’m really tired of this. I get to the blog and I write everything out and I go to post and it tells me I’m ANONYMOUS… Then it want me to sign into blogger and I do but it just keeps doing it over and over again. I sure wish they would get this fixed because I’m tired of this. Sometimes I get lucky and the comment will post but most of the time it will not post so I’m not staying away from you blogger is not letting post a comment and I do not know what to do.

I really like the image but it was hard to work with for a Patriotic theme, I would of liked to have had something that was toward that theme. But you take what you get and work with it.

I found this card really hard to do because the theme for the challenge is NO PAPER and what that means is no designer paper just solid papers, not much as far as embellishments. The Caps I have in the upper right I made the using the Epiphany Crafty tool and I punched out the same paper as I used for layering the image. I add some of the green and orange Twine.

I’m so Pretty Oh so Pretty….

I gave a card here for a challenge at SCACD Friends with a Heart Challenge Blog. The week we are at Challenge #7 and it is to make a card and only used “PINK, BLUE AND WHITE”. So I think I did it. She is such a cutie, one of Elisabeth Bell Stamps called “Oh Baby”. You can get all kinds of wonderful stamps at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design Store plus she has so many other supplies. You do need to use a stamp from Susana sells at her store to enter the challenge.

First of all here is the stamped image and of course I colored her with my copic markers. I used B0000, B000, BOO, B01 for her dress. R00, R01, R11 for her waist band, head band and boots. Her hair YR20, YR21, E21, E31. The flowers I got at the store. I did punch the scallop circles out with Marvy Unhida large purple and the mega green. The little stars are punch out with the star corner decoration punch bunch and I used white glittery funky foam. The little butterfly is one I have had, it was pink and I thought it would look nice. Now the ribbon the leaf and the ribbon I have the stars on is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Oh I do not want to forget I have 3 gem stars 2 blue and 1 pink. The very background paper is from Die Cuts with a View and I sponged around that with Brilliance ink Coral is not that paper wild? The blue is Coordination's paper almost forgot I did emboss the blue paper but I forgot what embossing folder I used (sorry)and I sponged around it with Brilliance ink Sky Blue and we can not forget my stamped image she is stamped on Crygoen Heavenly white with Memento’s ink and I sponged around her with the Brilliance ink Coral. I think I got everything, I guess I did not write everything down, it’s got to be that OLD AGE…

The Bride is waiting

This card I made for a challenge we have at CMC Copic Challenge Group, This is Challenge #18. We need to use a lot of WHITE. I really do not know if I did that but I tried, I’m not a white person so this was some what hard for me. Use the Inspiration Photo below to inspire your project if you'd like but your image should have A LOT of WHITE ON IT with only 1 pop of color!! You can certainly do a white wedding project but it is not required, just make sure there is LOTS OF WHITE! Remember you must shade white with grays, blues or creams!

I love the image I used it is from from Vivian Lau and is called “Doll-Bride”. She has a lot of beautiful ladies. I did use a lot of punches. From the top from Martha Steward is the Iron Gate punch, Garden Trellis punch and the Monarch Butterfly punch.

The flower on the left is called Queen Anne’s Lace and I used punches to make the flower, the mini snowflake for the flowers, white oak punch bunch and the medium Cosmos punch bunch. I put a charm on the card as you can see it is a heart and it says on the charm LOVE. I did punch a lot of things out with Funky Foam it is real cheep and you can get it in so many different colors and they all sparkle so beautiful. The swirls you see their is a die cut from Magnolia. The larger white flowers I punched out with Nellie Snellen punches. I added some gem to the butterfly.

The greens is a Punch Bunch called Mega Rock Fern. I tiny hearts punch is called Corner Decoration Punch it is 3D/5. The Brides flowers I used the mini snowflake and the mini white oak leaf and for the middle I used yellow Spica Glitter Pen. I made a very small ribbon for the flowers.

To be honest I think she turned out beautiful. I did not know what to do for her dress. It was not really fancy so I wanted to add some glamour to her. I always picture a veil as having sparkles and some diamonds her and their. So I did that. Now her dress really needed something. I did not want to put sparkles all over so I thought just by the ruffles and not right to the top and I added some gems, perfect but the top of her dress needed something so I added the same to the top and this is what it turned out to be. I do wish I had not started with the gold pearls but I had and I did not have enough to finish off the hold dress with the gold pearls but then I do not know it I would of liked it.

I also stamped the inside of this card.

For the inside of the card the sentiment is from Inky Anties, the ink I used is Brilliance sky blue, and the Kleenex Box is from Amuse Art Stamps and I colored the box with Spica pens. I just punched out with the medium size daisy Punch Bunch punch.

About my card I made a standard size card this time. I did make the flowers. I made the flowers to match the flowers the little boy has in his hand. On his tag I wrote get well. The stamped Get Well is from The Angel Company. I sponged around him with Brilliance ink Sky Blue. I colored him with copic markers. I added some ribbon. The punch I used for the Get Well was from Paper Shapers 1 1/4 inch Scallop Square.

It would be so nice it I could write in that upper space but I just do not know how to do that. But I wanted to tell you about my flowers, It is the Punch Bunch Daisy punch and I punch 3 for each flower. Popped then up with my tool and turned the petals just a little. Now I glued then together. All are Punch Bunch punches fond, cedar spring and fern. After I had then all put together I added the Stickles glitter glue orange, yellow and cinnamon.

Here is my little guy. The Butterfly punch is one I have had for a long time and it does not say who made it. I put 3 blue gems on the butterfly and some Diamond Stickles glitter glue to the wings.
